  • Hi, I have a lot of catching up to do with you 😅 I’m hitting a new chapter in life that we often associate with as dreadful 🙇🏻‍♀️ aka midlife. It’s a programming belief that feels shameful and negative. Looking back, I really burned my younger self out with too much work and worrying. Moving into this new adventure in my life, I want to make the best of it. It’s probably time, I enjoy life 😉

you had mentioned a grieving and loss from your old identity, and at 24 years old I feel pretty alone with these emotions as well. so it feels really good to hear someone else also express this. I feel like I lost my old identity ( most of it anyways ) and I am evolving into the new version of myself, blooming more & more each day. but this transition we go through can feel so heavy and exhausting, because it feels like itll never end. at least for me some days it almost feels like ill never settle into myself. but I know that isnt true, and we can just allow ourselves to grow slowly. you're doing it gracefully and im really proud of how far you've come. you were one of the first UA-camrs I watched back in the day and this felt like hearing from an old friend. im wishing you peace and rest in your journey, and thank you again for sharing

    • @StudioAnnLe

Thank you for such an insightful comment Alexandra! I wishI was wise as you at 24. I was definitely far from that 😆. I know exactly what you mean by exhausting as change/growth is inevitable. Stop means, no more. So like you say, take it slow. I find being present helps me slow the process down. It’s tiring 😅

Happy Easter!! So great to see your smiling face and cheerful outlook again. For me, 30's were my best years. 40's I faced a lot of personal challenges which makes me really sad because 40's should be magical years. I just turned 52, I'm single and have 1 boy that's 13. My 50's will be spent raising a teenager but I will try to stay focused and raise a great child and then look forward to retirement in my 60's. Can't wait to see more of you and your journey!!

Hello Ann!!! So good to see you again. I always love listening to your beautiful voice and hearing your stories. I am also on my own journey to minimizing and because of one of your videos, I have decided not to colour my hair and it has been 2 years that I have not coloured my hair and strangely I am not missing it as I thought I would. I am also becoming more comfortable with myself, not as insecure compared to my younger self. I now feel ok meeting up with friends and colleagues without any makeup which will never happen in the past. I am embracing the simplicity of life and I would love to hear more from you. I am still struggling to declutter, I am always procrastinating and I feel super lazy even though I know there are things that need to be removed from the house.

Thank you so much for sharing with me your story Vonnie! I am so glad to hear how you are able to enjoy more of the simple life! Don’t worry too much about decluttering. The more you think of it as a job, it’ll feel stressful. I use to hate it too but now I love organizing my home. It’s an excuse for me to turn on a good podcast or play soothing music and do something with my hands besides thinking and stressing 😆 So good to hear from you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I loved watching your videos when I was married and it wasn’t going very well, now I’m on my own I decided to walk away from that toxic person and I’m glad you are still around making videos. It’s been 6 yrs since I was married, and my divorce just went through early this year. I’m also going through the grieving process which you mentioned in this video or a previous one I watched, grief for the role I had and also have the same childhood trauma of not being heard and only getting love when I did something right. I am working on myself too, and it’s tough work. Thank you for making your videos and being vulnerable and sharing with others, it’s not easy at all.

First of all, it's wonderful to see you again Ann! Happy Easter :) Thank you so much for sharing this journey, it's very inspiring ^____^
I'm going through something similar, I had to kinda give up my life at 21 and put a stop to my university studies due to health issues and having to take care full time of my house and my sick parents...now I'm 36 and I want to finally start my life and finish my degree, but many issues aren't resolved at all, actually the pandemic made things worst but I'm detemined to make things work, but I'm not sure how yet.
Even if I was lucky in many ways and I can vent to my friends, I don't have anyone that can really relate because everyone I know either has now similar problems but they are 15-20 years older than me, had no problems in their 20s and 30s and had they time and energy to work (so they are financially secure) or is my age, doesn't have a stable job or a family of their own but was always free to do what they wanted and program their lives and can jump to different opportunities because they are healthy.

I do feel that way as well and I think it’s like that for those who want to switch career paths too. It’s like starting new. I always hope to help someone out sharing my experiences and difficulties, it's easy to feel sad or discouraged if you think you are alone in your struggles but it's far from the truth. So many things that you have said I am currently sifting through as a 36 year old. My goodness like almost everything! Not sure if you have heard about Human Design before but it's basically a personality test and it's based off of the day and time you were born. You sound like you have a 6/2 profile like myself and you are in the part of your life where you are on the roof. Reflecting, discovering, throwing out the old, and embracing the new. If you haven't heard of it before check it out... It helped me make sense of so much.
