Quick and to the point. I work with game engines, and I've switched to Blender as my main modeling software - but I never really use it for materials or textures since those are engine specific. I did need to have a model that had two separate material IDs and I appreciated you covering it without having to scan through a 30 minute video.
And I appreciate you taking the time to kindly comment! Thanks a lot for watching, and best of luck with your project ✌️😉
I love the way you explained the Material Preview button, it use to be confusing until you simplified it. Can you help explain the other buttons close to the Material Preview? Many thanks
Excellent! Just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Thanks! I've been trying to figure out how to create shiny stuff in Blender, and this did more than just help!
OMG! Thank you for your explanation. I was really looking for a a basic tutorial about how to apply materials in some faces of an object.
You are really talented at teaching! I would love to see a basic stairs animation tutorial where it forms through the rotation of each step.
This song is fire & kept me engaged lol - great tutorial thank you! :)
Know the name of it?
You have amazing videos, please keep posting
Thank you so much 🙏
Hi Lee. I'm very much new to the animation world. Just when I was wondering is it possible to create vector animated film on after effects, I stumbled upon your
channel. Thanks for all the works you have put up for all these years. New supporter here! Keep making.
:D
dope, straight to the point, helpful, thanks
Exactly what I was looking for thank you
Thank you so much!
straight to the point thank you so muich
Thanks so much 🙏
Do you have a tutorials about how can we make our materials in UV editor to PNG or JPG ?
Thanks for the video. I am having some issues:
I use this technique to color the eyes of a model. Now when I export the model (GLB) *the eyes take on the color of the model's body, not the two colors assigned to the eyes (white and black).* It's strange I I don't find a way to fix that. Any idea?
I would like to see mirror materials and glass materials.
exactly what I needed thx!
Thank you for this.
when im exporting my mesh with gltf2.0 its just return the mesh as the white default color. Does anyone know what to do?
how can we avoide the sharp line in the edge of the two materials, is there a way to soften it? thanks
thanks a lot this video really helped, favorited and subscribed
Thanks for a great video Lee. Is it possible to create a few materials for an object and then swap between them to say compare them. I created a cube and then added 2 materials. Only the first material I created is displayed on the object. I understand that once an Object material has been assigned to an object then the usual approach is to assign colours to different parts of the mesh in Edit mode. (I am not sure if this is the correct terminology) the But is it possible to change the "Object material" ?
it helped me a lot bro thamks
Thank you Sir ❤
very helpful, thank you
Don't have the material view button :(

Did you figure it out?

Hey, is it possible to animate a guitar in blender?
Nice
👌
this is tutorial beginner for me
It's not assigning the material
My materials dont work :(
which version, and did you change viewport setting?
i think 3.3 and later have a default material, just edit that/ delete and create a new one
@@maggie3060 it just Assigns the material to the whole object for me and i dunno why
@@Swaggy_PP did you select faces beforehand? I havent used blender in ~6 months and it worked like that (unless im remembering the class i took where we ysed maya but it wont hurt to at least try)
@@maggie3060 i found my problem i just had to have a base material for everything before i could select individual faces
"remove the default cube" leave my fucking cube man alone yo
DAT HOW DAT B I SEE DAT SHI
