Tell me your favourite Dad Joke 💜
I’ve added my favourite Pirate Dad Joke in the video 😂
@GiveMeYourRaccoons no they're mine >:(
Where do you learn to make a banana split? Sundae school.
What is a pirate's favorite letter? You might guess R, but everyone knows a pirate's first love is the C!
Did you know that if you boil a clown you get a laughing stock?
Either way it'll still taste funny
Have you been to the pub on the moon?
I wouldn’t recommend it, there’s no atmosphere.
The Addams family is based on the complete opposite of a classic stereotypical American family with includes a husband and wife loving each other
Really makes you think honestly
It’s the beauty of being based
Oh my God, you're right. No wonder I always wished I was an Addams because their parents actually LOVED each other!
I don't think anyone has roasted anything American this hard since the British burned down the OG White House in the War of 1812.
But yeah, I really wish there was more media exposure of having parent characters in shows and movies actually being in love, like "if you guys hate each other that much, why are you even still together?" or "if you guys hate each other that much, why did you get together in the first place?"
The Addams family is based on characters created by Charles Addams. So the nature of the family's all due to him.
The person who just did a whole etymology lesson for trying to find a new term for "parent" and coming up with that Waluigi as a result. They reek of enby chaos and I love it!
I thought of something that makes it make even more sense. When babies cry they say waaa and that is a noise that Waluigi makes. It was there the whole time
As a mario kart waluigi main I am completely fine with this outcome
Turns out the bible got it wrong
The first human was never Adam
It has always been waluigi
ALL HAIL WALUIGI THE ETERNAL
Yes.
i saw this post on tumblr before this. BUT I LOVE IT
No joke though, "wawa" is an excellent non-gender-specific term for a parent.
"Yeah, that's my wawa, they're picking me up from school today."
"Godammit, why is my wawa always late?"
"Welp, guess wawa decided to get drunk on the couch and forget I needed a ride home again. Time to walk home in the rain..."
...I didn't have the best childhood.
Oof. You need a hug Admin?
ya good?
My wawa needs to pick me up from Wawa

I'll be honest when I first read, "If you're a legal adult with a gender identity, I'm embarrassed for you." I thought we were just being mocked by an agender teenager.

It took me a reread to realize it was a TERF 😭

plot twist: that person is actually agender but hasn't realised it yet
Haha, that would've made it so much better.
Here's a bonus: Waluigi's color palette is the non-binary flag.

"i dropped my phone right on my gender" lmfao OT you're so fucking cute. You laugh at everything and you're a fantastic ally and it doesn't feel forced or something just to be nice. you're genuinely funny and kind. its so natural.
Person who wrote an entire essay on phonetics for that Waluigi joke is hundreds of parallel universes ahead of us.
I feels so violated, like I was hit with three rick rolls at once, and a stick bug for good measure. Jesus I was so invested, I was so ready to hear the answer to all our problems..
To make it better, have you noticed what Waluigi wears? Black pants, purple hat and shirt, white gloves and yellow logo and buttons... He's the non-binary flag!
It’s probably a huge coincidence that the Enby flag (c. 2014) and Waluigi (c.2000) share very similar colours. It is a nice colour scheme, so there’s a possible reason for the coincidence.
I think another possible sound would probavly be s or z. The name could be "sos", "ses" or "sas".
Perhaps even "sus".
The full title would be "sussy baka youtube poop creator soooos saaas seeees sus sus sussy baka 42069"
@@Lilithksheh7723 i hope nintendo goes woke and makes waluigi an official nb icon.

Tim Riddle sounds like the main antagonist of a children’s show who appears in a puff of smoke and forces the protagonist to answer his riddles three otherwise they can’t cross through the emerald forest.
You're not wrong, but I'm partially annoyed that the picture that came into my head was the Riddler from the animated Batman series and I'm only partially annoyed because somehow that still fits.

The first thing that popped into my head was "Swiper, no swiping!" from Dora the Explorer.

As someone who studied phonetics, I really appreciate the last post and OT's confusion towards the International Phonetic Alphabet
As a Spanish person studying English phonetics at the moment, i aprecciate it as well lmao
As someone who's just a general language (especially pronounciation) nerd, I approve
I used to be able to read it fluently back when i was first learning english. I still wasnt able to pronounce it right tho
As another lingüistics enthusiast I also love it, except I find it weird to call a parent "wawa" since, ironically, wawa is the aymaran word for baby.
as a language enjoyer, I agree
"Why should you never become a pirate? It's expensive, it'll cost you an arm and a leg!"

