I absolutely love this game's story. It's so bat shit insane but extremely well written. Edit: To clear up a bit of confusion, Karen failed to time travel because he copied Yuitos power from the super computer rather than doing it himself. He tried copying it himself when he surprised attacked them, but his brother Luka interrupted him. That's why his time travel failed and went to Yakumo for answers
That was pure gold haha. I gave up in chapter 10 - I know it's right towards the end but the game was hella confusing and I couldn't sit through the 7 million hours of talking between the main story and the bond episodes. Rad game but flip the talking burnt me out. Appreciate you diving me like another 6 hours
Thanks for making the entertaining cliff notes video on the game. Such a nutty story but awesome. I only have time to play the game sporadically so I always find myself lost in the story. Now I don’t have to stress anymore and just enjoy the game play when I have the time.

I started playing with Yuito, but from the middle to the end I started skipping all the dialogues and when I played with Kasane, I really skipped all the dialogues and that's why I really wanted to know the story of the game. thanks for the work
What bothers me is... Why did Karen replace and kill Yakumo? What does that have to do regarding Alice whatsoever? To sync up with Arahabaki for thousands of years? I can literally accept everything else, but I cannot make sense of THAT at all.

Ok so, don’t hate me, but I literally just stopped playing this game after 10 hours and decided to watch this video instead. I was very interested in the story (but honestly after finding out what the story was I’m glad I didn’t give 40+ hours to this game), but for me the biggest thing was the gameplay. The combat was alright, it was fun throwing shit around, but it didn’t feel like my combat choices mattered. Even in boss fights, I just pressed a companion and mashed square and it did huge damage, then change to another companion to do more… I think my problem is that I played Tales Of Arise before this. I loved Arise so much, literally one of my top 3 games ever. Combat, story, characters. I think in my head I was comparing Scarlet to that… but yeah, thanks for the video anyway, now I can move on to Ys:IX haha
Decided to play this game since its on gamepass. The game is so long and the story kept going in circles so I couldn't take it anymore and just watched this video to find out what happens at the end...lol. Still plan to finish the game before it leaves gamepass though.
I just did a 2 hour run of the game on my first ng+. There’s 12 chapters that take like 30 minutes each if you’re not rushing lol. just skip the cutscenes or spam through them if you want the jist. the story is mid af. combats fantastic tho

So they're called "others" because that could be synonymous with "aliens" in the context of the game's lore... Why not just have that name for them be untranslated in the english version (if "other" is "hoka no" or "betsu no" in romanized japanese, they could be called either "hokanoids" or "hokanites" or "betsunites" in the english version)..?

Why would they connect it with Code Vein and God Eater? For that matter, _how_ would they do it? Their backstories are completely incompatible.
I mean we already have a set party. Kyoka and Tsugumi are going to the moon too and Kagero says he'll catch up after he does his time

They contain the Other Particles that form the Extinction Belt. So when fired, they turn human beings into Others on contact
