Correct me I'm wrong, but in both videos he didn't mention a single Sega game, nor any PS1, PS2/Xbox or PS3/360 game. Most are 2D platformers, indie games or Nintendo games. Nothing wrong with that but you do seem to be covering a very limited category of games.
@radicalcentrist4990 Fair enough, but it makes me think he has never owned any of those systems. Which is fine, I myself have never owned a Nintendo. But I'm also not making videos on UA-cam about the best games of all time, and if I did I would make it clear the reason why I wouldn't be including many Nintendo games.
What Sega, PS1, PS2,Xbox/PS3 360 games were perfect? GOW 2, Halo 1, THPS2, SSX Tricky, SSX 3. Any others? Those consoles had a lot of great classic games, but few perfect games. imo Nintendo has more perfect games. Nintendo has more 10/10s while Sony and Xbox have more 9/10s. There are no perfect Sonic games and most of the Halo games except the first have problems. Nintendo has a long list of games that are better than any other games out there. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are still some of the best games available. Sony's closest to perfection besides GOW 2 was Gran Turismo 3. (Metroid is definitely Nintendo's most overrated those games lowkey kind of suck).
Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Ecco the Dolphin, Mickey’s Castle of Illusion, World of Illusion, Toejam and Earl, Ducktales NES, Mega Man 3, Mega Man X, Mega Man X4, Super Metroid, Super Star Wars trilogy, Mortal Kombat 2, NBA Jam, Jordan in the Windy City, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy X, Resident Evil 3, Rez, Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue, Ikaruga, Capcom vs SNK 2, Soul Calibur 2, Onimusha, Metal Slug, Ridge Racer, Tony Hawk 2, Rush 2049, Guilty Gear XX Reload, Power Stone 2, Worms Armageddon, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex PS2, GTA3, GTA4, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Nights into Dreams. All amazing games, many of them kinda perfect.
in regards to the saving in DKC2 - the dying and having to replay the last stage a bit is I think an intended aspect of adding difficulty to the game. This is just when games started ahving save systems and you are essentially save scumming trhough games now whereas typically in games older than it if you die you start the whole game over. I do get your complaints though, and there are 2 key workarounds that really minimize your problems: 1. when you beat a boss, you dont have to go to the next stage, you can actually move around and pick any stage, so you can just re-enter an old stage, save, then use funky's flights to get to the new stage. 2. in every stage there is at least 1 level which has DK coins very close to the entrance. If you already have beated a level, you can press start+select to immediately leave that level at any point during a replay of it. So you can enter stage, collect coin, start+select and repeat as many times as you want. eventually though you come to love the game enough that you beat it in one sitting, and you have like 20 extra lives by the time you finish the first stage and you never really need to worry about the gameover screen until you get to harder levels like animal antics and toxic tower.
Great series so far! I don't know if it's one of the games in your backlog but I really hope Okami gains some more popularity. That game is a masterpiece held back by very few flaws. I hope you get a chance to get around to it.
Mother 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Castlevania SOTN, Sonic Mania, Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid, Metroid Dread, Elden Ring, debatably Earthbound. Mother 3's story is not just my favorite game story, but one of my favorite stories ever (makes sense when you find out it was originally supposed to be a play). The gameplay holds up against most modern day RPGs, the music is fucking phenomenal, and I legit tear up thinking about it's sad moments, holy shit. I felt reborn after playing this masterpiece.
