What's up all. Just wanted to say that I've been seriously lagging on answering comments this past week (something I pride myself in doing). It's been a whirlwind of a week driving across country and back and fishing non stop. I can't thank you all enough for the nice comments, messages, texts and general support of my fishing obsession out of plastic boat. Ya'll rock. -GB
Greg I need your help!! I won a chance for a KBF lifetime Membership with Westbrook Supply Co in a custom tourneyx tournament.. If you can contact me at kingmazzas@yahoo.com I can explain more details if you havent seen the most recent #WestbrookWednesday video with Mike Elsea. It would be great if you could join the team!! Nick Mazza
Another Great Video of yours I've watched, keep them coming ! Caddo Lake has always been on my list of places I've wanted to fish.. thanks for all the videos you've made..
Your the best bass fishing UA-cam of all times idc what anyone else says just watching you makes my game so Much better thanks for all you do Greg would be an honor to slam some bass with you one day in beautiful south Florida
I live here in shreveport/bossier and definitely love fishing caddo but there are so many good lakes here im so thankfull as a bass fisherman to live here in sportsmans paridise..and only a couple hours away from those Clearwater mountain brownies in Arkansas and Oklahoma!! Caddo can be a tough one tho everything looks the same thousands and thousands of cypress trees got to find that right depth and just something a little different that's holding those fish but once you do it's nothing but pigs!!
Awesome!! Dude that’s so exciting!! We’re renting some kayaks and fishing caddo today for the first time. I’m not much of a fresh water fisherman!! Thanks for the video
I come back to this video often as I live by the lake and I can tell you. You can follow a bass boat and pick and choose trees they didnt throw to and piss them off lol
Just checking Greg. Another great video! I know our TX boys did pretty good at KBF this year. Can't wait for your tourney uploads. Keep up the good work!
Good LUCK on your Tournament, Greg. (Where you're fishing, looks like my "Back Yard Playgrounds", here in North/Central Arkansas!) I've had water snakes crawl in my boat while fishing in places like that, but never in a Kayak! (Whatcha gotta look out fer, is da ones on the overhangin' branches!). Haha! Give'em HELL, Greg...!
Nice video Greg and congratulations on your finish in the NC. A group of us from Massachusetts fished the NC and coincidently that is my Tacoma and trailer in the first few slides of your video. We were already on the water when you launched. 😀🎣
Greg Blanchard - unfortunately we were among those that found it to be tough. Glad someone was able to find the fish. Good time trying though. Am doing a Trail event at Lake George in May. I assume you fished it when you lived in NY. Any tips? Keep the videos coming. Always enjoyable to watch.
I met Mike and Juan at the boat ramp on day three! Cool guys! Congratulations and keep up the good work! Maybe get to meet up with y’all one day and fish!
Greg do you have a link to a video of your landing net modification, I have the g2 net and would like to add a longer handle, how did you go about this?
Cool! You’re only about two hours away from where I live on Sam Rayburn. I’ll be fishing a tournament on Caddo in September. I’ll be calling on you for some advice. 😛 Good luck in the tourney. I’m always rooting for you.
Hello from Ct. always great content hey what fishing gear ( clothing ) do you use ? Which fishing pants comfortable in yak and keep you dry and sun protection
Ah, thanks for the question! Just updated the links in the description. This week I was wearing NRS varial hoodie and the NRS Baja sun shirt. The thing I like the most about these shirts was the built in buff especially with the cloud of bugs I had hovering over me the entire time. You'll see in the next videos I literally cover my entire head up with the buff lol. As far as fishing pants I have yet to find a pair I am in love with. I usually just wear runners pants that are SPF rated
Congratulations on an awesome finish at the n.c !! Right after a win at the Hobie event!! You are Killin it!! Can't wait to see the tournament videos!! Love all your videos and I hope you keep having an amazing year!!
Subbed and looking forward to enjoying a new fishing channel! Are you from Texas by chance? I saw your KATS series on all the Texas lakes and was just wondering
Thanks Brett! Going to try and do one this summer. Just been tough lately between work and the tournament schedule. But yeah, I think a meetup would be cool!
Greg, I really enjoyed watching! Was the catfish snagged or did it eat the lure? Looking forward to following your travel fishing adventures! Kind Regards, Justin Blanchar!
VIBRATIONS TACKLE When I lived in LA locals would set lines from trees and docks, then come back in a couple days for some monster catfish for eating. That’s what that looked like with the yellow flag tied to the branch.
Trot lines....well 1 line....that’s how people be eating down there. That’s how we use to do growing up in SETX.....there would be protest in CA😂...watch yourself checking those things...you’re more likely to get shot at than bit by something😉...don’t ask me how I know
@@GregBlanchardFishing You aren't suppose to be checking other peoples trot lines/jug lines/diddy poles/etc. Taking the fish would be theft. Messing with them might be breaking the law as well even if you leave the fish/whatever. Technically they hare suppose to be labeled with the owners name and date or they are breaking the law, but in any case its just generally better to leave them alone.
Greg Blanchard Thank you for the quick response! I’m enjoying watching your journey! We are hosting a KBF qualifying tournament in June in Madison, WI (Madison Chain of Lakes) It’s ran by the Great Lakes Kayak Series! This will be the fourth year of hosting. We are really excited about it since its our home body of water! Any chance you’re fishing that tournament?
Agreed with Kyle oddly enough! It was almost hard for us to spot gators and they were little at that. As soon as they saw us they would take off. Seals are just about the opposite lol
Not my business, but cajuns (or anyone else, for that matter) do not like people messing with their limb-lines! That could have broken off and they would have been out their fish!
It’s fed by underground springs and the water is very dark. It can be scary sometimes, especially night fishing. Like Greg said, you have to keep an eye out for the critters, and Caddo has a lot of them.
Hey man you should kno it's not cool to mess with another man's fishing lines....you will actually get your boat shot out from underneath you....just some friendly advice
You are not suppose to tamper with someone else's trot line, jug line, diddy pole, limb line, etc. The next time you see this just leave it alone. There are laws that protect these. Your video might have just shown your partner breaking the law. All operators of those types of lines/traps/whatever have regulations on how they are suppose to be labeled and how long they can be left in the water before checked as well. It all varies on the state. Be careful out there.

