Loved your hook review! Thank you for the information, good stuff to know. My favorite hooks are the Clover Amour, and second are the Dots. Happy crocheting everyone! 😊
The Dots hooks are my new favorites. The Clover hooks used to be my number one but it’s second now and Etimo pink hooks are my third. Thanks for the reviews.
Hi honey, I'm afraid I had to watch this video in bursts today 😂😉 I had a mountain of dishes to wash so propped you up on the windowsill lol The hooks I gifted to you are beechwood lightweight hooks made for arthritic hands and boy are they light, a great alternative to have in your travel crochet bag so you don't lose or drop your more expensive hooks 😉 the make I got was Coopay in the UK, they go from £4.69-£6.89 ATM but other makes sell the same ones, not Yarniss in the UK although you can buy the illuminated ones. I love my Furls hooks (thank you my sweet friend my lovely hooks🥰) but the postage to the UK is as much as the hook itself, which makes it a silly price, although the rose gold blush sound lovely 🥰🥰
Thanks for the review!!! I use Dots or I think it's called Yarniss, a set that my daughter got for me from Amazon. Those two are my favorites! I have Clover Amour that I use sometimes too. Have a great week! 🙂🙃🥰😘❤
Hello Tia! You are so welcome, my dear. I love Clover hooks, as you can tell. 🤣 The Yarniss for Amazon were a complete and pleasant surprise to me. I really like them a lot! 😀😍
This was so fun!! Thank you for taking the time to review all of these hooks! I really like to use the Omni resin hooks for Caron Simply Soft. It helps with the splitting imo. Glad to see you’re back at home and praying for your good health 🥰🙏
Tess, Thank you for such a great hook review. I especially like how you held the Etimo hook in your hand to show how it was too short for you. I have small hands and the my one Etimo Crochet hooks fits nicely in my hand. I mostly use Clover Amour and similar hooks I found at Michaels. I have tried the Omni and Prym hooks but the shafts are so long that my wrist hurts after using them for a while. I am thinking about get the Dots hook since it would be nice to have a complete set of the same type of hook, and I notice when you held the Dot hook next to the Clover hook the shafts are the same size so they should work for me. So glad to see that you are doing better. Thank you again for the video.
Hi Cynthia! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I appreciate you so much. I want to let you know that the Dots hooks are almost an inch longer than the Clover hooks in case that matters to you. I really love the Dots, and right now, they are on sale at crochet.com for 40% off, making them only $17 for the complete set, which I'm a great deal. Let me know if you get them. 😀😍
@@tesslovesyarn Tess, I just bought the Dots crochet hooks with link you provided. Even thought the handle is longer since the actual crochet hook shaft is not I think they should work. If not they can always make a Great Christmas gift to my BFF. Thanks for letting me know about the sale.
Hi Catrina! Oh my goodness, $17 for the whole huge set is an amazing deal. I paid $25.50 for mine, which is still well worth the price. I'm so glad you got the 40% off. Yay! 😀😍
Hi Tess, great your home Happy belated birthday 🎂 I'm surprised the medal hooks are good for you I thought being heavy would be hard on the hands. I'm not fond of furls. As for short hooks 👎for the exact reason you mentioned.
Hi Suzanne! The Furls metal hooks are heavy, but the way they are weighted helps to complete the downward motion of the stitch with no effort on the user's part. It's all physics, who knew. 🤣 I didn't love Furls as much as I do until I got the metal streamline hooks. I use them a lot now but I also use the new Dots (WeCrochet) and the Yarniss a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 😀😍
These are probably all great for the knife holders. However, as a pencil grip, the added plastic grips and globs just don't work for me. I have and use daily, my grandmother's all steel hooks. They range from lace 00 to N. I had to add in the larger sizes past H. I have tendon issues too. I just exercise my hands regularly & wear supporters That and I could care less about being a fast crocheter, which I do believe eases up doing more damage. Great reviews though!
So true, Betty. I didn't even realize that most of my hooks are more suited to the knife grip. Wow, you have and use your grandmother's hooks. That is so amazing! My steel hooks are from my mother, who passed 5 years ago and my aunt (also passed), I never use them but will always have them. I like looking at them. 😀😍
The cherished hooks bring a sense of comfort, I know they do for me. I still use her pencil case that she kept her hooks in. Don't know if it's being thrifty, or sentimental. It's nothing special, but it still works.

Love my Dots. I'm going to look for those wooden handle ones.
