My top 5 all time favorite maps at the moment (not counting the one I'm going to mention at the end) are: 1.Vae Victis 2. Mori: Rebirth 3. Westland 4. Waterpark Zombies 5. Dead High But my all time favorite isn't even out yet, and it's "Isle of Cthulu". Beautiful map, insane EE, 3 bad ass boss fights, a plethora of mini bosses, loads of custom weapons and wonder weapons, the fact that you can literally play as a Panzer and a Tank! And much more. Best custom map I've ever played by far! Can't wait to see that one on the next list!
I feel having Waterpark on here (even if it is a good map), even if deserved. Is a bit off, due to the scummy behaviour of the map maker (Danny) not giving access to his tranzit remaster to people who have paid. He has also not gave any updates on the projects for the last 3 months.
He did the same thing with waterpark zombies and just disappeared close to release (it ended up releasing a year after) I was also a patreon member for waterpark zombies
Die rise still locked behind a pay wall, this paying for access to maps is ridiculous I don't mind donating to show appreciation for a released map but having different tiers of paid access when it doesn't get released to milk the money like they have with transit is not good

@@arn0000 he's basically avoiding everyone, he makes a map, then gets people to support him with money, and he disappears with no little information on the map or when people can play it, that's what's going on with the Tranzit Remake from him, plus he apparently just completely ripped off assets from the actual Tranzit map and some of the textures were just unfinished and some sounds effects were ripped straight from other games.

I feel like 2024 has been a relatively slow year so far in terms of custom map releases. Don't get me wrong there's been some good maps but there hasn't really been that leviathan/rainy death type map. Honestly the Minecraft map that Scriptwo released may be the most impressive so far in terms of easter egg and creativity at least. If you haven't played it I highly recommend it
Finally, I got my PC upgraded to be able to handle the BO3 Mod tools. I have been working on mapping for 2 weeks now, and I am going to keep at it. I love the zombies community, and I can't wait to someday give back to the community. To anyone wanting to start mapping, the tools are actually pretty simple when you get the hang of it. If you want to map, go for it, don't be discouraged, and don't be afraid to give it a try.
I see alot of people praising water park zombies. Its a decent map, but that’s it decent. Im not even saying this for whatever tf danny did, I just find it incredibly obnoxious to actually play and setup: 1. Doors are stupid expensive, shit makes zetsubou look cheap. 2. if you dont find the parts to PAP early you’re as good as dead on the 1st crab or alien brute encounter 3. the map isnt designed to accommodate maneuvering around the brute’s laser whatsoever 4. the parts for everything blend so well into the maps textures, that it gets annoying to find everything even when you’ve memorised all the locations 5. The EE steps are just tedious and annoying, especially the one where you get the melee kills challenge from neil, and for some reason, instakills just dont spawn? Ive literally lost like 3 Runs because of this exact issue, waiting 10+ rounds for an instakill that never arrives 6. Having PAP be delayed by a couple of rounds after every use of the teleporter is stupid as shit when you realise teleporting multiple times is integral to the easter egg. All it does is pad out the length of the game for no reason, making it all the more frustrating 7. The map’s layout itself isnt very interesting. Its a nice blend of spaceland and splash from the looks department, I’ll give it that, but actually maneuvering across the map is just annoying most of the time because everything looks samey

A lot of these guys making these maps have other jobs, yet still find the time to make these maps. You literally don’t have to pay to support the map maker if you don’t want to. That’s why they’re called “donations”…..and believe it or not, some of these guys making these maps don’t want to publicly release an unfinished, unoptimized, unpolished map. A lot of these better map makers are doing this for résumés as well as the love for the mode. Give them the credit they deserve, just because everyone isn’t a noob map maker releasing unfinished trash on the workshop shouldn’t take away from the ones that know what they’re doing and want to perfect their art and their creations. Some people will bitch and tear down other people over the smallest shit that they don’t even understand.

Patron early access is so fucking stupid. I never once considered profiting off of any of my Halo CE maps or Custom Zombies maps. For one Cod Zombies isn't mine no matter how many textures or models i buy or how much i rescript anything. Two custom mapping has always been a hobby and should be treated as such, a load of custom mappers have actually been employed by game development studios and 3d modeling companies.
Unless those map makers are scammers Plus certain maps should not be paid for, like for example the Waterpark map is literally just Treyarch's and Infinity Ward's assets being combined, and their "Tranzit Remake" scam is literally just Tranzit with SFX taken from games.
Some maps I get donating to; modders deserve SOMETHING for their work. But remaking maps that were already previously made by the company who owns everything you use all the way up to and including the mod tools application itself, I find it a little ridiculous to ask for any sort of payment. The creative process is hardly there because there was seldom any thought put into making something truly original.

