Elle, what color in the Elf setting powder are you using?
I agree, just tried these halo glow powders and I am blown away at how they perform.
I believe the No7 lift and illuminate is the spot on dupe. I’m not sure if it’s baked but it’s a pressed formula.
I have tried that one, but unfortunately they aren't cruelty free

I've use the soft radiance powder from elf frequenlty . It's great ,only thing it's a loose powder. I also enjoy the HG. Powders . xoxo

Wow!!!! I so very excited about this girl, I’ve been wanting the hourglass but the price kills my budget. I hated to even ask for it for Christmas, but this would fit nicely in my stocking!! Lol
I got the e.l.f powder a while ago and I liked it but the shade was too dark 😬 I need to get a lighter shade, I've never tried the one from Hourglass so I can't compare them, but if you say they're pretty similar, I trust you girl!

I'm currently using the elf Hello Hydration Face Cream, it has hyaluronic acid and a peptide complex. It's very good. Zero fragrance too.

Yes, I saw it at Target, wanted to try it and I am hooked. I stopped using loose powders because I now have mature skin, that went from oily to normal/dry and the Halo powder looks amazing on my skin. I love it!
Seriously, only your husband MIGHT be able to see what you're talking about regarding the eye area with the Elf...bc, both sides of your face look identical; the pores (which you don't have to begin with) are gone, skin is blurred, and looks very much lit from within. I am finding lots of drugstore powders really stepping up to high end, especially powders and I find them satiating, especially lately.

This is great! , i actually use this powder and when i saw you comparing it to hourglass, i was even more impressed with my elf powder. For those asking, i do not find that it settles into fine lines at all.

Love the Halo Glow for finishing but use the No 7 Lift and Luminate (in the silver case) just for under eyes - my holy grails for sure-and so glad to see the comparisons as I really save my high end purchases for foundations for the most part-thanks so much❣️👍🏼🥰

I’ve never tried (or been able to afford😢the Charlotte Tilbury) So I cant speak from experience- but it really does smooth out and blur the under eye without looking cakey imho ❤️and only $12.99 and will last forever! You get lots of product for the $ 👍🏼❤️💯

Thanks! I'm going to try the ELF halo powder. I've been using the Too Faced BTW loose powder most of this year, but with the temps so low in the east coast, my skin is already too dry. I've never tried drugstore makeup so I am EXCITED to save some money as well!!!

I tried the halo powder on a whim after watching Allie Glines use it a couple months ago. I absolutely love it! I like it just as well, if not more than all of the Hourglass (pressed & loose) powders or any other powder that I’ve tried so far.
They sell a hd under eye powder from elf
I’ve got it but haven’t used it yet as I didn’t think it would be anything special . I think I’ll have to get it out tomorrow. Thank you.

I use It's Bye Bye Pores under my eyes and Laura Mercier translucent setting powder every where else. Works for me but I may try the Elf! Thanks for the tip! I will say I'm in love with Charlotte Tilburys Airbrush Bronzer. It's soooo good. Perfect color for my fair skin and it looks flawless!!

I tried the ELF powder, and didn't feel like it compared with the Hourglass. The hourglass has a sparkle/shimmer/ whatever that I just haven't seen duplicated. I think for blurring it's about the same, but for me, the Hourglass has an extra oomph

I have heard that the No. 7 pressed powder (silver packaging) is a dead on dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder. I haven't used the CT so I cannot confirm. The No. 7 is very nice under the eyes though.

Elf translucent HD power is amazing. Try it you will love it along with your Elf pink powder.
the elf looked better! its amazing how it set your makeup without looking like it set your makeup! non aging! they just give you so little ! the n7 loose powder in translucent at target is 12$ and you get 20 grams it looks good on the whole face! same type of thing
I always get so skeptical when youtubers use the same brush for the different products because in my mind there’s always left over product from the more expensive one getting mixed in with the alternative. So it just ruins it for me because I feel like it’s not going to give a totally accurate outcome unless they use different brushes 😭😭😭😭

And Elf powder looks pretty too, but ingredients are not the best... At least for sensitive/acne prone skin; it has petrolatum, coconut oil and fragrance... But at least price is very affordable too.
Try the elf Hd too, it’s luminous but less pigmented. And it’s even less $6.

The first time I opened that elf powder and went to tap some out, the whole sifter felt out and I had a powder disaster. Still had about half the product left tho and it's good but I find that I can't wear it with more glowy foundations like wander, flower, etc without looking like a sweaty grease ball and I have normal leaning dry skin. It works great for me with more natural or matte foundations tho. 🥰
Hahaha this made me laugh bc I took the sifter outta my hourglass powder bc there was none coming out but I could tell there was still a bit left. It was SO HARD TO GET THAT THING OFF AND I HAD TO USE ACTUAL TOOLS😆 But it turns out there was a TON of product left.

Wondering why use both an under eye setting powder and all over setting powder? Why not use one powder overall?

Hourglass powders (same ones you love) are my go to powders. I have not tried the Elf powder, but now I will and like the idea of it as a drug store alternative. I also have and love my Ghost palette and it works fantastic for me for travel. Laura Geller used to have a baked palette like Hourglass, but they don’t sell it anymore and I still use my LG too. The formula in LG is just as beautiful.

Hey Elle, I might have missed it but what color did you use for all over the Face? And do you use Dim or Diffused under the eyes? You said Dim but I am sure it’s diffused??
so for elf I used light and hourglass I combine dim and diffused. Diffused is just under eye