Good list, after watching both videos there are only three games I would personally dispute: - Thousand Year Door is a great game but it does get padded out with a lot of backtracking back and forth in the back half, especially the haunted mansion and island chapters - Red Dead Redemption (and probably 2 as well though I haven't played it) is in my opinion a very messy, very flawed game, full of systems that don't fit together well (for example the hunting and crafting adding very little to the core gameplay) as well as just long boring stretches of horseback riding and a lack of mission variety with too many drawn out gunfights - GoW 2018: While I would never critique a game for focusing on story, I do think the way this game TELLS its story borrows too much from film to really work well as a video game Some games I would personally add (which I'm sure have been mentioned before): - Chrono Trigger: Immaculately crafted and paced game with a universal sense of adventure. While this is not my favorite game and I admire the greater ambition with which Final Fantasy VII challenged the conventions of the genre CT is much harder to criticize - Final Fantasy Tactics: Almost every FF game is experimental enough to have some rough spots, but this spinoff is absolutely sublime in terms of mechanics, narrative, and aesthetics, its biggest flaw is probably focusing on the less interesting parts of the story in the last section but it still has a great ending - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night: the genre-defining Metroidvania and just an incredibly elegant adventure game with a beautiful soundtrack and one of the coolest secrets in gaming - Super Metroid: The other defining half of Metroidvania, and a masterclass both in 2D game design and non-verbal storytelling/atmosphere building - Resident Evil 4: The action game par excellence, constantly bombarding you with new and exciting ideas - Star Fox 64: A game so untoppable Nintendo gave up and based every subsequent release in the franchise on some kind of massively game- changing gimmick - Rayman Legends: A platformer easily worthy of the company of DKC or Super Mario World, where almost every level is packed with mind blowing amounts of creativity
Thanks, I'll give my reasonings for my decisions: Maybe this is because I played the remake and not the original but I had no issues with the pacing in the thousand year door aside from maybe the boring train segment. I disagree with the points about Red Dead Redemption. Hunting is extremely fun in the game, especially if you do the challenges. Hunting down the legendary animals is just fun, especially in the undead nightmare DLC when you get to track down the chupacabra. I also couldn't disagree more about the long boring horse rides. For starters, a decent amount of them are completely skippable, but the ones that aren't are either only a minute or two long or involve horse combat as well which is part of the gameplay. I actually think this game is one of the more qualified games for a list like this. I understand some people don't like God of War's story mostly because they find Atreus annoying, but after experiencing the game for myself and also watching other channel's break down the great internal writing this game has, I have nothing big to criticize about its story. I love Symphony of the Night too but for this list I simply couldn't include it. The reason being that there are so many broken mechanics, overpowered weapons, terrible weapons, and other forms of bad gameplay balancing, which is my only problem with the game but it's big enough to where I didn't want to include it. The icing on the cake was when the final boss only took me less than 2 minutes. Rayman Legends is a game that I've been conflicted on because I found the momentum physics very wonky, but I've since decided that it would be deserving of a part 3, which I don't think will come out until I play through some more games first. The rest of the games you mentioned are games I'm looking to play through eventually, so thank you for the suggestions.
@@WyvrnOnYTI’m surprised you thought GOW 2018 is “perfect” because there are 2 major things that stick in my head when I think about criticisms that could be directed towards the game. 1. Is that absolute horrible arc that Atreus goes through where he becomes all evil and then within an hour or two he learns his lesson and becomes a “good” person again. I remember thinking just how abrupt and unnatural this arc felt and it really rubbed me the wrong way. And #2, the obvious criticism that can be directed gameplay wise is the severe lack of quality in the bosses you fight in the game. It got tiring really fast fighting the same trolls and giants just with slightly different variations. Overall GOW (2018) is a good game but far from “perfect” in my opinion.
Link Between Worlds love babyy lets goooo! My favorite Zelda game & was such an unforgettable experience when I was a kid. Ocarina of Time & Minish Cap are up there as well, but idk I just loved the mechanic of sticking to the walls & how much it was utilized to slip between worlds to complete dungeons & find hella secrets. Great video as always man!
Far be it from me to judge someone else's gaming tastes, but after watching Parts 1 and 2 I can safely say our gaming tastes are VERY different. Out of the games I played on either part, the only one I can agree is perfect is probably Mario 3
That's alright. We may have different tastes or we may just have different rules on what makes a game more perfect than another. It's an entertainment industry anyway.
