    Rise of Flight was my favorite game and still is high on my list as it allows multiple people to use the same plane unlike IL2 Flying Circus.

    Nice work there, Taff! What an evolution the Albatros line was from the Eindecker series!

    Sweet, welcome back to rise of flight taff, it's been a while since you took to the sky in the old Albatros D.II, so that's another fantastic treat. It's great to see you giving the spotlight back on the old great war, if your interested in showing more great war content then all I can say is everyone is looking forward to it. Great performance over the hell that is no-man's land, horrific, unforgiving and lethal is the fighting over the western front but if the fog of war smiles on you, you've got to be grateful for that. Great job with taking on the enemy and coming home safe, the Kaiser will be pleased I'm sure. Great episode, loved it.. hope to see more rise of flight in the future, but till then, stay safe and happy gaming mate 👏👍

    Wings didn't get shot off planes so easily. The developer added this crazy feature because some people complained that it was too hard to shoot down the enemy. It shouldn't be easy. There are damage mods to fix this, otherwise it's rather ridiculous when every plane goes down with smashed wings from a short burst.

    It's great to see you back in RoF. It's what got me into subscribing to your channel. You make it look so effortless when, in fact, l find it quite challenging. More please, much more...

    Since there were 3 friendly balloons to protect, I wonder if you should have flown close to all three in order to complete the primary objective. Nice to see you back in the air.

    It's so cool to see you back in the kites! And I love Albatrosses or Albatri or how ever you wanna call it. Especially the DV, might not be the best plane on paper, but all the soft factors combined make it easily my favourite plane in those simulators. It's so easy to fly, so stable, at least in the early years has the advantage on fire power, you can snap it around on a dime without stalling, . Most planes in the game try to murder the pilot all the time, not the Albatross. In those things I feel safe until I get pounced by Camels. But Nieports, Spads, Se5's, Pubs and Sop triplanes are so much less scary in one of those. But one on one there is not much to fear in Albatross, except the other pilot is really good or I am acting stupid. Probably the only plane in all WW1 and WW2 sims, where I say such cocky things. Usually those games are just death simulators^^
    (Tipp: use all three gun sights, the middle one when the enemy is in front of you and goes straight, when they turn use the one on the outside of the turn, the right one for a left turn, the left for a right, and aim a bit in front, this offset means you lead with that gun and the other one will hit a bit short, so if you aim for the engine you might also hit the pilot, at least that was what I was told, but any way it works wonders)

    The beatifull Albatros full of curvaliscious lines!! Could those airmen (airforces) not make a plan for parachutes??😭

    • @davidwright7193
      @davidwright7193 24 дні тому +3

      At the start of the war the existing parachutes were heavy static line deployed chutes that couldn’t be worn by a pilot. They were used on observation balloons where the parachute could be hung on the side of the basket and the observer wearing the harness still work. Tight packed light weight parachutes deployed with a rip chord were still in development at the end of the war.

    The funny thing about most of the really bad looking crashes, HISTORICALLY, they were only hitting the ground at 80mph max. Most were from 30 to 50. Still doesnt discount their bravery and insanity.

    Hey Taff! I've been getting more interested in flight simulators lately, could you please tell me the setup you're using for rise of flight? I'm on a laptop, my joystick is nothing special, and I hate using mouse/keyboard controls. I only recently found out that I can also get rudder pedals to go with a joystick but I'm not sure what seems best for a combat sim...

    • @Riccardo_Silva
      @Riccardo_Silva 24 дні тому

      Hi oldtimer, here's my sixpence: i use a very common thrustmaster joystick (quite good, tho) and, for the rudder, i use the pedals of my G29 driving wheel, with a Logitech GHub dedicated configuration. It works pretty well. Cheers mate!

    • @wrecklass
      @wrecklass 24 дні тому

      TBH, if you are starting out, get a joystick with twist control for yaw control. Then get rudder pedals once you know how much you like playing.

    • @rickrawlings6095
      @rickrawlings6095 21 день тому

      @wrecklass This is good advice and keep in mind that WWI planes needed a lot of rudder input to fly their best!

  • @cyberfutur5000
    @cyberfutur5000 24 дні тому

    Maybe the game wanted you to stay in the area for a certain time. Not sure how Rof does that, depends on the mode you play, I guess. But in WOFF and Falcon 4 etc patrols often have a minimum time in the area before you get the completion thing.

    • @timonsolus
      @timonsolus 24 дні тому

      Either that, or the game wanted Taff to fly over all 3 friendly balloons, not just 1 out of 3.

    Does this game run on a DCS setup. Or is it keyboard and mouse? If it is compatible with a Hotas I will give it a run.

    • @wrecklass
      @wrecklass 24 дні тому +1

      Should run fine with HOTAS. Be mindful that some early war planes have no throttle at all! 😅

      @wrecklass go to Google type translate set to Dutch type Fokker and press the speaker button

    • @DreadX10
      @DreadX10 18 днів тому

      @@PackHunterGD Fok-ker is what is said but to be honest, it sounds a bit like foe-ker the way google translate pronounces it. The first 'k' should be harder and there should not be a rolling 'r' the way google does it. English speakers should just pronounce it as "Focker".