‘Were gathered here today in loving memorie of we would like to ask their grandkids to give a speech about their relationship with them.’ ‘Wel alrrrright matey, me they were me one, oh yes they were. Always singing along to me shanties, on key, not once, but always shouting like there was no tomorrow…etc’. Now imagine this being said on a normal funeral, by someone dressed up as a pirate. Elizabeth the Vampire Slayer?
Bill for William just made me stop thinking about how people came up with nicknames for names.
The way I low-key dress like a pirate now that is cold enough to layer is how Captain Hook from OUAT dreses. Black leather jacket, black pants, a tasteful middle length necklace and adventurer looking boots.

Iiiiiiiiii love that

I'd say the only time it'd be problematic to dress as a pirate would be when you're at a funeral of a person killed by pirates
Unless the person who was killed was also a pirate
Or the other pirates are there in solidarity with the family
wdym? That's the absolute most appropriate time possible, worst case scenario they kick you out and you don't have to deal with it anymore, best case scenario you're ready to avenge your fallen comrade
This thread is so based for pirates it should have a large sea-cave shaped like a skull
Okay, I was paying VERY close attention to the language/how babies learn to speak lecture thing since I have a non-binary character with kids and wanted to find some ideas. The end hit me like a truck lol 😂
if ur character has a "la" sound in their name, lala could work. some of the kids i worked with that were still developing speech-wise would call me "dee-lala"
4:01- "I dropped my phone right on my gender" is such a bizzarre, out-of-context quote that I love it xD
OT has a lot of out of context quote that I love.
Fun fact: Dicky for Richard came from people randomly rhyming people's nicknames, so Ricky = Dicky, Molly = Polly, etc.
Is this also where Bill as a short version of William came from?

"I dropped my phone on my gender" is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I'm dying🤣
The post with gender neutral parent names got me a bit teary-eyed when the OP said they’d want to be called Wawa since that’s what I started calling my grandmother since I could start making noises
Before I was born, she always said she’d want to be called “Grandy” and wouldn’t accept anything else, but the moment I called her Wawa she almost completely dropped wanting to be called Grandy and the rest of my cousins started calling her the same
I miss her every day
Aw thats so frickin cute😖😖
This is the cutest thing I’ve ever heard.
As an internet gramma once said, "I can choose all I want, but whatever the oldest grandbaby says, that will be my name"
One of my grandmothers was first introduced to me as being me "Granny." So that was what I called her. No one ever corrected me, and I was never told that she had initially disliked it (but in time came to appreciate it), so I never stopped calling her Granny. My older brother quickly switched, as did the rest of the family, and it was pretty solidly set by the time my younger brother was born. When she died, it was my older brother's insistence that all instances of "grandma" or "grandmother" referring to her in the funeral be changed to "Granny," because otherwise it felt like her identity was being removed.
Awww, that’s so sweet! I love this!
Let me tell you, life ain't easy when you're Assigned Orb At Birth. It's disquieting to think of what your body communicates to society, as most people will look right through you. Very often you're seen only as a face in the crowd.
Sounds great
I see what you did there.
So a good friend of mine is non-binary, and I have a very flirty personality (and I find them kinda attractive). So naturally, I simply *had* to find a gender neutral version of "mommy" since I couldn't just call them that (even if many of their friends already do). So now I call them "Ren" or "Renny" as a nickname instead!

I didn't realize how hard I needed to hear a man so easily support me and the world in simply existing comfortably as whatever we wake up being every day. Hearing a male person say such supportive things without following it up by "BUT on the other hand...". I LOVE that you aren't playing devils advocate. I love that you're just so GREAT at being so AMAZING with just loving that people exist as they are AND THAT ITS SO STUPID THAT PEOPLE CANT JUST GET ON BOARD WITH IT! You're just like, "Just do it. The Addams Family is the most functional TV family ever. Wednesday was my goth role model, and I wish I could find someone who I could have a relationship with like the relationship that Morticia and Gomez share.
I mean, they were literally created to criticize the TV Sitcom Family where they tried to look happy and wholesome to their neighbors but the alcoholic husband verbally (and implied physically) assaults his wife. "One of these days, *pow* right to the moon" and all that shit.
They only get deemed "dysfunctional" because they aren't "normal" by the standards of American Upper-Class Conservativism.

