Great video! I have struggled so many times trying to find the right bowl to use for my small jewelry bowls that I make. Watching you figure out which bowl is in the right one was very helpful!
Oh they are beautiful, definitely on my give it ago list. Thank you Edna for demonstrating so clearly and for always being so generous in sharing your learning 💗
Heading to a thrift store today to find a couple of bowls! I'm going to attempt a few little bowl bird feeders, and this actually looks doable! Thank you!!
Loved this very easy to follow tutorial. Thank you ❤ question: the silver and gold pens you used, will that come off during a wash? And can the bowls be safely used to eat in? Thanks!
It's beautiful! For how many days we should keep aside the bowl to rest? As I can see mine is getting back to original shape as I took out after a day.
It depends on what brand and type of resin you used. I leave mine overnight. But if yours is still bending, leave it in a few days longer, maybe 2 days. 👍
Hi Katheen, absolutely, this is what I always do, plus I adore Sue 😉 I have another tip for resin when you want to bend it but its not quite bendy enough, its easy to leave it to long to cure then it gets hard, you'll have to watch this Sundays process video to find out my handy tip to for this problem, cheers and happy weekend 😍
This assortment was great ! Thank you so much for sharing. I realize that this video is now 2 years old, but is it possible to tell me the brand & colour name of the blue (? mica), and cranberry colour ? With many thanks ! Thank you

Hey sweetheart thanks for sharing this!!! Please can you let me know one thing?? I really wanted to know, can foods be served on these?? , If yes which kind of food? For serving dishes... ? Please do reply I'm badly looking for this answer...
Hi, I'd have to dig the bowls out to measure them but the size of bowl will depend on the size of your project, so like me, trial and error is the best way, I just got lucky 😉
Try to use ceramic bowl to shape it. However, it is hardly to take out when it is time for demolding. Any suggestion to take out if we use the ceramic bowl?
Hi Edna, I have a question for you. I have a plate that I want to seal over with resin. The plate is porcelain but I’ve read it can be done. What is the best method to ensure the surface is clear and doesn’t pool in the center?
Thanks for this tutorial ❤️ i love it and i try to make one but i have a problem when i shape it the resin is wrinkled i don t know why it’s not smooth 😭😭😭
Hi! Does the colors in the coaster comes out when putting cold cup on top? I did mine and there were water droplets from my cup that has the color of the mold i use in. I tested it about 24 hours after 😂. Did i do something wrong or was it not cured fully at enough time?
I've never had trouble with the colour coming out. did you mix the colour correctly into the resin? sounds like it wasn't mixed properly, also I recommend using pigments special for resin to avoid this problem, they mix better. Hope this helps!
@@EdnaWargon submerge it or just the bottom of the bowl? Thank you so much! They are hard to take out because the “right” bowl is melamine n no or ceramic.
@LittleWhite Birdie741 these wash perfectly under the sink. I've used mine for months now, still going strong. Maybe ceramic would be better for you but resin is a whole other look 🙂
Hi flavia, I'm worried it will leave marks on the resin since its not fully cured, have you tried vaseline? But honestly as you see it works for me as long as i use a CERAMIC bowl 🥰
Thank you!!! I want to make these for Mother’s Day, so the children at church can give them to their moms.
I really like the way these came out. I’m about to embark on a resin bowl journey, and these are beautiful and I especially like the druzy bowls. ❤
Thanks so much 😊
These are so beautiful, especially the darker red ones, and the turquoise one is my absolute favorite!!!
Thank you Mary 😘
Thank you, Edna for taking the time to make these! I learned a lot 🥰
Happy you tuned in, thanks for watching 💜

Very nice tutorial, I always wondered how do they shape it
Love it!!!!! Do you sand your resin? I always have problem with the edges ☹ Thank you for sharing!!!
Hi Maria, if your edges are sharp sand them down with some fine sandpaper but in general I dont get any when making bowls.
Love these!! They are all beautiful 🥰

Sue findlay bends and shapes resin. It's best to do it when the resin is still pliable.

Unfortunately not, sorry. Happy you enjoyed the tutorial 😀
thank you for easy tutorial . can we mold the fully cured coaster ? Like if we by mistake skip the time of half curation for bowl shape
Not really no, try and soak it in hot water, then shape it but it might be too hard already.
@@EdnaWargon okay thank you soo much . Really
Wow..so pretty. You didnt use heat gun?
No, i use a little pass of a lighter then let it cure 😉
Nice job!
Love all of them. Very helpful video!
Happy to help Valerie, Happy Sunday 😊
It doesn’t spoil the crockery you are using? Also, an amazing tutorial…
No, not at all, just put it in the dishwasher 😉
Beautiful effect, can you share what colors you used for 1st bowl ?
Rose pigment paste from @Mrs.Colorberry 😊
Cuánto tiempo tengo que esperar para poder desmoldar y ponerlo en un bowl? Saludos desde Lima Perú
It depends on your resin so try after 4 hours if its too soft, let it set for longer. :)
Stunning 🤩

Lovely 'how to video' thank you 😊
Thank you back Mrs Miggins for watching, cute name 🤩💓
When you put them out into the bowler, aren’t they sticky? And get a mark on them?
No they are dry and if you use a smooth ceramic bowl it leaves no marks!
Love these! Beautiful

