man it's been a while since i saw a rapidotrains video and I've recently started getting back into trains but mainly old passenger trains and this just looks fantastic.
I take the Corridor train twice a month. That's 100% accurate of Brockville in the 1980s - 2000s. The only thing that's different is the Brockville station now has the red brick siding. My Manor car came in, it's very nice. I'm just short of the Chateau Car, any chance Rapido will reproduce it again?
It's a shame that baggage-dorms have been neglected for so long, glad you guys saw the need for them! I'm still waiting for good smoothside baggage-dorms for my Panama Limited and City of New Orleans. That and Illinois Central Pullman observations. The current trains look odd with the amalgamation of good Rapido and Walthers cars with dated Rivarossi and IHC PRR-based foobies (a square observation car, like why, why!).
Great as always but I had quite a difficult time concentrating (at the start of the video) with that Cyberman t-shirt ! Nice baggage and sleeper. The layout is coming along nicely. Keep the spirit Jason!
Jason, thank you so much for bringing these cars back. These are the last 2 cars my wife and I need for our Canadian, we slept in the Brock Manor car during our trip. Now, I need to find a way to run the train (my layout is small and the train would be chasing itself). BTW, Dalya did a great job helping you with the video.
A big part of model railroading is recreating memories, and we're delighted to be able to help. And it sounds like you might need a bigger basement to run your Canadian!
Hmmm, I wonder how we get Jason to need Espee Passenger equipment. The Daylight Trains need this kind of treatment. Especially the Shasta (never done on plastic).
Well 2 more cars closer to a full VIA 1980 Canadian. I crapped the bed and missed out on the full Canadian set, and now slowly am building it up. Bye bye Walthers Baggage car. Got a few back when VIA rail was actually selling them on their website, others with the reissues or eBay. Now I’ll have baggage, 2 coaches, 3 Skyline (anyone want to buy a brass one with no interior...lol) Diner, Chateau, 2 Manors, and Park.
@ 2:29 "Um, underbody of course is the incredible Rapido detail"...boom fact, boom fact, boom fact, boom fact, boom fact, boom fact, "I 'think' there's a shower in here". Jason, "you think" there's a shower in there!? Dude, you mumble about the metallurgical make up of the ticket punches that VIA conductors used on the Skeena in 1991 when you're dozing on the La-Z-Boy, and you "think" there's a shower in there??? Slippin' man, slippin'!
Love the attention detail by Rapido. I have a order for the Comet II cars that I'm looking forward to. Is it possible to share the painting process to get that metal finish.
pretty cool, I got my VIA cars on order, both VIA schemes. the dormitory section in the baggage car must've been really short lived cause they've been all baggage at least since the early 70's.
Ordering 2 of each even though I only need one of each-already have a complete set of the Canadian but it’s fun to hoard these beautiful Rapido products!
Any plans for HEP versions or PV variants of the Manor series? Of note, some of the amtrak cars are listed as being ex CBQ, if that is accurate will they be made in the future?
Jason those look incredible, nice job. Now can you do the ATSF San Diegan with the Pendulum car? PLeeeaaasseee. They would like nice behind my nice new Rapido PA's. :)
Nice layout! Yep. That is Brockville alright.
It's the Brockvilliest Brockville that ever Brockvilled in HO scale!
Super nice. Railroad is looking great.
Thank you!
man it's been a while since i saw a rapidotrains video and I've recently started getting back into trains but mainly old passenger trains and this just looks fantastic.
I'll definitely be grabbing one or two of the baggage dorms. Any chance for a run of Chateau sleepers? I need a few for my mid 90's Ocean consist.
Great! We'll be considering the Chateau sleepers for a future release.
“I need these for my layout, that’s why we’re making them”
This is how you know Rapido is a company you can believe in
We're all modellers here! 😄
@@rapidotrains good!
can't wait to receive my 3 manor sleepers and 1 baggage dorm
Great! These will be ready for production soon!

We plan on running all the Budd cars again at some point!
Looks great, will order, but I'm just here to give Dalya a shout out on her professional grade camera work.
She's a natural!