Oh MAN those frog fish are AWESOME! Woooo!
Your the best bass fishing UA-cam of all times idc what anyone else says just watching you makes my game so Much better thanks for all you do Greg would be an honor to slam some bass with you one day in beautiful south Florida
Looks like a fun vacation...
Top water frogs are probably the most fun way to hookup you get to actually see the fish strike.
Nice practice day that's for sure awesome as always
Great video and congrats again on your awesome finish at the KBFNC.
You the man Chad! Get ahold of me when you come out to Cali
Keep it up! Knowing how you did in the tourney already means these next couple videos are going to be awesome!
I live here in shreveport/bossier and definitely love fishing caddo but there are so many good lakes here im so thankfull as a bass fisherman to live here in sportsmans paridise..and only a couple hours away from those Clearwater mountain brownies in Arkansas and Oklahoma!! Awesome job. Caddo is definitely a special place!
Great video Greg! You're just down the street from some family of mine. Hope you had a great time! That was one heck of a chunk!

I felt overwhelmed watching this vid. So many targets to cast to! 🤯
Matt Cascella it was definitely pick and choose the right target on any of those lakes lol
I come back to this video often as I live by the lake and I can tell you. You can follow a bass boat and pick and choose trees they didnt throw to and piss them off lol

One of the coolest topwater lakes to fish!
You should try lake sonoma awesome views and great bass fishing

Greg game plan found frog and pitching. Sweet
Good LUCK on your Tournament, Greg. (Where you're fishing, looks like my "Back Yard Playgrounds", here in North/Central Arkansas!)
I've had water snakes crawl in my boat while fishing in places like that, but never in a Kayak! (Whatcha gotta look out fer, is da ones on the overhangin' branches!). Haha!

Dang that looks like such a cool place to fish. Great vid Greg!
Nice video Greg and congratulations on your finish in the NC. A group of us from Massachusetts fished the NC and coincidently that is my Tacoma and trailer in the first few slides of your video. We were already on the water when you launched. 😀🎣
Thanks man! Nice! How'd you guys do? lots of folks coming back to that particular launch seemed like it was a tough area of the lake
Yeah the South, big bass crazy scenery 🍻

I met Mike and Juan at the boat ramp on day three! Cool guys! Congratulations and keep up the good work! Maybe get to meet up with y’all one day and fish!
THanks man, for sure!
Hey man congrats again! I knew I should’ve fished Caddo...but Bistineau had my fish lol
Hey caddo is great ..i live here in shreveport/bossier but bistineu is one of my favorite fisheries as well can't go wrong with either!
Fishing the KBF Trail this weekend Greg at Caddo would love to know where this launch location is at. Those trees look killer any help would be great.
Expired response. Google Earth is your friend. I think I found the boat launch. The submerged trees are so easy to spot for starters.
attaboy! Caddo never disappoints- sub from La
Gregg do you have any videos on your gopro set-up?
Awesome videos by the way the best on UA-cam!
Sick ass video loving the Frog Fish this series is Fire !!!!
When you were throwing the rage Menace were you throwing it weightless . And what hook did you use
Yep, rage menace and with 1/2 tungsten bullet weight pegged. 5/0 trokar flippin hook. a deadly combination...
Love your channel i live near you so i love that you fish alot of the same places i do
I’m not far from there. Your channel is growing fast!
It’s awesome to watch you figure it all out knowing how it ended up for you. Congrats bro.
Thanks man! I was going to show the entire week no matter what but I think it's extra special since I was fortunate and had a good finish!
Greg Blanchard we know you would. Showing the good and the bad is one of the things I like most.
some big tanks but far & few!
awesome frog bite you had going. Fishing any of the KBF NE trail?
Lake George in May!
there it's biting towater but here in cali it doesnt wow
Is that the dobyns colt series rods you are using at the beginning?
champion extreme if it's the rage menace rod. only dobyns i brought with me
Greg Blanchard what power of rod were using for your lures like 743,704,744 etc
Greg do you have a link to a video of your landing net modification, I have the g2 net and would like to add a longer handle, how did you go about this?
should be in the description
Man, I'm not sure about Kayaking in waters with Gators at least not without my Sig. Looks like a blast though. Good stuff

