    A lot of Samoans eat turkey tails. Since meat was scarce on the pacific islands during the 1950s, the poultry industry started importing their turkey tails to the Samoan Islands to provide them with a cheap source of protein, and started a Samoan family tradition. They have family gatherings to eat turkey tails and drink beer. Ironically, Samoans got so overweight and had an obesity problem that their government actually banned turkey tales for a period of time. Imo Yoko, Bam Bam, and Vader are the most agile big men of all time.

      Well let's say if yoko did drop weight, would still be considered Yokozuna? Because we know Yokozuna as this super heavyweight but if he lost weight, I don't think he would be seen as he once was. Could he have been obligated to stay big to maintain character? That's a good question, only one who can answer that is taker in a way but mainly Yokozuna himself and yes, he's one of those guys that should be in that phenom level like bam bam bigelow,, vader, and other agile and athletic big men, taker also being one of them.

    • @tormmac
      @tormmac 25 днів тому

      according to rikishi it was a personal problem, yoko was obsessed with food the only thing he looked forward to, he didnt want to go out, he didnt want to hunt for girls, he wanted to order 10 cheeseburgers and watch TV. it's actually pretty sad kishi talked about it on his lil podcast he does now and it was really heartbreaking the family wanted to help him but again it was a personal problem nothing you can do but watch. funny thing is people assuming it was the fed pressuring him was a big reason they cut him, imagine being blamed for making him too fat after they suspended him multiple times and other punishments because he wouldnt LOSE weight

    He shouldve tried to stay at 500 or maybe 450. Even though that's still an outrageous amount of weight, he made it work. It defied the laws of psychics 😂 but then he gained more weight & he ultimately got let go because of it. Yoko in his prime was fun

    The only time I ever saw Taker break character was after Yoko passed. Taker wore one of his t-shirts to the ring and made sure it was visible before stepping under the ropes.

    Wow, when I was a kid, I couldn't stand Yokozuna at all! I was all about Bret Hart, Hogan, and Luger! The Undertaker facing him at Survivor Series '93 was incredibly exciting-pure adrenaline rush! I was hyped for the upcoming title match. But then the outcome at the Royal Rumble... 😕 I was hoping Undertaker would get revenge for Bret, Hogan, and Lex! 🙌 When Bret won the title at WrestleMania, it felt like justice was served, and Undertaker's win at Survivor Series '94 was the perfect ending! Learning that Taker and Yoko were best friends gives me chills! 😮😢 Rest in peace, mighty Yoko!

    I remember watching the iconic 1994 Royal Rumble Casket match. It was one of the only times I remember getting ppv. Every other time we had to change to channel 99 and watch through static.