Lots of great picks on this list, Really its basically impossible for me to actually declare a game perfect, Even some of my favorite games of all time have stuff that i can admittedly see how people would criticize, But honestly there are one or two games that i literally cannot think of a single complaint for, Ones at such a ridiculously high quality in every aspect that they're kinda undeniable, The best example that immediately comes to my mind would be Persona 5 Royal. This is like the ultimate example of a game hitting on all cylinders. Story, Characters, Gameplay, Music, Art Direction, Level Design, Like even if its not the absolute BEST at everything, There is literally nothing in this game I'd consider subpar, It's as close to a flawless JRPG as you can get tbh. Its a very VERY long game, But even through my 120+ hour playthrough, There was never a dull moment for me, There's just so much to do & The aesthetics of everything from the vibrant city setting to the absolutely amazing OST & Ultra stylish menus just make everything feel so satisfying to experience.
Might and Magic 6 should never be missed in such a list. My mum, who has no connection to video games usually and is over 60 has played it from start to end 3 times. This tells the immense quality of that game. Definitely an all time classic. And my other personal perfect game is Pikmin 4.
Decent list imma gonna share some of my favorite games here: - Sekiro: Shadows die Twice - Elden Ring - Persona 5 (Royal) - Persona 3 - Sonic Adventure 2 - Sonic Generations - Trails from Zero - NieR Automata - NieR Replicant - Skies of Arcadia Legends - AI: The Somnium Files NirvanA Initiative - Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma - Danganronpa V3 - Ori and the Will of the Wisps I limited myself to games that weren't on your list, because there is some overlapping there
Zero Time Dilemma is the best story in any piece of media period but very flawed as a video game. Persona 3 and 5... aint quite what i would call the peak of gaming either
@WyvrnOnYT yes. It's not too draining for a sitting to either progress to the savepoint or get to funky kong to fly back to the previous world to save. Imo. I'm not negating your experience but this is mine.
Celeste, Ori & The Will Of The Wisps (not perfect but one of the best action platformers i’ve had the chance to play) Spelunky 2 (Easily in my top 5), Armored Core 6 (haven’t been an AC fan since this entry but man oh man this game blew me away.) Dark Souls 3 & Bloodborne, Baldur’s Gate 3, Blasphemous 2, Lies Of P, Nioh 2, Returnal, Shovel Knight, Ghost Of Tsushima, Hotline Miami 1 + 2 (not perfect by any means but mindless fun) Bioshock (arguable) Furi (Short + sweet), Dead Space and Alien Isolation, and if you haven’t got to play it yet, Silent Hill 2 (2024) :)
I hope you'll forgive me for being baffled as to why Earthbound isn't on either list! 😂 The skewering of North American culture, the in-depth coming of age story about 4 middle school friends, the frightening final encounter as well as the meta humor prevalent through the whole game... I really urge any younger RPG fans to get it on their Switch and give it a shot!
Always fun to hear discussions of some awesome game :D Here two recommendations of games I got really into somewhat recently: - Hades - Slay the Spire To me they are basically perfect. Let us know if end up playing any of them!
The mention of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and being a 4-player 2D platformer made me think of Rayman Legends, a game that I feel did that but way better. Made a lot of good memories with my siblings on that one, and now that I think about it, I would probably say it's among the closest games to perfect that I've played. I'm sure similar could be said about Origins, but I've not played that one.
If you’re planning on continuing this series it would really help us viewers keep track of what we can and can’t recommend if you made a Backloggd user with all games you have and will play.
Is that a website? I'll be sure to check it out. The problem is I collect physical games (even some I don't enjoy) so it's kinda a grey area on whether or not to put all of them on the backlog at once.
@@WyvrnOnYT Yeah its a website and they also have an app on the way. It’s gonna take an hour or two to mark all your games on there when you get started, assuming you have a collection of around 300 like myself. I for example have all the games I want to play in the ”backlog” category and everything I already own (which usually means I already played for a few minutes) in the ”shelved” category. Games I’ve beaten are in ”completed”.