I will make it easy a hoodie is a sweater with a hood that zips up, a Pullover is a sweater that you pull over your head to put on
In German, we practically call every long-sleeved shirt a pullover (or "Pulli" for short). The other words are used as well, but pullover is the umbrella term.
same for Luxemburgisch (but we almost "swallow" the u and stretch the o) and French (short: "pull" [pyl])
Might be a regional thing, but pu-llovers always refer to thicker cloth, while a long sleeved thin shirt is just a shirt and t-shirt, well, T-Shirt. The term hoodie has also become pretty common, maybe even replaced, the Kapuzen-Pullover (hood-pullover), leaving Pullover only as hoodies without a hood.
We also have a name for the abomination that is a Pullover without sleeves, Pollunder, which has to look like an old carpet, otherwise it's not a real Pollunder.
@@Opharg I agree on that, don't think it is that regional.

separate restrooms make no sense on any level. People cite: privacy, cleanliness differences, and safety. These are invalid cocnerns because: Privacy: Solution: toilets are in stalls. Urinals are unnecessary because everyone who stands to pee, stands to pee in regular toilets at home, but if urinals are insisted upon, they too can have stalls put around them. No one stands at the bathroom sink undressed in a public bathroom. Cleanliness: men's rooms are often far less clean than women's rooms. Solution: just uphold the same cleanliness standards that are in women's restrooms, in "everyone" restrooms and everyone's happy. Safety: People will sometimes claim that women will be unsafe in general-use restrooms. Critique and solution: This is a fear without basis, because public restrooms are a terrible place to try to attack someone without discovery, due to high risk of discovery. Public restrooms that have double the number of people coming in and out, are even less of a good place to assault someone. Additionally, if someone wishes to attack a woman in a public restroom, will a sign on the door saying "women" actually stop them? She's safe in there, but not safe in a restroom with a sign saying "women"? Because perpetrators will disregard all laws, but are inhibited by the sign on the door, that going into the "wrong" restroom is a no-no? It makes no sense in any direction to fear women's safety in public restrooms. The more people going in and out of them, the more public it is, and thus the safer.
I see 2 reasons: 1) women's toilets have trash cans for sanitary products, it's a little thing that needs regular upkeep (can be an issue for trans people I guess) and 2) the amount of public sax people would have in clubs, it's a thin line of 'you shouldn't be here' and 'do I call someone on that or mind my own business'.
Also I think it's disrespectful to dismiss someone's sense of privacy that much. Single restrooms instead of stalls are always more comfortable, as if being half naked and only separated with a slab of plastic from other people wasn't bad enough
Urinals actually help keep the toilet bowl clean. I know a fellow gay couple who were building a house. The bathrooms had both a urinal and a toilet.
Also, how would you feel if every time you sat down on the toilet, you had to worry about your genitals rubbing in the rim of the bowl?
Also Also: If something goes wrong while you're peeing, a urinal will catch it. Even sitting to pee, there's still a risk of a bent stream shooting out between the seat and the rim. This ain't a garden hose that guys are sporting, it's flesh, and flesh can stick together. Sometimes, the stream ends up coming out sideways. Another bad one is when it goes Y-shaped and you suddenly find yourself peeing in 2 directions at once.
So yeah, urinals in their own enclosure would be ideal.
@oriachick just add the little trash cans to the joint restroom. They aren't that much more hassle in 1 large bathroom than in 1 slightly smaller bathroom.
The fact that people currently have sex in public bathrooms says that having separated bathrooms does not prevent this. Having a single bathroom is unlikely to make it worse as venue is a much more likely indicator of whether people will have sex in bathrooms than number or style of bathrooms. The 'line' instead becomes "you shouldn't be doing that in public" and the question remains the same. Just because it's a joint restroom doesn't mean you can't still report then for what they're doing if they're doing something inappropriate.
Single room bathrooms are ideal for comfort but most decently sized public venues don't have the space for the number they would need and thus stalls have been and will likely remain the go to for public bathrooms be they appear or joint. No one is dismissing peoples sense of privacy just pointing out that everything private is generally already behind a closed stall door regardless of who is in the bathroom and having a joint bathroom does not change this.
Admittedly whether or not we ever get joint bathrooms I have always thought that stalls did not need a 2 foot gap at the bottom, an inch gap at the hinges, and a several foot gap at the top. We need to fix that. That's how you make bathrooms more private because personally I don't care that the stranger walking past the half useless door also has a vagina I don't want them seeing mine anymore than I would want a stranger with a penis seeing it.
This is something I've never understood about the whole "bathroom argument" where people argue women will be safer in women's only bathrooms. Like, if someone really wants to attack a women, how is a fucking sign gonna stop them?
Also, isn't it kinda concerning that there is this assumed idea that men will just start attacking women if they share a bathroom? And the blame is kinda put on women to protect themselves from men by using a separate restroom?
I personally like separate small bathrooms better or at least stalls that are fully enclosed. If double the people are coming in and out my issues with pooping in public doubles lol. Otherwise I have no issues with this.
11:17 in Australia, we spell it ‘mum’, so the combination of ‘dum’ would turn into ‘mud’. Neither very pleasant lol.
I Got really happy yesterday
Context: I'm a masc presenting enby and my school doesn't have gender neutral toilets and since most people know me as a girl I use the girls toilets
So basically I walk into the girls toilets and this yr7 (first year/11 years old) looks me up and down clearly confused, I got into a stall she turns to her friends and whispers just loud enough so that I hear "is this a unisex toilet" she then opens the door to check the sign on the door which I think just confused her more so I leave the stall and just walk out as if nothing happened
omfg i wish for that but reverse. I wanna walk into the boys bathroom and someone is just like: "yo is...is that a chick?"
bro casual gender affirmation is the best, one time i was standing outside the toilets (men and womens right next to each other) and trying to figure out whether i passed enough to use the mens. i hadn't realized that the men's was locked, but this dude came out of it while i was standing there, nodded and handed the door over to me before leaving. this was more than a year ago and i am still riding on that high it was great
"dom" going completely over OT's head. OT is so precious and innocent at times. 💖

