Wow! Great playing and demo. Appreciate your thoughts on this keyboard... I'm going to buy one, now I just need your talent. :) Also like the demo of Pianoteq.

I agree completely. If you want to avoid the heavier weight and the higher cost of a hammer-action keyboard, I think the M-Audio Keystation 61 MK3 is terrific. Another great option you might consider is the Casio CT-S1. It has some built-in sounds that are quite good (perhaps not equal to Pianoteq). It also has built-in speakers and you can run an audio cable from your iPad headphone jack to the "aux input" on the Casio (decent sound quality for practicing, but not loud enough for performance). I think the key action is equal to or slightly better than the M-Audio and you can select 3 different velocity curves. The Casio lacks a pitch bend and mod wheel.
Casio just announced a 73-key version of the CT-S1 and the extra keys would be very helpful for may keyboard players.

Picked up one about a week back because of qualities highlighted in this review.
I already have a more substantial portable digital piano with a progressive hammer action.
This little key controller fits in different locations, yet isn't totally foreign when I switch.
One downside I've noted on my copy, and which I've seen reported by other reviewers: The MIDI velocity/touch response isn't super consistent between the keys.
So you might have problems with playing that relies on nuance.
Still it's super inexpensive and light weight and has a decent key feel and response.
You can play it not only on a stand with a sustain pedal, but also play it semi comfortably with it just propped on a lap, or bed, or desk/table! Although those aren't ideal positions, it expands when and where you can play.

Hey there thanks for such an insightful comment, glad I helped you make a purchase. MIDI response is a little off but for the price great bit of kit 👍

Do you use a sustain pedal for this thing or would you recommend it if you want to play piano songs? I am a beginner.

Hey there, I would say the sustain pedal is essential even if you are a beginner. I think you will have lots of fun with it