Here are some perfect games which i strongly recommend to you. 1. Sekiro (The perfectly crafted game from FromSoft) 2. Yakuza 0 (This game has an amazing emotional story and so much great content.) 3. Persona 5 Royal (I like Persona 3 more but unfortunately we don't have a definitive version with all the content in it. But you will understand why I listed P5R once you played it.) 4. GOD HAND (You know the person who was responsible for Resident Evil 1 & 4? He made a Beat 'em up game which is to this day one of the most fun games ever.) 5. Forbidden Siren 2 (This is how you use an innovative idea and turn it into an great atmospheric survival horror game.) 6. Fatal Frame 2 (Very very atmospheric horror game in which you fight ghosts by taking photos of them.) 7. The Talos Principle (You like Portal?! Than this game is an instant buy!) 8. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (The perfect stealth game with a high fun factor.) 9. Hitman Blood Money (Stealth, changing outfits to disguise yourself, endless opportunities to approach your traget and a lot of fun figuring out every level.) 10. Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (Even if you're not interested in skating this game will be such a fun experience.)
I love the mention of Prince of Persia. I think it was unfairly written off. Interesting question: can a better iteration of a game retroactively make the predecessor less perfect? I think this applies to DKC2, as well as Doom Eternal. I hear this a lot with Borderlands 1 vs. 2 as well. A few of my picks: F Zero GX, Soul Calibur 2, Smash Bros Melee, Resident Evil 4 (on original hardware), and Sonic 2 (though I prefer S3&K)
Tbh you should revisit your choice on best God of War entry until after you have legitimately played the Greecian Trilogy. Don't get me wrong GOW 2018 is a great game. But its honestly a weaker entry to the overall franchise. Compared to the feats Kratos pulled and managed to topple an entire pantheon practically single handedly in his bloodsoaked revenge crusade. If you ask me GOW 2 was the perfect game in the series. Also the isometric hack n slash gameplay still suits the games better too. nonetheless respect your choices on the games. Good video as well.
Halo2 halo3 fable, gears of war, basically every Mario game, basically every Zelda game, dk country 2 and tropical freeze, goldeneye, Pokémon hgss and b2w2, megaman battle network, resident evil 2 and 4, silent hill 2, gta 3-5, persona 4 golden and persona 5 royal, stardew valley, super smash, final fantasy, golden sun, Witcher 3, dragon quest 8 and 11, Minecraft,
I don't think there are any 10/10 anythings, but something could be considered "perfect" if it achieves all of it's goals, and I wouldn't argue if it was to be discussed from that perspective.
So glad you put Prince Of Persia and Animal Well in the list! I agree it’s (Persia), my Game Of The Year without a doubt! I think GOTY needs best SideScrollers!
While it is not perfect its story, characters and worldbuilding is so high above most of all the other games that I think one could call Disco Elysium "perfect". Such a great game! Oh and Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition is for sure a perfect game. Pointer controls made this such a good game to play!
Witcher 3 is an almost perfect game. The world and storytelling are amazing but, the food mechanic leaves alot to be desired. You can shoot fire out of your hand but cant cook your raw food...
I personally don't like a lot of the games here but your reasoning is sound and thoughtful. Nice to see videos like this from young gamers instead of the typical trendy brain rot.
I don't know if you know the definition of the game, but for something to be a game it has to be: A. Interactive and B. Challenging Is paint a game? No. But if I'll tell you to draw 5 circles in 10 seconds, it is a game, it has a challenge to it, sure it's a very very boring game, but it is a game indeed. So GoW criticism makes sense, also because the gameplay is spamming one button on anything else than the hardest difficulty. So it doesn't pose a challenge
Your oversimplification of God of War's gameplay is very disingenuous. It is nowhere near just a game where you mash one button. It's combat is actually more similar to souls-like combat than most people give it credit for. Also you literally said part of what makes a game is being interactive. Even if the game were just spamming a few buttons, that's still objectively interactive. You don't have to like the game but to claim it isn't even a game is insanity.
@@WyvrnOnYT I like it, it's a good game, I'd say a 7,5/10, but I can't deny the fact, that GoW's combat is terrible and too easy, and yeah a part of what makes game is being interactive but that's one part and the second is being challlening.
