Wonder Woman plays a very big part in Superman's fall from grace. She enabled his violent tendencies and used Lois' absence to try and take her place. A place that she is *very* possessive of. The comics actually show that Batman tries to talk Clark down a few times, and every time Wonder Woman cuts them off and stokes Clarks anger against Bruce. At the same time, if anyone else, and I mean *anyone* else tries to influence Clark, she becomes downright murderous. The whole scene with Scarecrow shows that on some level, she knows exactly what she did and that it was wrong, but she keeps justifying her actions to herself because she doesn't want to believe that she's in the wrong. Hell, she was actually stripped of the title of Wonder Woman in between Injustice 1 and 2 by her mother and imprisoned. That's why she was in Kandaq with Adam at the beginning, a lot of the amazons consider her a traitor. She's in hiding, not only from Batman, but from her own people.
She went from Wonder Woman to Modern Woman real quick
No Accountability Woman strikes again.
If you didn't know in the Injustice timeline, and further expanded in the Injustice comics, Wonder Woman was more or less the one to inspire Superman's quest for enforcing so-called peace on Earth after Lois' murder and further fuelled his tyrannical rue as soon as the two became an item. Their relationship here honestly reminded me of how Lady Macbeth manipulated her husband Macbeth into becoming queen in Shakespeare's novel.
That and this Wonder Woman's relationship with Steve Trevor ended in a much worse way compared to other versions, which is why she believes that mans world needs to be controlled.
This universe' Steve Trevor tainted her. So blame him for turning her darker.
Also, everyone in this universe was a dick to Superman. Batman judged anyone who didn't align with him, no matter if they broke his rules, Conner wanted to banish Superman to the Phantom Zone before he did anything and he didn't ask anyone for input as well.
The Kents were a no show in the comics when it could have made a difference.
Aquaman was an ass, doing a one sided war on the surface world and ignoring everyone.
Dr. Fate changed fate for many, but not for Supes.
Constantine had his own agenda and used Bats, no consequences.
Batman was used by Ares, no consequences.
Hawkman betrayed Batman and was an ass.
Martian Man-hunter Just went for the kill on WW.
Even Alfred was an ass to him in year one. And that killed all of his sassy responses later on. All I could think off was "F you, boot licker."
Luthor, half of Superman's "ideas" were his mess from the beginning, starting with the pills.
Sinestro, Black Adam and others manipulated Superman as soon as they could.
And WW, yeah, we already said that part.
@@Connor-ONeill Interesting. Im more of a fan of when Wonder Woman is portrayed to be truly good, humble, compassionate and believes in the potential of man's world. This take on her character isn't my favourite but I will admit is kinda interesting

I'm so hyped for MK1, Sombra... Never been this hyped for an MK game, and I've been fully with the franchise since dumping countless quarters into the original arcade cabinets... UMK3 was legendary for me, and forever holds a place among the GOAT's.
I'm gonna be on the Closed Beta this weekend like white on effin' rice, foaming at the mouth.
I'm just a little sad, though, because they didn't show Scorpion or Smoke as playable this weekend... They're my #1 and #2, respectively, although Smoke takes priority due to his previous absences.
Still, it's gonna be awesome... I guess I'll just main FG Liu Kang for now.
Once I get my hands on Smoke, though... It's over, and many shall fall.

21:44 Wonder Woman did influence Superman quite a lot. She’s the most different character from DC besides Lex Luthor. Steve Trevor in this universe was a Nazi spy and she murdered him herself. She has no love for humanity whatsoever and pushed Superman further down the edge
I do call slight BS because during (i believe)year 3, wonder woman is in a comma and that is when superman does some of his most messed up stuff including murdering a literal planet and wearing a yellow ring. It was after she exited the comma she talked him out of using sinestro's ring. I'm not saying she doesnt play a part, but people often over hype that role.