Can we unmould before the time ?
is this kind of resin food safe? or you can just only use it for displays? I'd like to use resin to my custom mug and plate but I'm not sure if it can be used as kitchenware?
@annjenellesosing2774 I use mine as a sugar bowl for example. As I've said in many of my tutorials nothing hot.
Are these food grade safe enough ? Can we keep sauces/dips in this ?
I can only recommend what I do.And that's to only put cold food in it.Nothing warm because that will soften the resin.
Hey sweetheart thanks for sharing this!!! Please can you let me know one thing?? I really wanted to know, can foods be served on these?? , If yes which kind of food? For serving dishes... ? Please do reply I'm badly looking for this answer...
Yes you can!Dry foods are best, hope this helps :)
Can we use resin bowls in kitchen means its safe for our health
Not hot food as it will soften the resin.
Wow!
Can you use normal acrylic paint or does it have to be pouring paint? Love your tutorial and really want to try these. Thanks in advance x
I use both depending, my other videos I've used acrylics too. 💕
Dont mind my asking but these resin bowls can b used only as showpiece or something else too?
Of course, lots of uses for these 😊
Beautiful
Merci Helen 🌸🌸🌸
I am struggling to preserve an old flower and few petals in same size of mold. Please advice how should I do and what all materials should I use ?
HI, this tutorial might help at the end I did some dried flowers in resin :) ua-cam.com/video/QBsdLSsg2Yw/v-deo.html
Those flowers are awesome! Are the moods available from you or did you find them somewhere else?
They've all been used in the previous 6 or so tutorials back, the links should be there. But use what you have or make them freeform why not 👍💓
After placing silicon mould into bowl then how much time it should place in bowl to demould it
A few hours, it depends on the temperature of your room and the brand of resin you used.
Hi after how many hours of curing its ready to be curved?
Around 4 hours, depending on your brand and type of resin
Hi! I would love to know the details of the bowl that worked for you? Dimensions if we have them?
Hiya, around 13 cm depending on the diameter of your molds 😊
Very nice! What size were the ceramic bowls that you settled on? I’ve tried so many but still can’t get the right fit 😫
Hi, I'd have to dig the bowls out to measure them but the size of bowl will depend on the size of your project, so like me, trial and error is the best way, I just got lucky 😉
After how many hours we shd demold to give it bowl shape
A few hours so its still soft...
Is it possible to top coast after making the shape ?
Hi, no its not topcoats work best with flat pieces
Try to use ceramic bowl to shape it. However, it is hardly to take out when it is time for demolding. Any suggestion to take out if we use the ceramic bowl?
Hi, yes, wait until its fully cured, it will come out easier.
Very pretty

Thanks for this tutorial ❤️ i love it and i try to make one but i have a problem when i shape it the resin is wrinkled i don t know why it’s not smooth 😭😭😭
Take it out a couple of hours after pouring. It might depend on the brand of resin you use.
@@EdnaWargon thanks 🙏 i try again and it was “quite” ok 😅
Can you turn the bowls upside down??

Mam y mould kitne inch ka h
How do I avoid that wrinkling on the middle of the coaster soon to be bowl? I presume it is timing?
Yes, wait the minimum time possible for your brand of resin.
Hey I wanted to ask a question.. aren't they sticky after they are cured/ harden? (I'm new to this thing so that's why m asking)
If you mixed parts A and B correctly they should harden to a tough plastic definitely not sticky :)
After how many hours should we de mould it
It depends, of it's hot a few hours but keep checking
Hi!! I have one stuck in the bowl and I can’t get it out! Any tips?
Place it under hot water for a bit then loosen it but make sure its cured first...

I'm beginner and my workshop is my kitchen is it safe.please reply
No, your kitchen is not the right place at all.
After how long did you take them out of the molds? And when you pressed them into the bowl, didn’t your fingers leave marks on them?
I left them around 6 hours until they are soft but it depends on your brand of resin. And no finger marks
Is this just white paint mixed with resin
It's pigment for resin.
Are these dishwasher safe?
Hi, no, handwash only 😊
Unfortunate. I was considering making a whole cups and bowls business cause it's just so beautiful lol. Thank you for the reply tho.

always lubrificate bowls with vaselin....
Hi flavia, I'm worried it will leave marks on the resin since its not fully cured, have you tried vaseline? But honestly as you see it works for me as long as i use a CERAMIC bowl 🥰
I use plastic in the bowl before I set my project, it's easy to de-mold and doesn't stick
It left crease marks from the plastic when I tried, so now I don't use plastic, I use a ceramic bowl and it leaves a beautiful smooth bottom 👍🔆🔆🔆
What if resin plate didn't go out of the bowl?
I used a ceramic bowl 😉
the druzy video is not available anymore how can i make it
Sorry this was an online course that I sold a while ago, the offer is no longer available :)
i tried but my coaster got sticked to glass bowl.
I use a ceramic bowl, not glass as in the video. 🙂
What is a druzy?
It's the crystal from the inside of a geode.
You could have just used plastic wrap as a barrier to pull them right out.
I don't use plastic wrap as it leaves wrinkles underneath and i want my bowls smooth 🥰
You should have put them into the bowl earlier, as they are set a little too hard. But they are still pretty..
I have one stuck in a bowl 😃
😁 i was told once to put it in the freezer if it sticks maybe try that? Let me know if it works 💜
How to topcoat
You don't need to topcoat 🙂
