- Phoenix Wright is a character that has been a part of the speculation cycle since the days of Brawl, a character whose franchise has seen itself fully lived out on Nintendo consoles while also being given the opportunity to become a fighting game character in Capcom's beloved vs. Series. Now, in honor of his franchise's 20th Anniversary, the Ace Attorney himself is prepared to take his opponent to court and defend his client in Super Smash Bros? His client? You. His case? Winning a battle using evidence, observation and yelling very loudly. OBJECTION!

If Smash Bros 6 happens, (which it probably will), this lad needs to get in. He's been one of my most wanted characters for ages.
Honestly I'm betting they're just gonna port Ultimate to the next nintendo console, and then release more new characters on that version alone to entice people to buy it instead of just playing on the switch.
I would switch the neutral special and down special, but only because it’d be funny to hear Kirby say “Objection!”
This is one of your best movesets yet. Focusing on the courtroom aspect of Ace Attorney was a great way to condense and simplify Phoenix's abilities, while preserving much of Ace Attorney's identity. The incorporation of Ace Attorney's spotlight symbol was a very unexpected but very nice touch, and his grab and throws were brilliant too. The small animations added a lot more visual flare to the video as well. Keep it up.
I would add Apollo and Athena to Phoenix's Final Smash.
Fun stuff, and I appreciate drawing inspiration from the existing moveset from MvC3! When a friend and I were speculating about Phoenix for Smash, we also figured his Final Smash would be drawing the opponent into the courtroom and proving their guilt, but with a customized criminal charge depending on who he'd managed to target; 'Reckless Speeding' for Sonic, 'Grand Theft Auto' for Captain Falcon, 'Kidnapping' for Bowser, 'Tax Fraud' for Wario, etc.
While I can understand your reasoning for what you chose for Phoenix's neutral and down special, Kirby not being able to say "Objection!" feels like a pretty big missed opportunity. And giving Kirby a neutral special where he does a bunch of different attacks feels like if Kirby got Hero's Command Selection, which sounds like a nightmare to program.
I'd personally switch the neutral and down special. We even have a prototype character who has a neutral special counter and a down special for busting out random items in Peach, so you wouldn't necessarily need to change up the moves a whole lot.
I will say that I love how you give each object their own property. While I personally on Team Ladder / Step-Ladder Up Special, the way you worked Trucy in is something I haven't seen other people consider, though that begs the question if she gets alternate costumes alongside Phoenix and Maya.
This is a really good fan moveset! I'm really sad that Phoenix won't be in ultimate since he's the only character I wanted.
Happy 20th anniversary to Phoenix Wright series! If a new smash happens I would love to see him in there!
(Yes I made 2 comments on the same video) I feel that his victory message should be "Not Guilty" instead of "Guilty." He's a defense attorney, not a prosecutor. You could say that he's defending your case on a literal battlefield instead of a legal one.
Bro why does that Phoenix Wright actually look like how he would look in Smash.
If Phoenix is in, there should be a character conversation with Maya Fey for most of them, Miles Edgeworth for Boss like character and Captain Falcon. Miles Edgeworth might be the Echo character if there were to be an echo
I can totally see Maya asking Nick to catch Pikachu with Phoenix saying he is a lawyer not a Pokemon trainer.

I can assure you that I have no plans to stop making movesets for the foreseeable future.

I feel like the colors should be instead different characters similar to Bowser Jr.
1: Phoenix Wright Trilogy Colors and Maya Fey Trilogy Colors.
2: Miles Edgeworth and either Dick Gumshoe or Kay Fararday (due to investigations 1 and investigations 2: prosecutors path)
3: Godot and Mia Fey (due to them knowing each other since Turnabout Beginnings)
4: Manfred Von Karma and Franziska Von Karma. (due to them being apart of the same family)
5: Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies Colors and Maya Fey Dual Destinies colors.
6: Apollo Justice and Trucy Wright. (due to Trucy Wright commonly helping Apollo Justice like how Maya fey helps Phoenix)
7: Athena Cykes and Simon Blackquill. (due to their connection in the UR-1 Incident)
8: Hobo Nick and Kristoph Gavin. (due to Turnabout Trump)
I feel like these would be better then essentially copying UMvC3's Phoenix Styles.
For the side and up tilt I feel that they can be the same move but tilted, I'd prefer his up tilt be him doing a fist in hand while a light bulb appears acting like a juggling tool like Mario's up tilt

I kinda wanna see this guy do a Smash video for Albert Wesker,Nemesis,or even Pyramid Head because smash never really put in any Horror characters and it just sounds cool….to me at least.

I don't really do Stages and Music, that's something that's usually so freeform and separated from the design of the character itself that it's inconsequential. There probably will be a video in the future that details stages, spirits and classic mode routes, though.

For once, something was outdated that would prove good for Nick. Well, at least better than an outdated autopsy report.
I honestly hate the number 9 a lot, it's such a unsatisfactory number, anything that comes after nine is something bigger and higher which could be achieved but no, you decided to settle for less. It's a bit of a pet peeve for me

I also struggled with it in math also, cuz their were dots that helped with learning addition, like 2 and 5 but 9 was too confusing for me, also its design is lame, looks to much like a p, btw I didn't mean this towards you but to the character roster
