The truth is that Freddie and Elaine were a good friends, so he knew about that cover album and he was really excited about it. He loved the orchestra idea. All 10 songs are just fenomenal, felt in love with the album and Elaine of course. Beautiful and stunning!

Agree, she is multi-talented. This performance was 21 years ago when the great Elaine Paige was 43 years old. She is now 64 and still great!

This is totally outstanding, even for Elaine, who always impresses me (& that's an understatement). I was lucky to have seen her twice live -- in a NYC Opera production of "Sweeney Todd" and recently in "Follies" on Broadway. A magnificent performer born for musical theatre.

have thougjht Elaine Paige was capable of something like this - to add to
her well deserved laurels. Phenomenal performance by a great great artist.
This is clearly out of her comfort zone & its a masterpiece on an extremely
difficult song to pull off. Yes - EPIC!

Yes, I was in the audience that night and it was a great concert. This was from Birmingham Symphony Hall in the UK and I was 17 at the time! Wonderful memories.
