Higa was left foot braking the entire time causing him to be super slow. Even the commentators mentioned how slow he was going in an accel zone. Vaughn gave him a good lead to follow but he ended up center punching a pylon.

@@gruneflamme2013 There is a big gap of grip/hp between them. Left foot break is used to adjust angle, because it's made with full throttle. I still think it was unfair.
