Colin’s bass always stood out but i had no clue how much counter rhythm and harmony stuff he was up to
Colin’s basslines isolated don’t even sound like Radiohead, they sound like Motown & Metallica
What Metallica song are you thinking of?
7:45 beautiful
i always amazed of 24:44 - 25:05 guitar part (which is actually Ed's part) and Thom's isolated vocal especially 34:24
that's been one of my favorite parts of the song & i never put it together that that's a guitar lmao
i just never thought about it at all, seems obvious now
@@ts4gv Ed does not exaggerating when he said he creates the "dimension" of the song so the listener can imagine the song atmosphere visually.
Paranoid Android wouldn't be the same without that specific guitar part in it chorus which makes me goes nut when I'm listening to the song for the first time, like i know something unusual will happen in this song (i didn't even know this song was prog at that time).
I love that little stutter fade in on Thom's vocals at 32:38, adds this really cool futuristic feel and tension to the track.
You credited Ed for Jonny's iconic lead parts at the end.
and jonny for eds incredible chorus part
Colin my love your basslines are the best thing on the planet
English much? lol
@@copbabycombo1311 What
This is amazing! Paranoid Android has been such a favorite of mine for years, partially because it just has so many things going on all working perfectly together, and now you're telling me I get see under the hood??? Thank you!!!
This was super helpful, thanks!
Thank you so much for this. I’m a beginner bass player foolishly attempting to try this song. I like cover solutions interpretation of this and granted he might’ve not had an isolated track to work with but hearing this i realized Colin’s playing is even more incredible than i thought
reading what you wrote. I hope that one day you will be a great bass player
Hell yeah! Im loving this
So crazy hearing this without vocals love it
thank you a lot for this
Love this one!
hell yeah!!
Your Rickenbacker can come handy in No Surprises, if you intend to cover non-Beatles stuff.
You’ve got Ed and Jonnys parts mixed up but thank you very much
I know
26:00 you even got the back vocals. nice!
@@DLD2Music around 26:09. i was kinda struggling to find out what note he was singing on those parts for an arrangement and it turns out to be a high G.
theres also some more at 29:35 which was in the white cassets as well.
Jonny and Ed’s parts are a bit mixed up but this is great, thanks
pretty awesome video! i wanted to add though that it seems like some of Jonny's and Ed's parts got mixed up, I'm pretty sure that last solo is Jonny's - still pretty cool vid!
I had problems with that
I believe that also Ed's chorus parts were credited to Jonny.
Fantastic! Do you think you could do something by the Lovin' Spoonful? Maybe "Summer in the City"? Thanks!
Up
Incredible, can you guys do more deconstructing videos of Gorillaz and Radiohead?
i will
how did you do this? I know there are tools for extracting instrument stems, but how did you seperate the different percussion and different guitars?
isolated with the stereo version
What a track
Can we get a separate deconstruction video on whats happening at 36:04 ?
It’s Thom screaming, probably just filtered and stuff.
Look up "someone help this guy radiohead", there is official isolated version of that
Please do more Radiohead, like Just, Karma Police, Pyramid Song, The National Anthem etc.
Dale
@@DLD2Music ?
@@Ms_Drake ok
@@DLD2Music Nice.
Jonny and Ed's parts are round the wrong way
you swapped ed's and jonny's guitars, except for the guitar solo which is played by jonny as shown in the video
possibly
I have had problems with these tracks and also some personal problems.
@@DLD2Music It's ok. Thanks for sharing your great work!
I think the string synth here is a Mellotron?
Arp solina
Nice job!
But I think guitar solo should be in Johnny Greewood's part.
yea i know
@@DLD2Music dont be a DOUCHE about it, ur mistake buddy
@@noswearingacc the idiot is you it seems to me, I already said that it was my mistake
@@DLD2Musicalso the chorus part that's credited to Jonny should be in Ed's section.
0:07
27:31
What is laptop?
0:51
@@DLD2Music is that the voice effects? Is it from a laptop?
@@theju3939 yes
awful sounding stems
Why?
@@DLD2Music the isolation is full of artifacts
@@MournfulWhispers I do not offer my multis to use in cover, i upload it for a better listening of the instruments
@@DLD2Music I never said that, they still sound awful
@@MournfulWhispers I guess you should keep your comments in your head, no one asked for your rude opinion
