@@stevej02 maybe you overlooked the building that was once a tree, alive and thriving in its environment... awaiting its next adventure [as a home]... but who am I to share such wonders.
I really admire the craftsmanship, the materials, the location, the simplicity of this design, also the shafts were a nice touch but it could've been designed in a pleasant way to the eyes Great job
I love the story behind the light mines and their use is powerful at bringing light into the home and illuminating it as well as providing corridors which allow someone to view the stars. The home feels quite warm with its use of wood. Beautiful home.
it confused me a bit from the beginning and while I was following the pages of this "book", in the end it just captivated my mind like a real masterpiece.
This is like the 30th video in a row with a bright timber interior (which I don't like at all), would be nice to see a place that doesn't look like all the rest
As a Kiwi I am more interested in how ecologically friendly a house is, listening to it’s Architect blow bubbles about how ‘mine shaft’ his design is, that light has to brought in through climbing towers for the local Opossums, my next question is will the Opossum’s require a harness when the coastal winds gust in 🙂

Didn't really see the house much at all. Just the outside. I guess each to their own but I'd be gutted if I spent a shit tone of money and had to live in that!! 🙄
I get that this is your personal opinion. But try to see the story behind the architecture and appreciate the design and work that went into it. Constructive critic is always nice to view and see how others see a unique House, but ur comment sadly doesnt bring anything to the discussion. Have a good day!
@@ronnymcdonald2543 The judgment that this house is ugly can be constructively bring something to the discussion when it contains a useful observation. "No heart at all" could qualify. But I'm unsure what to do with it? I suspect a few personal items could give the interior more warmth? - The kitchen has a banana hanger, which if used, would have brought in some warmth?
@@ronnymcdonald2543 I’m not disliking his opinion. Its just a bit blunt to just say “its ugly””not heart at all”. I can obviously live with someone not sharing my opinion. I loved this build so much, I shed a tear. It's so thoughtfully put together, great location, courageous design. It's timeless.
You cried over a house? It may be time to seek help.

@@donnaoz5502 tbh it looks like something out of a Soviet era communist society. Drab and bland.
@@stevej02 Free will is gifted to all.
What an incredible design! Admiring everyone that lives in the houses that are literally part of them and their lives.
Incredible architecture. Incredible interior designing. Incredible history and location. Everything about this is perfect.
This is exemplary work.

Great job

The craftsmanship of the wooden details is so good. I hope guys get paid well for such a fantastic job.
A wonderfully executed design... with its story told from the heart.
Beautiful craftsmanship and design.
So moving and emotional, you can feel every gesture and detail.

Incredibly breathtaking design. My day is going to be greater now. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Australian modern architecture is by far the best in the world.
The shafts are something special
This is one of the best houses I've ever seen. Well done
I like the cladding in & out the house.
reminiscent of Wright
Spectacular home! Well done!
Extraordinary.
Beautiful 🤩. UK 🏴
Great project nice craftsmanship
nice to see no board formed concrete for once

Exceptional vision. Well done.
stunning.
GORGEOUS ❤
Wonderful job all round
Incredible
Great work 👍🏼
Wow 🤩
It's like Indonesian hut inspiration.
interesting thought
I think a natural roof with local plants would have really helped this home tie into its surroundings better.
No, the domes are the attraction here!
To inspire, the character, the different

Yeah, possum, they're feral, from OZ. They got not rights in NZ.
"Humble" ahhh yes, the natural humility of a multi million dollar property.
The most non humble location and house I have ever seen.
incredible video...do you guys mind if you let us know the tracks that have been played in this video?
Thank you so much in advance!
I’ve never heard an architect say the client is a pretentious dickhead. I’m sure the homeowners are just beautiful people and have a fuckton of money
Eyesore

Could anybody tell me what brand the internal door handle is
LIght traps. Monolithic.
What is the color of the house called
The horizontal panels are very much monotones and are destroying the aesthetics of the house a simple white color would have been enough
No, podle mě je mnohem lepší dělat celej život práci na hovno a v šedesáti splatit hypotéku na barák z katalogu :D
Že jo?! :D
👌🤣🤣
Nope. Thx.
was the cladding on the outside installed all unequal and bad on purpose?
the light shafts are ugly hehe.

I think you don't know the meaning of humble. A waste of money and light on that roofs
No hate; there is nothing special or incredible about this home. And those shafts are just 🙄🙄. So many better homes on this channel.
God, Archispeak is boring!
Blending gold mining reference to the sensitive location - ok sure.
I wouldnt mind if they moved the barnacles off the roof.
Those "light shafts" or "load mine shafts" are just horrible! It looks very ugly!