The biggest difference in this universe isn't Superman, it's Wonder Woman. Scarecrow's right, she absolutely manipulated him down this path, something no other version of her would do. Metropolis being destroyed and Superman killing the Joker were bad, but it escalated into a Justice League Civil War because of Wonder Woman.
Exactly. He would go down in spiral after what he did to Joker, yes. But him going down into tyranny is Diana's fault.
Well, to cut her some smallest slack, Injustice Diana met Steve Trevor, who was actually Nazi spy, so her first experience with Man's world wasn't trust or love, but deception and manipulation.
I can never get tired of hearing the voice of Sacrecrow (Robert Englund, Freddy Krugger himself). And his cutscene with WW is one of my favorites in the game.

In the Wonder Woman & "Superman" scene in the bar there is some green mist that forms around her just before the scene switches to show "Superman" come in. It was a faint hint, but it's gone so fast it's hard to catch. Especially since the other Scarecrow stuff happens so much earlier in the game, so you kind of forget about it.
So big thing about Snart or Captain Cold. While Flash mentioned he had a no civilians get hurt policy they don't mention that he and his group "The Rogues" are actually some of the more standup or maybe even honorable types of villains. Like for instance they have no killing policy unless absolutely necessary, i.e needed self defense from a worse villain intending to harm or kill them or kill their friends/family, so they don't kill guards or cops or anyone not trying to murder them. They have even defended heroes and cops from actual serious threats at times.
So when Snart/Cold is upset Diana killed his sister it is with the understanding that they were just thieves(Think more Oceans Eleven bank robbers with powers and tech not robbing random people) not psychopaths or murderers like the Joker.
Snart's gun also is made to subdue The Flash in particular. It generates a field the slows Flash's molecules, which in turn slows his powers, and the cold it produces is absolute zero. Far surpassing Mr.Freeze's as it completely removes any thermal energy.
I think there’s also a story where a villain kills a speedster (not Flash but one of the many other ones) and Flash’s Rogue’s Gallery help stop the villain.
20:39 Yeah, they only started using Wonder Woman’s super speed in other media just recently. In the DCEU, and the Tomorrowverse animated movies, specifically. Her best action scenes are in Justice Society: World War II
Wonder Woman lowkey is a big reason why Superman turned out the way he did.

I do hope that superman endings is canon. Although batman ending is good, superman ending could mean more heroes from another universe to try and stop reign once again possibly.

Just a little Easter Egg: When Catwoman overrides Brother Eye's defense system, she uses a code: LK-4D4.
LK-4D4 is Cyrax's "robot name" in Mortal Kombat. Sektor is LK-9T9, Smoke is LK-7T2 and Sub-Zero is LK-52O.
Man the one thing I hate about the person playing this game is they keep just picking the same character for the duo levels. Like every other playthrough people bounce between the two options but this person just picks his favorite every time.
The reaction is still great dont get me wrong! Just feels like they're missing out by watching this specific upload lol.

I was thinking the same thing but maybe the uploader wanted to make a separate video showing all the special moves and thought that showing too much here would take views away from that.

Of course, the answer is probably the most obvious reason, which is that they likely just prefer the play-style of the character they keep picking, which is why I also did the same sometimes.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of bigger, slower characters in fighting games, and I probably wouldn't have picked Cyborg at any point, either...
Still, this is for the viewers, which makes variety more important... If I were the one making this for others to see, I would definitely mix it up more than this. If it's just me, though, ain't no way I'm picking a brute over an agile.
Given a choice between characters like Geras and Smoke, you know which one I'm gonna pick.

You were asking why they didn't attack Braniac head on at this point. Batman wanted them to evacuate civilians and get them to safety before fighting Braniac. Wonder Woman is shown disagreeing with this and says that Batman's wrong and that delaying their offense is a mistake

The answer to whose stronger between superman and supergirl is: it depends on the writer. There’s so many different versions and in some supergirl is stronger and in some superman is.
Superman is stronger in most versions.

