NCL needs to step it up because looks like the competition is coming up with some heavy hitters so will be interesting to see if prima plus does the job!
These new ships are looking absolutely incredible! I'm excited for how some of these brand new ships will learn from others already in their fleets. World America is going to be fascinating - there were a number of things that just didn't work on World Europa - let's see if they fix these onboard this new ship!
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Ah! Don't worry - nothing huge - just some areas of the ship not really pulling their weight from a customer attraction point of view, therefore making some other parts super busy! For example, the outdoor promenade is a huge space but was always deserted, forcing people elsewhere! Have a great trip!
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Can't wait for your take on World Europa! World Asia is definitely on my radar, and she could easily be the biggest megaship in this region 🥲
The ship type that I’m most looking forward to hearing specifics on is Royal’s new Discovery-class. They’ve been hinting at it for months if not years at this point. There’s a target audience for a smaller, mid-size ship with an emphasis on destinations, albeit with the typical vibe you expect from Royal Caribbean.
MSC World America because the sailings are a reasonable price for a new ship, unlike RCL & NCL. A lot of these ''new'' ships are just a copy of previous ships.
Maybe MSC is better in other areas of the world but they are crowded, with uneven service and food in the US. I agree RCL has responded to high demand with gouging but the on board product is consistently high.
@WSAnderson definitely hard that also. Plan for are first cruise 🛳 mom and my dad go all the time with carnival. My cusin in his family go carnival or Disney.
We will see if the World class can compete with Oasis-class or Icon class as we sail on World Europa this month. We agree the price point is great, but onboard experience uneven at best. Which MSC Cruises ships have you sailed on?
Celebrity! Their Edge class ship transformed me into someone who might actually cruise again after visiting Alaska on the Edge a few months ago. I'm not really a cruiser, we just wanted to go see Alaska. There was an earlier comment about having a target market for smaller mid-sized ships. That's me; I am that target market.
Ahh i love new cruise ships! Will never understand why most of these mentioned are going to the bahamas? Lol. At some point, more destinations will need to be added.
Some of the new ships do sail the Mediterranean, but you are right many sail from Florida to the Bahamas or the Caribbean. Where would you like to see them sail in the future?
@ if the newer ships can sail from galveston, LA, and even san diego. That would be awesome! Central america has many great places to visit. I guess its just a question if they have big enough ports
Disney 100% will not build a sister ship to the adventure. It was an already built ship that they redesigned to fit DCL (you can tell because it isn’t the prettiest ship). Plus the 4 new ships Disney ordered will be a little larger than the Triton class (around 160,000 gross tons)
We are booked on the MSC World America in Yacht Club and we are really excited about it!! I'm also excited that they are including the secret speakeasy that is also on on the World Europa ship. I hope I get picked :D
I was on the world europa ship in the summer I think all yacht club members get a one time pass to the speakeasy but I'm not 100% sure about that.I wasn't in yacht club myself but got to go it was amazing it's over 18s I'd say it will be over 21 on the world america ship you have to pay for your drinks price range €18-€25 and shots were €9-€12. We booked the world america ship as well hopefully I get to picked again.
Disney Adventure is not designed by DCL, but bought half finished after Dream Cruises went broke. It seems loyal DCL fans are quite unhappy with the design, but even if that gets popular DCL would probably have to work on their own megaships.
True, but the ship has a similar layout to Oasis-Class or World-Class, so we are excited to check it out. We think the venues look amazing, even if U.S. guests are the target market. Are you a DCL fan?
@@Eatsleepcruise1 Not tried DCL, but comments from other cruisers and UA-camrs alike aren't too positive. Also Genting ships aren't really known for being premium. Given a Wish-class ship will also be built and likely home ported somewhere 1 hour train from my home I know which one is the safer bet. Maybe I'll try other DCL megaship(s) if that goes well 😂
My absolute Favorite is Royal Caribbean. They have some of the best Ships ever built. Always being the Best, Biggest. And there service is spectacular. Along with there ports.
I’m just hoping that Celebrity’s next class of ship will incorporate some of the Solstice-class’ design features, like traditional balconies. As a European based cruiser that generally travels with a multigenerational group, most of these ships aren’t really targeted at us. lol
I'm losing hope in Celebrity. I can't stand the "ship within a ship" nonsense going on. Why would anyone want to sail on class ships that restrict whole areas of a ship to "suite" passengers. I'd never book a suite. For what reason? I spend very little time in my stateroom as do a good amount of others. No observation lounge, no library, noisy Grand plaza, the Edge ships aren't my cup of tea. The Xcel is just another Edge ship, nothing new there. In fact, most of these "new" ships are just add-ons to already existing ones with some tweaks. When will this industry stop with all the new ships and work at refining the experience fleet-wide? Are cruise passengers like children that always need a new shiny toy?
Bigger isn't better for everyone. But NEWER isn't always better either. To me, the cruise industry for a while now keeps marketing new, new, new. That's a problem. You should market to your niche or a target cruiser and refine the product and not constantly build new ships that, in many passengers minds, make the "older" ones "dated" or almost obsolete. A lot of these new ships emphasize restaurants for extra pay and extra pay activities. How else can you pay for all these new ships?
More and more cruise ships, higher prices and less services and food quality, compared to 25 years. We know because we've done 95 cruises in those years and has seen a lot of goodies and services disappear. They lowered food quality to entice folks in speciality restaurants which many do not even come close to the main dining room food quality and services of 25 years ago.
Went on a cruise with NCL. Didn't like it. The food wasn't good, service not good. The people that worked on the ship were not nice to cruisers. Crowne Grill is a really good restaurant. Not a bar person, a place to nosh yes. Problem with Disney, no casino.
What a time to be into cruising!
We agree. Any plans to sail on some of these ships next year?
I'll need to wait til 2034 til the prices reach my budget..I don't do "brand new" but still excited about these new experiences
