- Dark Souls is a franchise that needs no introduction, with its iconic characters, rich lore and its moniker for being some of the hardest games on the market. While difficulty in the Soulsborne series is optional, it's no surprise that this industry juggernaut is still going strong today, especially with the immense success of its latest title, Elden Ring.
As a result, it's no surprise that such a series would end up being a talking point for potential Smash Bros newcomers, especially since the series' owners are the same ones who made the past two Smash titles. However, compared to other franchises, this is one that sadly doesn't seem to get the recognition it deserves, but perhaps thanks to Elden Ring's immaculate reception, it's one that could pick up steam in the future...and what better way to kindle said embers than by talking about a character from said franchise here today? Arise now, or be forever maidenless, for today we're talking about the Tarnished from Elden Ring!

Pretty great moveset for my most wanted character (alongside Master Chief) My own idea for the Tarnished's moveset used the Elden Beast for the final smash but the radhan festival is so much better

The "Whatever the fuck this is" at the beginning felt so out of pocket but was funny. As someone whose never played Elden Ring, the moveset feels really fitting for a Soulsbourne character and was well rounded.

Great video! Only small criticism I have is that for the secret fp taunt, it’s pretty much only designed for people who strictly only play with 3 stocks. Whereas some people play with 2, and I know some who play with up to 9. I feel like he would be unjustly nerfed (or buffed) if you happen to play with different rules. Other than that this was great! ^-^

the side special should make you mount torrent, and pressing A should allow you to do an attack and holding B charges a strong attack, pressing side B again allows you to dismount
and up special should summon torrent and a spirit spring appears which allows to jump super high
The concept of Torrent was far too messy to fit into the moveset's structure, as gaining random mounted combat would've thrown the entire flow of their kit off, especially if there were two special moves built around it. Also the words you're looking for are "could be" not "should", as could be is a suggestion and should is demanding.
@@FeliciaFan_ sure the side special thing could throw you off, but there are several things that I think could be done.
either up special could place a spirit spring that last for some time and pressing up special again summons torrent and automatically jumps up the spirit spring. or it could be done so pressing up special once will automatically summon a spirit spring and summon torrent and jumps up (the spirit spring will disappear right after) and it will act similarly to joker's up special when his persona is active, no hitbox but massive air time.
another thing that I think would be cool but would be hard to implement is to make the first jump just be the normal jump from elden ring and then the double jump would momentarily summon torrent to do a second jump and then he instantly disappears. but it would look weird if you do an attack right after double jumping, but I don't think it's too different from kazuya's double jump mechanic.