Alexandria was a good map but i just didnt like how it wasnt finished with eastereggs. I tried doing the easteregg but without guides i wasnt sure if i was trying to do half unfinished eastereggs, so i didnt play it much. With so many options and maps i want to try and beat, i dont want to be wasting time. So i went for high rounds once, paped all the weapons, and uninstalled it. I also didnt like how certain weapons like daryls crossbow wasnt finished. Was really disappointed that the map was half baked becuz it could have been so good
The map isn't finished as the map maker had things come up in life. You can read about that stuff in the discussions in the map's Workshop page, titled "Message From The Creator"

They shouldn’t even make patreons for making or releasing maps… The assets are from Activision. Is like using the work of others and claiming is yours. Custom Maps should be made out of passion, not out of getting money.
Not trying to damage control here but I think it's fine if it's under $100. I mean look at Xela and Dobby, the max amount you need to pay for early access is $10. $20 is the highest but it's not horrid at all. Those imo are worthy of being labeled donation tiers. Like don't get me wrong, I do know where you're coming from. The one creator you, me, and everyone else should be mad at is Dannyyy for pricing early access at $600+ with no updates whatsoever. Charging console prices for a map remaster too, by the way. Like at that point you might as well fire up a Kickstarter to remaster TranZit faster than JohnnyJ25 could remaster Die Rise.

the assets are from activision?? You realise that for Die Rise Remastered, one of the makers of that map went through and re-made weapon models for all of the BO2 weapons FROM SCRATCH? He then also allowed other map-makers to use his re-made weapons. Nothing wrong with giving people an OPTIONAL way to pay the devs.

You can activate 2 mods, specifically player model mods and mods that add more options to change zombies like the chaos mod or 8 player mods

"no patron early access maps" Isn't Waterpark an Early Access map that has only been leaked due to annoyed patrons who have been paying for several months for nothing?
@@thekingofcookies4877 no it was officially released by the map creator after the leak so it's classed as publicly available. But now the tranzit remaster controversy has had the map taken down after the video was published

danny or the map maker removed it and the green run productions channel ran by danny making tranzit remastered and aether version of it was closed after all the controversy surrounding him, even his twitter is gone.

@@MrFaleh1129 there is one version of water park on steam but people say it has a virus on it so i wouldn't touch that for safety, but no idea on his other maps, safe to say they're also gone along with the map maker, unless someone has versions of the map on their hard drive to reupload it, we'll just have to wait.

@@MrFaleh1129 ye probably best just to wait for people to reupload the map if they even have it in their hard drive or ssd but it's not the end of the world if we lose these maps other map makers are remaking tranzit too but for water park and danny's other maps better to lose a few brilliant maps rather then get scammed.

They shouldn’t even make patreons for making or releasing maps… The assets are from Activision. Is like using the work of others and claiming is yours. Custom Maps should be made out of passion, not out of getting money.
Not trying to damage control here but I think it's fine if it's under $100. I mean look at Xela and Dobby, the max amount you need to pay for early access is $10. $20 is the highest but it's not horrid at all. Those imo are worthy of being labeled donation tiers.

The one creator you, me, and everyone else should be mad at is Dannyyy for pricing early access at $600+ with no updates whatsoever. Charging console prices for a map remaster too, by the way. Like at that point you might as well fire up a Kickstarter to remaster TranZit faster than JohnnyJ25 could remaster Die Rise.
@@Cris-nx7tx Yeah, i agree. Although i still think that monetization should be done through other ways. Like… idk… skins that are made by yourself or in game currency, but not the assets by itself.
the assets are from activision?? You realise that for Die Rise Remastered, one of the makers of that map went through and re-made weapon models for all of the BO2 weapons FROM SCRATCH? He then also allowed other map-makers to use his re-made weapons. Nothing wrong with giving people an OPTIONAL way to pay the devs.
Many of them aren't just using Activisions assets and even then it's still an incredible amount of work to make create a quality custom map
