JD has unreal technical mastery. As if that wasn't amazing enough, he is a true innovator with how he is elevating electronic music style into a discipline and executing it within jazz. This is as legit as it gets. DOMi? There aren't words, or maybe ALL the words are needed...mastery, musical intuition, and a signature voice on the instrument. And what alchemy they make together!
Yeah, JD is a straight up drum machine. I fully expect someone to sample his playing and doing a VST, like EZdrummer "Drumkit from Hell" done on Thomas Haake playing (meshuggah). Best VST ever let me tell you
They, like The Consouls (who do brilliant VGM jazz covers) might have been inspired by such games - although these two are a little young for the PS1 ;)
Its comical to me how well established musicians are calling DOMi and JD Beck (the future). I disagree, they are THE NOW, best there is in the world coming from their generation.
They’re incredible musicians, they’re calling them the future because they’re inventing the ideas and styles that with become the future and influence the music of the next greats

As a drummer I've been inspired by JD but honestly after listening to hours of these two DOMI's composition and timing always impresses me the most
with all the synthetic drums out there it is so nice to see him do his thing. Truly inspiring. So refreshing.

Fusion Jazz has been around since late 60's. Beck sounds like drummers back then.
That is what they mean though , that the continuation of Jazz into the FUTURE depends on them. They are GENERATIONAL talent indeed.