@@EasyMoney_SniperRGames don’t have to have challenge in order to be a game. There’s whole genres like visual novels and point and clicks which don’t have challenge yet are still games. Imo a game is a media in which you can interact with it in some way.
@@gomdgomd2268 Old point and click games were an intellectual challenge, just in the past few years games shifted into these games that play themselves. As games got more popular they just became easier and much more casual.
For any Playstation heads, you need to list little big planet. An absolute masterpiece of a game, and the only game I've enjoyed on my ps3 (aside from this one EA racing game).
I saw portal 2 was on your list, definitely play that if you liked the first one. Its literally like one million times better than the first game, which I didn’t even know possible lol
A game I'm shocked hasnt been mentioned yet is The Last of Us 1 or 2. If you havent played it, it's a MUST play. Changed the course of gaming forever when it came out.
Personally I think ULTRAKILL belongs in this list. I might be biased but I can't think of anything outright bad with the game, other than the community and time between updates but those should be separated from the game itself
Bayonetta is a perfect game in my opinion. The combat is just amazing and makes me feel like an unstoppable badass (even though the combo system is unforgiving and i keep getting stone awards), the characters are goofy and interesting, the enemy design is out of this world.... And yes, one could argue that the bosses are too gimmicky, but i love gimmick bosses hahaha
God of War 2018 is an 8-8.5/10 game. Enemy Variety is terrible, I don't buy into the RPG-esque mechanics of the game and the Story's pacing is just bad. The only interesting story part is Baldur and everything concerning him. God of War 3 is the real masterpiece (I haven't played Ragnarok yet)
I agree to both videos in many ways, but maybe sum up franchises like Donkey Kong Country. Had to check, this isn't a 1st April dated video at the beginning xD Missing following games: Subnautica (closest to perfect for a singleplayer survival game) Elden Ring (closest for perfect for Openworld AND Combat, it literally killed all other action rpgs for me.. just cut the part about narrative xD) Mass Effect Trilogy.
The one significant problem I can list for Super Mario Galaxy is the 121st star: the level in itself is fine (in fact, It might be a perfect epilogue) but the path you take to unlock it isn't. Requiring the player to get 120 stars all over again but with Luigi this time is beyond the pale. Only the Cosmic Luigi races were changed significantly. If they'd done some kind of remix like NSLU, it would have been fine but, as it is, it's lazy padding for an otherwise (almost) perfect game.
Great lists, tecmo Super Bowl, elder scrolls 5 Skyrim, Zelda botw, Mario 2, goldeneye Wii, should’ve been in the first vid. Yes Nintendo is the boss. Main reason for me is their backgrounds and foregrounds don’t blend together like PlayStation.
As crazy as it is, and as powerful of a statement as it is, If you ask people what the greatest game of all time is 9/10 people will say Breath of the Wild, and there are probably 25-30 games that could be argued as the greatest ever. So to think that Breath of the Wild is pretty much unanimous, that says an indescribable amount. It really is the best ever, and everything else fights for 2nd place.
Okay I agreed with everything in the last one but I cant really agree with Mario 64 being a perfect game lol Also Deltarune would be a good fit for this series
Off all the games I've personally played, games that are near perfect are Megaman Zero 3, Devil May Cry 3, Metroid Zero Mission, Mario Party 4, Psuedoregalia, and Super Mario Sunshine.
Monster Hunter World/Iceborne is one of the, if not the, best game ever made Literally everything about the visuals, environments, gameplay, enemies/bosses, UI, atmosphere etc... are all geared towards pure adventure
Super Mario Bros Wonder and Pizza Tower along with Gravity Circuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy trinity of 2023 11/10 2D Platformer video game perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ghost Trick is perfect. Everything it wants to do, it executes beautifully, there just are no bad elements about the game really. There was not one single poorly designed puzzle the gameplay is very unique, there were no glaring errors in the writing, the pacing is amazing, the ost is great, the characters are well-written, the game LOOKS awesome aswell. And also very importantly, it did NOT overstay its welcome, not too long, but also not too short.