And she very much deserves it. If Joker was half the reason for him turning evil then Wonder Woman was the rest of it.
Wonder Woman is the true villain of injustice, Superman would have never gone insane with him doubting many times if he is doing the right thing.
Only for Diana to manipulate him and say that murder and oppression is good, and it felt as if Wonder Woman wanted Lois to die so she can have Superman all for herself. She lies and withholds the truth, and wanted Clark to kill and lose his morals. She has no loyalty to anyone only herself making her extremely selfish.
And in turn even though regime Superman is evil I can sympathize and understand why he is evil, Wonder Woman felt like a devil whispering in his ear.
Achara tends to defend super evil women lol. She was also saying that harley doesn't deserve to die when wonder woman said to kara "She deserves to die." Harley is just as psychotic as Joker was and did just as much evil, yet she somehow doesn't deserve to die.
So there has been Injustice comics like Injustice: Year Zero that showcases the hero's in their more classic inspired outfits before the event of the games and mainline comics. Then sometime after this the hero's changed into the Injustice designs (Same outfits worn by the characters in the first games Earth where Joker and Lois never died) and then later Superman's regime which provided new outfits for it's members including one for Superman. Not sure what the canon reason for why the hero's changed to be more armoured outfits but I'm assuming just large amounts of conflicts forced our hero's to be more armoured.
But yeah if you look up Injustice: Year Zero you'll see a bunch of covers and panels depicting our hero's in more classic designs.
Wonder Woman’s fear isn’t to be the rebound because she already knows she is her fear is that she’s the villain and not Superman as in the comics Superman’s spiral into a tyrannical ruler is largely caused by Batman condemning him over the killing of joker rather than comforting him and Wonder Woman fueling his rage and manipulating him into becoming what he did

Also Catwoman: Drags Harley through the dirt from her motorcycle, then drops the motorcycle on top of her.
You can see right after the fight with reverse flash, a cloud of green smoke surrounded Diana. That's when Scarecrow's fear gas got her

They might've been able to do a better job by showing instead of telling, but when Supergirl goes to speak with Superman, we find him discussing potential Brainiac weaknesses with Damian with the explanation that "Brute force will not work in this situation."

The scene where Clark pulls the sheet off the JL round table is my favorite scene in the game. You can tell that both Bruce and Clark remember their friendship, and that Bruce clearly hopes they could return to that again. And Clark’s reaction makes you wonder just how much of his soul remains.
34:06 brainiac is more of a threat than Thanos by far in a lot of ways. Thanos really needed the gauntlet to truly be deadly whereas brainiac has taken down the Justice League multiple times just off of using his own power. Including characters like Superman. So numbers really wouldn't matter. But also the other ships are attacking other places in the world all at the same time. It really is better to have like a plan in order to break into brainiacs defenses rather than just trying to brute Force It. Which if you remember earlier Superman said brute Force won't work

Superman being stuck with a Kryonite bullet is a cool idea, that's done well a few times. Most recently in the animated movie "Justice League Dark: Apokalise War"
8:24 I think "Gotham City Sirens" was a comic book run featuring Harley, Ivy and Catwoman together.
At 14:53 when she says “Authorization LK-4D4” I believe is a reference to MK9 cause that’s what Cyrax calls himself when he’s introduced in his robotic self
If you’re confused on who Grid is… it was an artificial intelligence and a villain in DC Comics. Its body was created from the cybernetic components of Victor Stone aka Cyborg. After the events of Trinity War, it gained sentience and separated from Cyborg, joining forces with the Crime Syndicate of America
Brauniac's ship is pretty much indestructible, the ship can fix itself too also the ship IS him, like his conscience is everywhere. However, supes & the others did break into it many times..
I forgot to comment this on the last video about the Aquaman design. NetherRealm studios do take influence from the movies to an extent but injustice 2 came out about six months before justice league 2017, so that pretty much explains why Aquaman kept his classic look for this game. But when a IJ3 does come out I wouldn’t be surprised if they change Aquamans look to somewhat resemble Jason Momoa.
Superman is more powerful than Supergirl more often than not.
The idea that Supergirl might be more powerful than Superman came when Supergirl first arrived on Earth. But the reason was simply that she was practically still a teenager with little control over her powers and didn't quite know how to hold back. On the otherhand, Superman grew up in a human world so he had to be careful of every single thing he touched and had to learn to subconsciously hold back a lot just so he didn't hurt anyone.
Superman later on even humbled Kara, stating that, and I quote, "I could catch you and I could stop you, anytime I wanted to."

