    Did you end up keeping your other halogen lights (fog lights, high beams) or did you switch it all to LED? I’m debating whether it’s worth going down the rabbit hole of switching everything or just the low beam and running light for my 2013 accord

    • @TheAuto101

      I've only ended up switching what's shown in the video. But maybe something to consider going forward!

    So, in essence, the bulb lights up the empty column that lights up and you have to physically put the new LED lights into that column and literally fill the gap?

    • @TheAuto101
      @TheAuto101  3 роки тому

      Yeah exactly, you shove in the LED strip into the gap/column

    they dont have bulbs that fit in the spot that are bright enough to light up the whole strip?

    do you need to unplug the battery or just turn the car off and get them out?

    hey I got the same brand of Led bulb and tried to install but one works other doesn't work. Should i get lower watts or decoder?

    • @TheAuto101
      @TheAuto101  3 роки тому

      Hmm that's odd, it should be plug and play for this generation Accord. Maybe try getting a replacement?

      Same issue for me- one works but the other doesn't (2015 Accord EX-L V6)
      Update: just had to flip polarity

    Any idea why the lowbeam lights won’t twist and lock into place? Currently struggling

      Check the size of the 3 prongs or tabs. 2 large/1 smaller @8:00. Line those up in your bulb assembly and it should fit correctly. Also be careful when installing-if you damage the oring or the plastic bulb assembly you’ll have water coming into headlights

    My Guy, these are N O T 🚫 DRL strips
    Only the V6 Accords come with LED DRLs.
    These 4 cylinder models use the Highbeam at half power in the day for the drls, not these strips you installed
    They're your parking lights, so you have to drive with your headlights on to see them in the day. Your taillights will also be on the whole time.
    Also, you can install them through the wheel well without removing the tire, I made a video on it

    • @ruviwije
      @ruviwije 2 роки тому

      I was wondering about this because when my kid was driving behind me, all I could see a weak (virtually useless in Arizona sunshine) yellowish DRL that appears to be one of the bigger bulbs in the headlight assembly.
      @TheAuto101 - can you confirm that the strips are the parking light and not DRLs?
      It is possible that the Canadian Accord is different from the US version... and in 2015 yours had DRLs along the bottom.

    • @ruviwije
      @ruviwije 2 роки тому +1

      @Striker50 - Is there a LED option for the high-beam bulb that will function at 1/2 power as DRLs? Realistically I rarely use high-beam because this is not our road-trip car, so those high-beam lights only serve as DRLs.

    • @Striker50_
      @Striker50_ 2 роки тому +1

      @@ruviwije Yes, look on my channel, I replaced the Yellow High Beams with LED bulbs that operate at half power during the day

    • @Striker50_

      @@ruviwije The Canadian Sport Accord does have LED strips from factory, but these aren't it in the video, they're just aftermarket nonsense