Sweet lake!
wish i would have know that you were so close.
Good luck G
I am going to caddo lake in a few days
Caddo is the perfect kayak lake. Deepest depth is probably abt 10 ft, but most of lake is five and under. Basically your Louisiana/East Texas swamp!
Right on. One of my favorite places I've ever fished!
Cool! You’re only about two hours away from where I live on Sam Rayburn. I’ll be fishing a tournament on Caddo in September. I’ll be calling on you for some advice. 😛 Good luck in the tourney. I’m always rooting for you.
Question ..will those same fish bite on tournament day ?? Craig. Pa. Guy
I Hope so! Big thing is finding an area on the lake where the big girls are

You fish in all the best locations

Been a crazy past month! Thank you!
Subbed and looking forward to enjoying a new fishing channel! Are you from Texas by chance? I saw your KATS series on all the Texas lakes and was just wondering
that's some Scooby Doo type fishery right there lol
Good luck Greg hope u win it! Don’t stick ur hands with that fish in the water knowing there’s gators there lol😅😅
Haha Thanks Johnny. I was definitely careful when getting in the water lol
Greg do you do any meet ups at the delta? Love to hit the delta with ya. Really enjoy your videos!! Keep them coming man
Thanks Brett! Going to try and do one this summer. Just been tough lately between work and the tournament schedule. But yeah, I think a meetup would be cool!
Goodluck on tourney day
Can u use a electric motor in these tourneys?
For KBF ones yep
Your videos rock!!!
Did you go say hello to Sookie?
Your buddy is making LFG proud by sniffing that bass...
haha
Great catch for the day!! HAPPY HUNTING GREG!!
Lol Mike "I want to touch it"
Why do u need a fish finder in 4ft water
Hell yah
Dude I just caught my first striper of the year!
Greg,
I really enjoyed watching! Was the catfish snagged or did it eat the lure? Looking forward to following your travel fishing adventures!
Kind Regards,
Justin Blanchar!
Thank you! It ate it but looked like it had been on there for a couple of days. Nice last name btw!
VIBRATIONS TACKLE When I lived in LA locals would set lines from trees and docks, then come back in a couple days for some monster catfish for eating. That’s what that looked like with the yellow flag tied to the branch.

Hi, Greg
I thought Caddo was in Texas?
Hi Kyle, it's in both TX and LA
You went from worrying about seals to gators, bet you miss the seals 🤣😂🤣
I'd take gators over seals. Seals are inquisitive and gators, I believe want to stay far from ya.. but who knows!
Agreed with Kyle oddly enough! It was almost hard for us to spot gators and they were little at that. As soon as they saw us they would take off. Seals are just about the opposite lol
OHHH you thought i forgot to remind you of your SLEEP huh?
I’m not sure how you cut your thumb but I cut my finger last night. Required 7 stitches. We will see how bad it effects my fishing.
Damn sorry man. As long as you missed tendons you should recover in a week or two and be back at it full swing
Thanks man
Watch out for crocs
It’s also illegal to mess with some one else’s trotline
Not my business, but cajuns (or anyone else, for that matter) do not like people messing with their limb-lines! That could have broken off and they would have been out their fish!
Very true. we realized that after the fact. we didn't touch anymore after that!
Greg Blanchard yeah, yoyos and trot lines are big down here 😂
It is against the law in that part of the country not to mention very hazardous to your health...
That water is almost black in color.
It’s fed by underground springs and the water is very dark. It can be scary sometimes, especially night fishing. Like Greg said, you have to keep an eye out for the critters, and Caddo has a lot of them.
There’s a Hmong joke in the name of lake.
Fishing The Swampthing's backyard? Lol... those bass has some biga** mouth tho.
Careful messin around with people bush lines. Some dont take too kindly too it
True true. we realized that after pulling it up. Didn't touch anymore during that trip
Let me touch it.... lol
lol
Did Greg get white-girl wasted 😂
Hey man you should kno it's not cool to mess with another man's fishing lines....you will actually get your boat shot out from underneath you....just some friendly advice
another great vid, keep making great content. also, I started a fishing channel, so any subs would be appreciated. tight lines!

Yep, we realized that after we pulled it up. Totally our fault for being naive to the matter.
