The Average White Band was also performing that night, and Brent Carter from AWB joined Tower Of Power on a song that he recorded with the band when he was their lead vocalist.

Was there that night, great show. Nice the two lead singer's hung out together after the concert enjoying watching another band at the consino, saw the funky doctor walking around watching people gambling and having fun.
What a great moment seeing Brent and Larry on stage together! Wish I could've been there that night!
brent carter was the best tower of power SINGER
Miloš Rais agreed!
lenny william was the best
The one they have every single year is the best...
Super ! Wit Two Lead Vocalist.
Very cool to see both Brent and Larry up on stage with the band. Special.
2 great lead vocalists in an outstanding band.
I was there. Great show. Can’t believe it’s 9 years ago.
Sal is such a monster. So reliable. Always kills it!
T.O.P had great singers throughout their career......not a bad one in the bunch
Brent is fitted with tower of power as vocalist, quality voice!
Tom Bowes was the original vocalist on this !

Oh yeah, Oakland!!!!
miles carter , brent was terrific , great stage prescence , but I will take the vocals of lenny Williams anyday , tom bowes was also so very good , this group over the years have been simply amazing !!!
This was Tom Bowes number originally in the early 90's.
I think Brent was the best Ballad singer of the TOP singers. Larry was the best overall.
Brent was the best ballad singer. Lenny was the best (come on!). Larry was awesome!
Mr. PatricioG, I realize you are impressed with Tower of Power and this song. However, you need to check the history of Tower of Power back to the 70's. Lenny Williams was the best singer Tower of Power ever had

Those who is/was the best lead singer of TOP are just opinions. TOP is an institution regardless of the lead singer. Some would say Rick Stevens is the best TOP lead singer because of "You're Still A Young Man" -- So really it's a wasted discussion. I liked all the TOP lead singers. Some of my favorites did not feature Lenny Williams (Diamond Sparkling in the Sand and You're Still A Young Man) So as I say -- It's a matter of opinion. All the Lead Singers were excellent otherwise the band would not have used them...
+curtiss2000 Lenny was great too. But Larry is Lenny on Steroids. He is a freak! He could sing the *entire* Tower songbook from each era. I have been to sound checks where he would warm up singing opera. Then immediately flip it into the best soul singer I have ever heard! During his tenure it seemed like he was born to sing in this band. I like Ray Green too although he has his own style.

Don’t forget about Ellis Hall!
Oaklandish for sure.
agreed
Jerry Ferko.. Yeah Jerry, in complete agreement with you.
Been a TOP fan for the entire 50 years (this being 2020).
Brent, Tom Bowes and Lenny Williams were the true
Tower of Power best vocalists. (Can't forget Rick Stevens also)
Everybody forgets Hubert Tubbs. He might not have been the best, but he deserves some respect as well.
Lenny Williams
Mr.Harmony
Here we go,the TOP "fans" who only know Lenny....🤦♂️
