      @@johngrant1337 Thanks for watching… if you’re into Mini-Z you should subscribe and select notifications. I’m in the process of building and recording several kits like a Reflex Racing RX28, several GL Racing kits including the new F1 kit, and an Atomic all wheel drive car. Videos should start being released in the next 2-4 weeks.

    Thanks for the information. I'm still learning. Classic Mini Z's are worth money now.

      Sorry, I stopped making videos for a while. Needed to deal with some family issues, personal issues, etc. I’m back making content again and will be doing some mini-z videos later this spring/summer.

    Where do you get the housing to add the light kits to these bodies?

    • @MyRCChannel-CJScott
      @MyRCChannel-CJScott  9 місяців тому +1

      Some of them come with the buckets for lights but you still have to add LEDs. If you’re planning to race, skip the lights. It adds a lot of weight you don’t need. If you just want it, go for it!

      @MyRCChannel-CJScott wasn't planning to race. Just got my first and ordered an r34 white body to go on it. Was wanting to add leds after paint. But couldn't seem to find light buckets for it.

      @MyRCChannel-CJScott that's where I bought the 2 white bodies from. But they have solid headlights. And unfortunately I couldn't find any light buckets. May just end up drilling a hole and adding a small piece of tubing to hold the led in there.

      @@sirracer2005 there’s another big mini-z shop… I’ve been trying to remember the name. When I figure it out, I’ll let you know. Sorry for not being more helpful.

    On the readysets. The new gen have about the same lag as the evo on noble NB4 I have. If youre gonna get the nb4 just get the evo, if not get readyset and some mods (BEARINGS NAO!)

    • @MyRCChannel-CJScott
      @MyRCChannel-CJScott  3 роки тому

      Yeah, I'm not seriously thinking about getting a readyset... but, I already have a couple of the buggies and would like to have the option to drive them with my NB4. Just wanted to let the audience know the option is out there. For those that already have a readyset, it makes the NB4 a good option for a high end radio.
      Check out my buggy videos when you get a minute... I set up a backyard track with bargain indoor/outdoor fake grass carpet. Loads of fun!

    What is the best glue to use on these white bodies?

    • @MyRCChannel-CJScott
      @MyRCChannel-CJScott  3 роки тому +1

      It depends on the part; how much glueing area... and to some degree it's a personal choice. You can use thin or thick CAs, good old Testors plastic glue, epoxy works too. If you're trying to save weight, epoxy is your last choice. I hope this helps.

    IMO the extra $25 for a completed one is a steal... trying to paint them is a lot of work and will never be anywhere near as nice as the factory ones.

    • @MyRCChannel-CJScott
      @MyRCChannel-CJScott  6 місяців тому

      Yes, but some people want a single color paint job that is as low weight as possible and stands out among all the other cars on the track. If you’re racing this can be a very important factor. During races, there’s a lot of car to car contact as well as hitting the rails and going off the course all together. The bodies take a lot of damage and people get angry when their fancy factory body gets torn up.
      You’re free to do as you wish. I make recommendations, no judgement.

    A little trick, if you paint black you'll lose your car on the black foam track. Add lights, even ground effects lights, and you'll track it better. All my racing bodies have all stock parts, head/taillights, and underglow. Also let's people know im braking. I do truck too, but Truck is a fun class so I 3d printed a truck body. Noone takes truck seriously, makes it more fun.

      Personally, I go for really bright colors, sometimes fluorescents to help me identify and orient my cars & buggies.
      I road "parkinglot" race with a club that has a 1/10 truck class... the only rules are that it be based on a 2wd or 4wd truck, rubber tires and 2S batt... I did a series of videos where I started with a Slash LCG roller and over the season went to an aluminum chassis with 1/8 scale Serpent GTR shocks, a 17mm hex conversion and 1/8 GT wheels and tires... by the time I was done, it looked more like a 1/8 scale road car.

    Lol, ive never understood why EVERYONE runs the R8 bodies in competitive play. I like the LM bodies. Theyre amazing.

      I agree! But, enough of the "old hands" have confirmed that it's got great aero properties. Who'd have thought it :-)
      Hey, you want to see a cool LM/LeMans body... this is a conversion kit for the GLRacing F1 chassis. It's even got an aero lexan under pan and adjustable wing: www.microrcsyndicate.com/product/glf-lemans-conversion-kit-set/394?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=9
      Now that a real P1 replica!