The fact that the last post used legitimate phonetic arguments to make a joke is one of the reasons I love the internet.
The build up made it even better
me at the start: oh this is a nice idea :D i'd like to be a parent someday
me at the end: i have been tricked, befuddled and quite possibly bamboozled
In the webcomic 'Fluidium' everyone is essentially non-binary(well, it's more complicated than that, but more or less) and they refer to parents as 'Moddy'.
Well, that's going on my list

Lol, watching this again made me realize: I don’t like having any specific gender, and would rather be an amorphous blob, and I also really hate having bathrooms - to clean
Only 30 seconds in, but about the Voldemort name joke: I once went on Wikipedia and changed "Voldemort" to "Voldemint" on the "books overview" page (in honor of "My Immortal" fanfiction majesticness). It stayed that way for 9 whole hours before someone fixed it. I don't think you can just log in and change stuff on Wikipedia anymore. Wonder why?
Because people kept pulling pranks like that on pages focused on scientific information

Since OT hasn’t covered this sub in a while and it makes me really happy (cause enby) ima tell a short version of my many years of coming out story.
1. My gay friend kept asking me if I was gay ( when I was straight at the time)
2. I got stuck in lockdown and watched a lot of gay tik toks and thought I was bi
3. Told said gay friend I was bi along with several others
4. Came out as enby farther into lockdown and was also accepted
5. Hung out with gay friends and came out as ace and pan-romantic (romantically attracted to all genders)
6. Had another gay friend introduce omnisexuality (attracted to all genders but with a preference) to me
7. Came out as a *Non-Binary, Asexual, Omniromanitc*, individual and am living my best life coming out to more and more people each day.
Thank you OT, you are a huge inspiration to a young gay like myself.💜
It's hard to find out who you are but the result feels so good. I'm proud of you for going on that journey and I wish you the happiest future possible!
Sincerely Your friendly neighborhood Enby, Abrosexual, Poly, Demiromantic
It is so fascinating to me how many people started questioning in quarantine. When we all had some time to get to know ourselves. I have known I wasn't a gril for years but finding the non-binary community only happened duiring quarantine for me.
@@TheFiona2222 I didn't realize I was bi during quarantine, at least, I don't think I did. Maybe I did figure it out then, but I knew I had bisexual tendencies way before then. But at some point I figured out what I think I am, and quarantine gives you lots of time to think. That's probably why so many people came out because they were at home, so could say it in their house without others listening(some anyway, others like me, was stuck with my family, and others still might have thin walls that the neighbors can hear through), and was able to know themselves more.
That's neat and confusing! So many people, including myself have a hard time grasping how much thinking and changing assumed identities it takes to truly get comfortable with your identity. I wish you luck on finding whatever identity makes the most sense to you, doesn't hurt anyone else, and something you will be comfortable to some day stick with. Even if it's gender-fluid and it changes on an often basis, you will at least know your pattern/identity.

