My friend was painting with the Colorverse inks as we opened them, and something really interesting happened with this one. She was layering the ink to make the pupils of the eyes of an owl, and instead of getting darker as she layered it, it got _lighter_. That made for a really eerie effect, like spirit shining out of the eyes. So I think there may be more to discover with this one.

Our exact feeling! We had problems even getting past the name!😂 the color was so faded we thought of invisible ink. Will have to get a broad nib to test because the fine and mediums could not cut it. Yesterday’s thought was fantastic and I hope they make that one widely available.
The lightness of White Hole reminds me of Colorverse's Butterfly Nebula, a glistening ink, that's like a really light purple. I've read it described as periwinkle. Butterfly Nebula is also too light for me as a writing ink but I've been experimenting with mixes.
I seriously love this one. It reminds me of one of my favorite Daniel Smith Watercolors - Lapis Lazuli. This is one I’d love to have for drawing and doodling. I might have to reach out to people who have bought the calendar and are only writers and not artists that want to sell off this color. It’s lovely.
Thank you for sharing the inkvent calanders. I am seeing I'm better off spending the $ on samples from Pen Chalet. I can get exactly what I want with probably more ink in the samples. The bottles are cute, but 😬 I appreciate your extensive swatches so I know what they look like before I order. 😊
does the writing sample show up more on camera than in person? im trying to gauge whether my tolerance for light inks is much higher than most people or if cameras are making it darker from something to do with white balance ..? this is definitely a wild one, its great seeing the comparisons ^^
It is very light for me. I feel the camera did a decent job showing how light it is. I think on other papers the shading may go down a bit darker which might make it more legible.
I haven't tried it on black paper, but since the ink is made with dye I don't think it would show up. If it were pigmented like DeAtramentis Document White I think it would be really fun for black paper!

I've been coming across more and more of these very light shading inks and they are just too light for me to be usable. The only thing I can think of that White Hole might be good for is painting/watercolor, if you need a really light wash in that tone or something.

Mildliners are my favorite markers, too. Buildable is a fun property.

I don't think it would show up, it is made with dye so the ink would sink into the page.

Definitely an art ink. But glad to see Colorverse experimenting! I feel like that's what these advent calendars are for, for the ink maker and for us.
I don’t feel they should be experimenting at $180 but that’s just my opinion

Okay, in the video it seems more baby blue but I'd be interested to see if it was like the two I mentioned.
I sadly don't have those two to compare. It is a really REALLY light ink. I think it is like an ultra washed out version of Celadon Cat.