Its crazy that from scene to scene this game goes from some of the best facial animation and graphics you've seen to PEAK uncanny valley.
I think it's all motion captured, so unless something's gone wrong during the rendering process it's by definition incapable of uncanny, as it's just someone's actual facial movements being recorded. Compare that to something like a Bethesda or BioWare game, where the character faces are not motion captured and have very strange facial expressions at times.
@@DovahFett I'm not sure why you needed to give me this unnecessary explanation. I'm not comparing it to other games and I don't care about the process. I'm looking at a screen and seeing faces that look, by definition, uncanny. That's all lol
@@DovahFett They do have a bit much going on (often growly). Unsure whether the faces where captured but if they were it doesn't mean a perfect 1:1 capture. CGI has always had problems when it comes to recreating human faces.
In the injustice universe, Wonder woman played the role of Palpatine. Over the years She manipulated Superman when he was emotionally vulnerable, to the point here he is only but a shell of the man he once was. Driven by anger and hate.

I do not know if you knew the reference but at 8:22, Selina states a callback when she, Harley and Ivy were a trio in the comics known as, "Gotham City Sirens".
They did hint at Scarecrow's influence. Right before 'Superman' shows up, you can see wisps of green fog on the bottom of the screen: Scarecrow's fear gas.
EDIT: In some continuities, Supergirl is stronger because female Kryptonians process solar radiation better than the men do.

It was subtle, but maybe ever since a fog of green appeared around Wonder Woman.
Fun fact since you were wondering: Supergirl is actually physically stronger than Superman because her pod was bathing in the sun for all those year while Superman was in Kansas. In terms of who would win a fight? Idk, Superman does have more experience
8:30 10:12 I understand where Cyborg and others were coming from about Harley, she DID help Joker do what he did in the first place and she just remains unpunished. Also the player really should've chosen Cyborg for Bane and Grid especially.
14:45 Injustice Diana was definitely starting to think about betraying Batman once again here. 21:00 This was when Scarecrow was starting to take her on a guilt trip about herself and she really DID corrupt Injustice Superman some, but she wouldn't admit it of course. 25:10 Also this was when Supergirl was finally starting to find out the TRUTH about everything and about what her cousin has done. Black Adam and Diana have been lying to her ever since he first found her.
30:12 to 30:20 Black Adam lie to Supergirl in the comics before the game. That's why he's afraid of the truth.

You know who is immune to fear chemicals, Matt Murdock aka Daredevil because how is gonna get afraid when he is cannot see what you want him to fear.

Wonder Woman is actually the main villain of Injustice
The power levels do differ depending on the continuity there have been some where Kara is refered to as having more potential power than superman but I'd say 90% of the time he'd win due to being more experienced and more powerful as she's still not grown into that potential. Now powergirl is a bit iffier as she's meant to be a grown up clone of Kara so in those continuity's she should have that potential strength available.

I love the irony of that question: she's asking a "Brotha" with a robotic eye, if he's ready to meet Brother-Eye
He's going back to Kahndaq because brainiac placed his mini ships over every major city around the world to be extracted. And Kahndaq is one of them.
There was a green mist around Wonder Woman before Clark went up to her in the bar, you guys just missed it lol.
In one of the animated movies its said supergirl is stronger because her cells absorb sunlight more efficiently than Superman , don't know about the comics
Supergirl processes the light from the yellow sun more efficiently, which makes her more powerful pound for pound, but Superman has more actual "pounds", ie actual muscles. And while their physical strength isn't really related to their muscles, it's still _affected_ by them. (Unless you subscribe to the relatively recent "explanation" that all of their strength is actually telekinetic-based.)
So, for example, Superman wins in physical strength, while Supergirl wins with heat vision.
I always saw the Kingdom Come Superman as the classic real Superman from the Comics that grew up with loving mother and Father Johnathan and Martha Kent and the Injustice Superman is the Zack Snyder Superman that grew up in a world where killings ok and Johnathan Kent thought letting people die is ok. Kingdom Come is the Greatest Superman still, He went through what Injustice Superman went through but kept his Humanity his Morals. Remained who he was. Didn't turn into a Whiney Teenage pre-pudicent child.