I actually have that "Tim Riddle" problem in real life. People just don't seem to be able to spell my dead name correctly and I honestly don't know whether I should be correcting them or not, because that actually isn't even my name anymore but I still don't want to have to read the increasingly ridiculous ways people manage to misspell it on official forms...
Your name is Merlin? Such a beautiful name! (Idk if it's your current name or your dead name, so if I'm dead naming you I'm so sorry, but your name is just beautiful)
Oh god I did this. I was getting her name wrong for like a year and she didn't say anything until like week before she came out.
On the plus side now I can't deadname her because I honestly can't remember which was which.
I get this with my surname, which i picked, and unfortunately love to death. They always plug in an extra L xD
I don't have a deadname but people misspell "Mikey" and "Mickey" which is made worse by the fact that I can do a killer Mickeydamouse impression

As a linguistics student, I really enjoyed the explanation of that one person at the end. I have read about a couple that used "Soso" (they were a lesbian couple and one of their names started with "so"), which I quite like. You could also do something like "Nana", though I guess it might sound feminine because it's similar to "nanny". In another conversation about this exact topic, we also brought up another funny combination of mum and dad: mad xD.
My husband’s side of the family is from France where the standard informal aunt/uncle words are tata and tonton.
When learning to speak my kids would call them “taton” (either individually or collectively) and I always thought that would be an amazing non-binary aunt/uncle name.
I get tata, because aunt is tante in french, but do you know where the T in tonton comes from? Is from like "t'oncle" for "your uncle"? (my knowledge of French is very basic)
@@badlifechoices6771 Probably abbreviations of both “ta tante” (your aunt) = tata, “ton oncle” (your uncle) = tonton, with the addition of the second T because Tonon doesn’t flow (especially with soft French Ns)

Hi, please don't feel obligated to reply to this, but I am not familiar with it/its as pronouns for a person. I wonder if you could possibly elaborate for me as to what drew you to claim these pronouns, what you like about them, and what they offer that your other pronouns don't?
If you do choose to reply to this, then thank you very much for your time and expertise.
Whether you do or not, have a great day.
@@saltypork101 ah of course I don’t mind !!
Before I say what led me too decide I wanted it/it’s pronouns too be used for me please just remember that everyone’s different and so how I decided I liked those prns will be different too someone else who uses the same prns !!
For a bit of backstory as it’s necessary, my friends and I are all somewhere on the lgbt community with around 1 cis/straight ally and another who we’re not sure about. Before we all came out too each other we often would call each other “it” as a joke. People at my school would use “it” too refer too me as an insult/joke and say stuff like “oh god it’s talking”
As I lived on with being called “it” when being referred too as well as my pronouns at the time just being they/them I finally realised why everyone else got mad and I didn’t was because I was a-okay with someone referring to me as that !! I didn’t think of myself as a “normal person” because of many issues I have and it helped a lot with that pronoun being used for me. And even if people don’t use that pronouns for me- I still have they/them and he/him as an option so if someone is uncomfortable too think of me as an object they can always use one of my other ones !!
I also tend too say I am a skin suit and I dunno… it/it’s pronouns seemed too fit well with me but so do they/them and he/him however, she/her or xe/xem do not fit FOR ME- for someone else I’m sure they are a lovely set but not for me ^^
I hope this helps ❤️❤️ /p
yooo you use it/its too? Ive never really seen someone else that wants to be called it :D

I’ll have to inform my feline children that my new parental title is Waluigi. They probably won’t pick up on it since they’re cats, but I do refuse to be called anything other than “Wawa” “Wally” or “Waluigi” on the off chance that they start speaking.
The gender neutral equivalent of "mom" or "dad" that I've heard of is "ren," short for paRENt, but hearing that the letter R is hard for a lot of babies just learning to speak (if that's true) makes me wonder if that will ever become common practice.
wen
Or "an" short for "parANt". I know it's not supposed to be spelled or pronounced that way, but variety is the spice of life and as such regional variations of language (aka accents) should be respected rather than reproached.
