Lol this kind of work is way more intensive than it looks. Might as well chill at your constant job because these stores wont be closing forever. And once one store closes that's it. It's gone. Not coming back. Like the paycheck made.from it
Thanks for sharing, was always curious what happens during store closing and liquidation. Props to you, there's always money to be made wherever you are.
fyi just so every one knows, goodwill throws 80 to 85% of all donated items in a compactor dumpster. just think of other places to take it where you know it will or can be used by someone
GW also gets alot of trash donations. Even in nice areas, people too often donate nasty roached crap. I recently heard some angry lady griping like her 15 year old roached shoes are treasure when they werent enthused to take them and the rest of her trash. They gave in just to get rid of her.
Great video! I lived/worked in the Appleton/Neenah area for about 2 years, and I would have to say that shopping in that area for resale (thrifts, store, Once Upon and Platos, garage/rummage/yard sales) was one of the best I have found in the US. Really miss the area - not only for resale stuff, but it is one of the most underestimated places to live in the US. Good people, great food (Machine shed - great stuff!; Milwaukee Burger - crazy huge burger challenge), best supermarket in the country (Woodmans) - and being back home for now - really miss Culvers/Toms! Good luck hunting out there!
Weird that Once Upon a Child closed. Maple Grove, MN store was packed the other day and I bought a lot of needed items. Not a lot of clothes being purchased, but it's the go-to spot for shoes, toys and items like booster seats, strollers, etc. Your joke definitely fits sending your son to NDSU. Go Bison!
Been watching you since you went viral, Rabbit, and as someone who works in labour, you've got my utmost respect for the amount of work and effort you put into your job. Keep it up, these videos are something I look forward to seeing!
Doin' Good - Johnson Creek, eh... brought back loads of memories - I was raised about 15 miles from there - Looking forward to more vids re close-out purchases - Thanks much for sharing - most informative...
For life? So by 2030 when there's literally no retail stores left and everything is purchased online and delivered by drones what's he gonna do? Just like every good entrepreneur they must change and adapt with the times.
Bison...(rolls eyes and groans). This was a very interesting look into what happens to stores when they close. I always wondered what happened to the stuff that was left over when a store closed. Thanks for showing this to us!
You certainly are a very motivated guy. Congrats! :) It was thoughtful of you to get those pants hangers and racks for that charity. Have an awesome day and I hope you sell all your stuff quickly and easily.
Awesome video new type of adventure! Hope you explain your resale pricing method to the other stores because it works. I'd ask to much & be stuck with totes & bags of merchandise to list.
I deal mostly in industrial /govt surplus, and it's funny that the number I always shoot for is ........ 3 cents on the dollar. It's hard (but not impossible) to lose money at that level, regardless what you're buying.
Rabbit I want to truly thank you for the video. I went into a gymboree outlet store that was closing today and bought 28000 worth of retail clothes for 97% off. All because I watched your video! Thank You!!

i went to a Dillard's store that had leftovers from other stores before they shut down. I still wear those clothes like 10 years later. HIgh quality flannels that will last forever. oh yeahhhhhhh
I like your show. You stay on topic - the bargain bunny hunt, what you get (like going thru unit manifest or thrift purchase list) and pricing. Thanks RR, keep your s h ow going strong.
I hate it when my favorite inside mall closed their doors even to mall walkers. Now it’s just a big pile of dirt supposedly they will be building an apartment complex. It was demolished in 2016 and still just a leveled off piled of dirt.
'I find it odd and annoying they close two stores on the same day' They dont make a lot of money selling at 98%, its kinda a last resort. They make a lot more at 90% and 95%. They will be hoping the people buying at those higher margins see the other dying shop and go there too.
I would have NO clue what to do with a clothing store...but back in the day I bought a majority of a couple of radio shack stores, including fixtures :-) Sad to see them go...but hell yes totes and carts...I bought them out by the pound, as much as I could fit in as many totes as I could slam in the van. The wife wasn't happy...ahahahaahahah....
How do you FIND Store Closings? I always hear about them too late, show up on their last day or two open, pick over all the picked items, get a handful of things at 80-90% off. Great prices, sure, but I have a Lot of fun doing it- and its not even for resale, its just fun and money saving. I just wish there was like a website or something that put up stores going through liquidation sales.
i do very little flipping but when i do i always make a decent profit from what i paid. i resisted for a long time and now wish i did it sooner. i also sell my paintings on ebay but there are better sites for that. saatchi art is one. ebay is good if u have a specific subject and can crank them out.
If I were you, I would clean that safe and paint it with some spray paint. 1.88 a can at Walmart and double your profit. Just got to tape of the chrome/silver. easy with tape and a razor blade.
Do you think people who buy safes care about that? That's a genuine question by the way, because I thought the same thing and then figured 'does it even matter?'.
You are the 3rd UA-camr I've seen lately that have been beaten by a viewer to a sale, while trying to get there. Maybe, transparency ISN'T always great.
It’s weird seeing the Fox River Mall in a UA-cam video. I go there several times a year since I live about an hour away. And to have someone I don’t know make a video about being there is weird
Our Mall has 0 Anchor stores - Well Dunhams Sporting goods I guess but they will be gone soon also and I will keep an eye out for that too happen. ;-) #happyselling

@@SusanBrooklyn I don't know. Around here the downtown does well. Also the big boxes like Walmart and such do well. I guess malls are out of favor. We have so many homeless here I think they should just turn it into cheap housing for people.

Then at 7:25 you say that you paid $118.00 "Bucks, for an entire store"! When you opened that dinky little trailer and was showing the few boxes... I almost busted a rib from laughing! Malls are depressing
The beginning of the end of this country. Being replaced with online china based retailers like amazon. This dude is a vulture of retail...

Well done for your charity donations. A really good video today. It's new for me to see you do store clear outs.
Nice of you to donate the clothing racks and hangers. It always makes me happy when people like yourself give of yourself.
Awesome haul! I bought out a k-mart when my local one closed and was 95% off. My favorite day of sourcing ever thus far
Can anyone go to these and buy, or is by lottery or an appointment. I live in Missouri where I think some businesses are closing this year here.
