Succinct, super clear and easy to understand, as always. Your channel is as relevant and of exceptionally high quality as ever. Really the best. Thanks for staying with it. Cheers.
great review. on the charger it says 1.5 amp and Wasserstein match because the camera probably won't take anything above 1.5amp. remember if the camera takes 1.5 amp 5v, and you supply 5v 4amp the camera well still charge at the rated power it requires which is 1.5 theoretically. Wasserstein is 3 amp divide by 2 if both charging port is active charging it 1.5 for each. So if i have only one camera actively charging it will still take 1.5 from that 3 amp. or maybe i am missing something i hope this helps
I am very satisfied with the Wasserstein PoE adapter - It serves my immediate need of getting power to a location where I only have an ethernet connection and not power supply. The research I did made it very clear that it was providing power only.
Netgear and Cisco both essentially define PoE as allowing you to transmit power over ethernet data wires. Cisco goes on to say "while PoE doesn't add ethernet data capabilities, it does offer expanded options for how and where ethernet end devices can be placed." To be fair, the MFG states that the cameras still need wifi. As far as the size of the adapter. It's comparable to the ubqituiti PoE to USB adapter.
Used to have nest and now ring, the only thing I miss is the 24/7 recording but I could get cheapy ones that record to a micro SD card if I cared that much, sticking with ring!!!
great video!!! thanks for the review. super helpful. i also saw Wasserstein solar panels for the camera and doorbell as well as a floodlight . Will you review these as well?
Regarding the anti-theft mount, it seems overcomplicated. There's a threaded hole in the bottom of the camera. You can just find a bolt that fits, get some braided wire with the connectors on either end (or make one), and you can attach it directly to the camera without that "collar". =)
Fantastic review of the accessories. I have a feeling this year we will see a lot of upgrades and new items. Thanks again for all of your hard work. Even a short video can take hours to edit so I truly appreciate your attention to detail. See you on the next one!
Question about Nest Cam (battery) for the outdoors, do you recommend a solar panel and plug adaptor that will work with the Wass. outdoors electrical plug to nest cam battery camera? I know the Wass solar panel unit is working (already ordered tested and talked with customer support, waiting for a 2nd device to try out) but wanted to see what other options i have. thank you!
(you mave already addressed Lorex question) Lorex has been discontinued by BestBuy, Home Depot and others, my concern is future support & software updates. Too, NDAA a factor in private CCTV?
Sounds like the camera doesn't work. I'm trying to decide if I should get wireless or wireless or solar. Wish you had a video on them. Keep up your great videos.
Great info, keep up the great work! Maybe a video of Wasserstein accessories for Ring products? I was interested in getting the Solar Panels for the Ring Cameras but there are a bunch of mixed reviews on UA-cam but would really appreciate your thoughts.
Wasserstein makes a 30-55 mount for Eufy door bell that is a complete piece of crap, when returned through amazon they claimed they never received it. Had to contact amazon for my refund, Wasserstein then sent me sad sob story emails claiming it was ruining their rating on amazon and continued to harass me to change my amazon review until I copied all their emails to amazon.

Yep, that's correct. As long as the voltage matches, the amperage can be equal or greater to what the device requires and it'll work fine. =)
bought the anti-theft mount right when i seen it was available. i love it. and bought the cable to keep it powered on. great accessories.

Try researching active PoE splitters anyways, this is a Nest Camera thing because they don’t offer a wired in data connection.
Thanks for the video. Helping people protect themselves

New drinking game: Take a sip every time he says "mount"! Cheers!
:)
😅😅😅
Great work your reviews are spot on! Saving me a lot of money and headaches.
Even though I don't use Google nest security products I appreciate the information.
You are welcome.
Can you tell me what rental friendly door mount is compatible with the nest battery powered doorbell?
great video!!! thanks for the review. super helpful. i also saw Wasserstein solar panels for the camera and doorbell as well as a floodlight . Will you review these as well?
I’m not sure. We will see.

quality is surprisingly good
Awesome review!
Thanks

I just checked, My Best Buy still sells them online anyways.
Why not wire the nest cable directly to cat 5? Why the need of a converter? My cat 5 is already connected to poe switch
Thank you.
Sounds like the camera doesn't work.

Nest Cam and their new doorbell have their quirks.

Easy to install and great performance
UA-cam keeps deleting my comment, is there a way to contact you outside UA-cam?
None of these Wi-Fi cams allow you to change which Wi-Fi, you have to reset the entire device individual.
But you keep your cloud recordings and not get deleted.

Wow... That seems incredibly unprofessional of a company.
They need to up the quality of their products.

Wow, this doorbell and all the hardware are hideous!
Wow
hi lol
I feel sorry for people who are ignorant enough to buy this stuff as these doorbells are so easy to steal. Products only a Google Fanturd could love.
I am really glad you took the time to provide this comment!
Yeah, well, don't buy the Nest battery doorbell either. It's pure garbage.
Sounds like they’re really junk cameras I’ll stick with ring
what an ugly doorbell...