Kind of odd to me you would expect Brainiac's ship to be vulnerable to smashing. Brainiac is a tech villain, all of his power comes from tech, if his ship is weak everything he brings to the table is weak. Captain marvel kind of breaks the power scaling in the MCU which is why her part was so small. Power creep is the kryptonite of every comic, anime or manga.
Not that I expected that. Just wanted to see that explored. Which ultimately they did.
I can never seen this animated version of Catwoman without thinking that she looks a lot like a young Marlo Thomas from her "That Girl" TV days, though a much shorter hairstyle.

In some versions, Supergirl is able to absorb more energy from a yellow sun, thus she is more powerful; although, Superman does have more experience and has fought stronger opponents before.
31:54 That question is answered in the Superman/Batman comic Apokolips arc(not animated movie, too much is changed). Supergirl gets semi-brainwashed by Darkseid after arriving on Earth and is used to hurt Superman and she beats him up pretty bad(unlike Clark she hasn't learned to hold back) until he stops holding back as much as he did and knocks her out. He later reveals just how much stronger than her he is by taking on Darkseid one on one and essentially "killing" him(he drags him to the end of existence and throws him into the source wall where all gods go once they "die").
On a sidenote Batman reveals why he would've made such a better villain in Injustice than Superman(and the overplayed Supes bad elsewhere story) because of how he threatens Darkseid and gets Kara freed from his domination.

Apparently Supergirl absorbs sunlight more efficiently but because Superman is older and absorbed more overall he’s generally a tier above her.
Green Kryptonite doesn't just weaken Kryptonians. It's toxic to them, in one issue Superman actually commits suicide by swallowing a Kryptonite bullet. So leaving it in his body will kill him. But there are other ways to weaken a Kryptonian and a lot of them have been explored in the comics and some of the cartoons even.
If you think Superman isn't interesting because he's super strong and whatnot, you don't understand Superman at all
Superman's struggles don't come from physical battles (most of the time), it comes from the fact that he can't save everyone.
The DCEU was a horrible depiction of Superman because Snyder didn't understand or respect the character and now a generation of people don't either smh
You guys need to watch more Superman cartoons and TV shows because they ALL depict Superman far better than the DCEU ever has.

Yeah, who ever is doing this play through sucks at showing the characters off. Did Green Arrow the whole time without Black Canary, not Catwoman over Cyborg with the fight against the Cyborg clone? They're making really uninteresting choices. I still think there could also be some form of choreography for the fights to show both sides off without repeating everything across all the fights. If I get MK1, I might see what I can do about that.
Whoever is choosing the characters in this game, I feel like they need to be fair and pick different ones. Not the same ones over and over, in my personal opinion.
Imma need y'all to watch all the supers each character has between Injustice 1 and 2.
The meeting they had at Batman's base was just hilarious Harley's remarks were just funny she always brings that likable adorable 🥰 playfulness to serious situations plus seeing superman in the S gear was really nice despite all he's done ✅👍 Plus I love Catwoman her fighting is dope it's so satisfying when you here her claws scratch your opponent to oblivion poison ivy looks cool too I love brother eye it's everything humanity needs and probably will ever need

Y'all are thinking too lightly of Bane and I blame the movies. Bane has his Venom Formula, sure but he's still very capable without it and very intelligent as while imprisoned, he spent that time to increase his intellect as well as his muscle. He's even taken over Gotham on occasion. On the account of Superman V Supergirl, it has been debated who's stronger and yes in the earlier years of DC Comics and even during The New 52 Era of Comics, Supergirl was depicted as more powerful because of her over exposure from the sun but in recent years up to now in of Dawn of DC, Clark has been buffed the up. Let's just say, Superman. Also, you guys missed the the slight green smoke before "Superman" showed up.

Also ship is very sturdy and well guarded as it has to survive light year travel between galaxies across space and survive in harshest environment and conditions.
