My aunt has a 2011 Escape Hybrid Limited with every option except the chrome 17" wheels, and I've always been disappointed with the quality. On the road it's loud, the seats are flat and uncomfortable, and the interior is cheap, hard, and rattly. Hers has just a bit less rust than this, but it's getting worse very quickly. Fun fact for you, where you mentioned the missing interior trim around the hatch, they actually come like that. Pretty bad on what was originally a $38,000 vehicle. Despite all this, I actually really love the way it drives. Surprisingly decent power, and a genuinely high fun to drive factor because you always feel like you're going faster than you are. The visibility is fantastic, and all windows are huge. Not to mention that the interior feels much larger than 2013+ Escapes, despite being smaller in every dimension. All in all it's a likeable little SUV with some glaring quality issues.
Mine's a 2012 Limited, not a speck of rust. It is not garage-kept. It runs like a champ, handles fantastic, and the leather seats are mint. My daily commute was 140 miles, and the seats were quite comfortable. .I live down three miles of dirt road, which turns into pig slop after rain and school buses. It is not 4WD but has never let me down. 24 mpg average. I see a lot of interest from Canadians, so I will add the heater can roast a chicken. If you can find one of these, I'd sure recommend it.
I love this generation escape. My Uncle has a 2012 XLT in the slate gray/teal kind of color and it’s really a nice SUV. It’s the 4 cylinder sadly but nonetheless it’s a nice car.
The A/C condenser condensation drips on the subframe and rusts it out, along with the rear quarter panels. Ford should have been held accountable for it. Besides that design flaw, they are solid SUVs.
@@nadeemkhalil327 Buy a patriot, better plastic quality and the engine never dies too, don't forget man, the sound system! it is mind-blowing and it is cheaper.
@@andresara4711 Are you insane? 😳 I'm trying to get rid of my Patriot asap. Trash vehicle. I've had it for three years and I've put what it's worth into it for repairs. I got it for 6,000, I've put 4,300 into it in repairs in three years. Run far away from the Patriot
