It's amazing how she can slip in and out of character. She truly is the first lady of musical theater. I wish she would not retire. I just lover watching all her clips. I need to order some more of her dvds so I can share with friends that appreciate real genuine talent.
One of her better renditions of I Dreamed A Dream; she can still reach top of the scale with shame,shame, shame which Elaine says is very hard to do in reference to Susan Boyle on BGT. Very nice.
I love her humor about the cramp she got when meeting the Queen Mother. Elaine is very funny in most of her interviews, until the Daily Mail snagged her and "reported" some negative comments about Susan Boyle which stopped the recording of the duet "I Know Him So Well" on one of Susan's albums.

Elaine is exquisite in everything she does. What a talent. Just love her. She is an inspiration for so many. And, she is just so cute!

Am I to assume then that she was approached to play Fantine originally?
I love Elaine Paige, but I don't like her voice in this concert.