I recommend you to play Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, it's the closest to a perfect game that I have ever played. It has the best combat system imo, the parrying is so satisfying, overall boss quality is very high, it has 2 of the best bosses in gaming imo and the difficulty is perfection, you can't get over leveled like in other Souls-likes, you actually have to get good to defeat the bosses and nothing on earth feels more satisfying.
@@CarlosDiaz-fs6cv Thanks, I'll definitely play it in the future, do you know any other games similar to Sekiro? I've already played the obvious ones like Rise of the Ronin, Wo Long, Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh 1 and 2.

This is just when games started ahving save systems and you are essentially save scumming trhough games now whereas typically in games older than it if you die you start the whole game over.
I do get your complaints though, and there are 2 key workarounds that really minimize your problems:
1. when you beat a boss, you dont have to go to the next stage, you can actually move around and pick any stage, so you can just re-enter an old stage, save, then use funky's flights to get to the new stage.
2. in every stage there is at least 1 level which has DK coins very close to the entrance.
Meant to mention this in honorable mentions to. I'm about 2/3 into the game.
@@WyvrnOnYT I'd love to know your take on it after you finish it
Mother 3, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Castlevania SOTN, Sonic Mania, Super Mario RPG, Super Metroid, Metroid Dread, Elden Ring, debatably Earthbound.
You forgot Pikmin 1, which is NOT my favorite Pikmin but truly is structurally perfect. World's finest real-time strategy game.
Good thing you included link to the past, it's not only my favorite game of all-time I think it's a perfect game.
love your list man i will absolutley try out
Good list, after watching both videos there are only three games I would personally dispute:
- Thousand Year Door is a great game but it does get padded out with a lot of backtracking back and forth in the back half, especially the haunted mansion and island chapters
- Red Dead Redemption (and probably 2 as well though I haven't played it) is in my opinion a very messy, very flawed game, full of systems that don't fit together well (for example the hunting and crafting adding very little to the core gameplay) as well as just long boring stretches of horseback riding and a lack of mission variety with too many drawn out gunfights
- GoW 2018: While I would never critique a game for focusing on story, I do think the way this game TELLS its story borrows too much from film to really work well as a video game
Some games I would personally add (which I'm sure have been mentioned before):
- Chrono Trigger: Immaculately crafted and paced game with a universal sense of adventure. While this is not my favorite game and I admire the greater ambition with which Final Fantasy VII challenged the conventions of the genre CT is much harder to criticize
- Final Fantasy Tactics: Almost every FF game is experimental enough to have some rough spots, but this spinoff is absolutely sublime in terms of mechanics, narrative, and aesthetics, its biggest flaw is probably focusing on the less interesting parts of the story in the last section but it still has a great ending
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night: the genre-defining Metroidvania and just an incredibly elegant adventure game with a beautiful soundtrack and one of the coolest secrets in gaming
- Super Metroid: The other defining half of Metroidvania, and a masterclass both in 2D game design and non-verbal storytelling/atmosphere building
- Resident Evil 4: The action game par excellence, constantly bombarding you with new and exciting ideas
- Star Fox 64: A game so untoppable Nintendo gave up and based every subsequent release in the franchise on some kind of massively game- changing gimmick
- Rayman Legends: A platformer easily worthy of the company of DKC or Super Mario World, where almost every level is packed with mind blowing amounts of creativity
Thanks, I'll give my reasonings for my decisions:
Maybe this is because I played the remake and not the original but I had no issues with the pacing in the thousand year door aside from maybe the boring train segment.
@@WyvrnOnYTTry Castlevania SOTN, trust me you will not be disappointed
i feel as though you aren’t including Twilight Princess in these videos just to mess with me
It's kinda hard for me to pick it over the other 10 almost perfect games from this franchise
Top 3: Skyward sword > twilight princess > echoes of the wisdom
The 2 games that I’ve played in my life that just felt “perfect” to me were Ghost of Tsushima and RDR2
I was going to say NHL 94, but then I remembered Mario or Donkey Kong aren't in it
Nice one 👌
True. Mario and Donkey Kong being in a game significantly increases that game's chance at being almost perfect.
