    Everything I've read days I have to do a scratch coat with lathe, or attach durock cement board for the stone to attach to. Did you use a different mortar that allows to skip those steps? I'd love to be able to just adhere like you did here

    My house has a smoother face to the brick. Many repairs that the brick does not match. Also many spots of chipped or Spalding brick. Do I need to prep differently to do this with a normal thin brick. Also I have bump outs that I want to keep but use a white sand stone for a better look.

    What a brilliant job. To be honest I didn't know how it would turn out till you grouted the stone and then I was amazed how good it looked.
    Your skills make a less than perfect stone look incredible.

    How long until they fall off with the freeze and thaw cycle in Canada? Not very much holding them on

    • @MarkDavis-gc3ji
      @MarkDavis-gc3ji 3 роки тому +2

      My thoughts exactly. Once water gets in-between and freeze, the veneer will pop.

    Need your advice. So I Have a 1920s brick building client wants to stucco over the exterior he’s keeping the interior brick wall exposed cause he likes the look. What would be the proper steps to cover the Brick ? He wants to apply 3M vapor barrier around the whole building then 2 inch iso followed by stucco procedure. Will applying the 3M 3015 VB on the exterior brick cause the brick not to breath properly and dry ?

    How well does the stone stay if you live in climate that has hard winters and hot summers (Midwest)

    • @1kbconstruction824
      @1kbconstruction824  3 роки тому +1

      That would depend on the type of material you used to install it.. It should stay on the wall in any weather if you use the right material.