Might and Magic 6 should never be missed in such a list. My mum, who has no connection to video games usually and is over 60 has played it from start to end 3 times. This tells the immense quality of that game. Definitely an all time classic. And my other personal perfect game is Pikmin 4.
Starsector is the most underrated game I have ever seen and after playing it you just want to play it more and more, it's very good
Decent list imma gonna share some of my favorite games here:
- Sekiro: Shadows die Twice
- Elden Ring
- Persona 5 (Royal)
- Persona 3
- Sonic Adventure 2
- Sonic Generations
- Trails from Zero
- NieR Automata
- NieR Replicant
- Skies of Arcadia Legends
- AI: The Somnium Files NirvanA Initiative
- Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma
- Danganronpa V3
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps
I limited myself to games that weren't on your list, because there is some overlapping there
Zero Time Dilemma is the best story in any piece of media period but very flawed as a video game.
Persona 3 and 5... aint quite what i would call the peak of gaming either
Donkey Kong's save system is seriously not that bad. It's a privilege to be able to save these games at all.
A privilege? lol
@WyvrnOnYT yes. It's not too draining for a sitting to either progress to the savepoint or get to funky kong to fly back to the previous world to save. Imo. I'm not negating your experience but this is mine.
I think Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey and Oddworld: Abe's Exodus are two of the greatest platformers ever made and deserve to be on the list.
Props for putting Prince of Persia in there. Agreed!
I saw Rondo of Blood in your back catalog, and I would consider that a perfect game, you should definitely play it. (Its also very short)
Always fun to hear discussions of some awesome game :D Here two recommendations of games I got really into somewhat recently:
- Hades
- Slay the Spire
To me they are basically perfect.
I personally like Origins better but I think Legends is almost certainly a better game. Never experienced the multiplayer in either of them though
You should definitely play Origins. It's in my top 3 of 2d platformers. It's AMAZING
1. Sekiro
(The perfectly crafted game from FromSoft)
2. Yakuza 0
(This game has an amazing emotional story and so much great content.)
3. Persona 5 Royal
(I like Persona 3 more but unfortunately we don't have a definitive version with all the content in it. But you will understand why I listed P5R once you played it.)
4. GOD HAND
(You know the person who was responsible for Resident Evil 1 & 4? He made a Beat 'em up game which is to this day one of the most fun games ever.)
5. Forbidden Siren 2
(This is how you use an innovative idea and turn it into an great atmospheric survival horror game.)
6. Fatal Frame 2
(Very very atmospheric horror game in which you fight ghosts by taking photos of them.)
7. The Talos Principle
(You like Portal?! Than this game is an instant buy!)
8. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
(The perfect stealth game with a high fun factor.)
9. Hitman Blood Money
(Stealth, changing outfits to disguise yourself, endless opportunities to approach your traget and a lot of fun figuring out every level.)
10. Tony Hawk's Underground 2
(Even if you're not interested in skating this game will be such a fun experience.)
I'm still thinking Shadow of the Colossus is the most perfect game i've played
you earned my sub when u mentioned the lost crown 👌
I'd include Titanfall 2 as the greatest multiplayer FPS of all time. Held back only by its release date right in between BF1 and Cod infinite warfare.
celeste :3
titan fall 2
@@itsfy_ yes, thank you

what are you referring to?
Nice video, a bunch of Gems in this video
just objectively name this best cartoon platformer games. OOT the only real legitimate mention.
Ghost. Of. TSUSHIMA
Yeah like I said I will eventually play the original trilogy
Will the games I recommended be in the video ? Let’s see !
Half-Life 2 would be a great game to include in the next video, as it is (in my opinion) a perfect example on how to create an amazing sequel
Persona 5 is completely PERFECT, I would say Earthbound and Yoshi's Island is almost a perfect game.
Witcher 3 is an almost perfect game. The world and storytelling are amazing but, the food mechanic leaves alot to be desired. You can shoot fire out of your hand but cant cook your raw food...
The best N64 game is Starfox 64
I personally don't like a lot of the games here but your reasoning is sound and thoughtful. Nice to see videos like this from young gamers instead of the typical trendy brain rot.
Hotline Miami 1 and 2. And GTA4. I had others but you already mentioned them lol
I don't know if you know the definition of the game, but for something to be a game it has to be:
A. Interactive
and
B. Challenging
Is paint a game?
As games got more popular they just became easier and much more casual.
the stardew valley addiction is so dangerous
every couple months, it will take over my life and refuse to give it back
anyway, great vid as always
Im playing god of war 2018 right now for first time. Have been loving it
I’m gonna call it once you play ultrakill it’s probably going on part 3 Amazing game
STARFOX 64
For any Playstation heads, you need to list little big planet. An absolute masterpiece of a game, and the only game I've enjoyed on my ps3 (aside from this one EA racing game).
M64 is why I didn’t take pt.1 seriously
I saw portal 2 was on your list, definitely play that if you liked the first one. Its literally like one million times better than the first game, which I didn’t even know possible lol
A game I'm shocked hasnt been mentioned yet is The Last of Us 1 or 2. If you havent played it, it's a MUST play. Changed the course of gaming forever when it came out.
Wyvrn: Starts describing what a perfect game is
Also Wyvrn: Donkey Kong 2 Save System Sucks!
Personally I think ULTRAKILL belongs in this list. I might be biased but I can't think of anything outright bad with the game, other than the community and time between updates but those should be separated from the game itself
my picks:
Undertale
metroid: fusion
metroid dread
tloz: the minish cap
untitled goose game
I haven’t watched the video yet and I probably won’t after seeing the list of games lmaoo
I agree to both videos in many ways, but maybe sum up franchises like Donkey Kong Country. Had to check, this isn't a 1st April dated video at the beginning xD
Missing following games:
Subnautica (closest to perfect for a singleplayer survival game)
Elden Ring (closest for perfect for Openworld AND Combat, it literally killed all other action rpgs for me.. just cut the part about narrative xD)
Mass Effect Trilogy.
Animal Well graphics inspired by Atari 2600. Umh, yueess?
I don't like doom eternal, not because its bad , just because there is a better game that literally no one talks about witch is serious sam 3
Yeah one of the main reasons I didn’t finish sea of stars was because of the collectibles
Monster Hunter World/Iceborne is one of the, if not the, best game ever made
Literally everything about the visuals, environments, gameplay, enemies/bosses, UI, atmosphere etc... are all geared towards pure adventure
My goat
My only problem with Lethal Company is my friends got tired of playing it before I did
Super Mario Bros Wonder and Pizza Tower along with Gravity Circuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy trinity of 2023 11/10 2D Platformer video game perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For me it's
Final fantasy X
Oblivion
Talos principle 2
Xenoblade chronicles 3 (but also all of them)
RE4
Wii sports?
Coulda pick something like a real game?
Maybe Dragon Age Origins?
Idk so many to choose from but you picked a freaking ware game
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, I don't have anything else to say.
And also very importantly, it did NOT overstay its welcome, not too long, but also not too short.
please play blasphemous 2, if you love hollow knight you can't dislike this game. And for a video game music fan like you the ost if my favourite!
I own it, so it's in the backlog
The Last of Us is definitely a contender :)
Play nine sols brotha, basically 2d seikiro
@@CarlosDiaz-fs6cv Thanks, I'll definitely play it in the future, do you know any other games similar to Sekiro? I've already played the obvious ones like Rise of the Ronin, Wo Long, Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh 1 and 2.

NieR: Automata’s soundtrack absolutely crushes Galaxy’s soundtrack
Streets of Rage 1&2, Sonic 3&K and Timesplitters 2. Those are the greatest soundtracks imo.
Definitely missing Animal Crossing New Leaf here as well as Final Fantasy Tactics.
It's wild how many people HATE that Nintendo makes so many amazing games. I love great games, not Nintendo directly, but I do play my switch still and haven't touched my PS5 since GoW Ragnarok released. I just don't get why that is an issue to so many people.
Disco Elysium