We're kicking all of these ideas around in our meetings. So many passenger cars, so little time!
It's 2024 now, and I want to buy one for my Dad, but your website shows no availability any more. What is a good son to do?
We're sold our now since the 2022 release, but your best option would be to check with dealers and online retailers for availability.
I placed my order last month
Awesome! We appreciate your business.
These coaches are very well done, Rapido produces the very best well detailed ho scale passenger cars.
Thanks for the support!
Awesome, can't wait to get mine this fall ! Thanks for sharing.
finally a baggage dorm for my blackwolf mountain business cars!@ wooot. Epic Layout Jason!
Thank you!
Great as always but I had quite a difficult time concentrating (at the start of the video) with that Cyberman t-shirt ! Nice baggage and sleeper. The layout is coming along nicely. Keep the spirit Jason!
Thanks! Jason has the best shirts.

That's Jason in a nutshell.
Basically!
How many people could sleep in the dormitory portion of the car? Were they all in the one room together?
The dorm cars slept about 15 crew in bunk beds installed length wise to the car. Interior photos of these are hard to find.
Great layout and cars! Makes you want to visit Brockville in person...almost.
Brockville is where it's at!
Great job with the camera Dalya - hope you got suitably rewarded
She's a natural!
Is there a way to easily open these cars to get to the interior so I can put some Preiser figures in?
It'll be similar to our dining car. We have a video on this here: ua-cam.com/video/pLqY7cthu40/v-deo.html
Hmmm, I wonder how we get Jason to need Espee Passenger equipment. The Daylight Trains need this kind of treatment. Especially the Shasta (never done on plastic).
Jordan is working on it!
ACL and SAL! Are you kidding me? Thank you!
We don't kid, we're a very serious company!

Just bustin' your chops buddy. 😜And I even noticed the fold-up ironing board @ 3:32. 😁
Hey, it's hard to keep track of all those crazy details!
Love the attention detail by Rapido. I have a order for the Comet II cars that I'm looking forward to. Is it possible to share the painting process to get that metal finish.
Thanks! That might be a good subject for a future video.
Awesome cars and wow! Your layout is awesome! Don’t you need some Lackawanna Heavyweight cars?;) Great video and take care!
Thank you! You never know...Jason might scrap the whole Kingston Sub thing and focus on the Buffalo to Binghamton line...
@@rapidotrains Oh man! That would be the day I drop over! Lackawanna steam and passenger cars! Thats prime!
I really like Jason's t-shirt.
His t-shirt collection is epic!
That detail is insane keep it up!
Just like us!
Carriages are great ,layout is superb !
Thank you!
Everyone born after 2000...
“What’s a phone booth?”
Great looking cars. Via it is..
Phone booth? Is that where you put old phones?
@@rapidotrains lol just guys that turn into superman
Very nice 👌 👍 👏 😀 ☺
Thank you!
Definitely going to try and get one of these in Amtrak phase 1!
Hurry before they're gone!
I wonder how many models rapido made because Jason need them for his layout lol
Pretty much most of them!
A better question would be "How many models have Rapido made that Jason DIDN'T need for his layout?"
This is a good question. 😁
Starting to wonder the same thing.
Starting to?! Was there any doubt? ;)
Didn't Michael Stipe say "Don't go back to Brockville"?
Everyone should go back to Brockville.
@@rapidotrains And waste another year?
Will the cars for the n scale Canadian be available individually at some point? Also any new n scale items coming? Nice layout by the way.
It's possible, but not in the immediate future. It's all about demand! And we have a few N item in the pipeline that we'll be announcing soon!
@@rapidotrains Awesome! Cant wait to hear about them.
Rapido, rerelease the HO scale Budd coach, please! I have money and will take four coach cars.
New Budd coaches just announced!
Do you deliver in India?
We do!
Gotta say, the layout looks amazing but needs more of that weathering pazazz. Looks like the entire town was dropped from the sky yesterday!
But have you BEEN to Brockville? You can eat off of the streets!
Really like your updated layout! Got 2 sleepers and baggage car on order for VIA. Really like the Brookville sign
Awesome, and thank you!
Beautiful
Thanks!
Surprised you don't have a real phone booth in the lobby at Rapido HQ....
Next on the list! 😁
Nice car. I like all the details.
Thank you!
thanks for explaining what 4-4-5-1 means.
Jason is a walking VIA encyclopedia.
Wow that layout is really coming along nicely
It sure is! We love seeing the progress.
Great product I can’t wait for a new one
Thanks!
Those are some nice cars, indeed. Also Jason is using the video just to show off part his layout which is cool btw.
Every chance he gets!
hola buenas noche excelente video abrazo grande
Thanks!
Just saw your wonderful horizon coaches in the store
Great! They are getting rare.

The more the merrier!
Wow! If only N scale modelers had that good of interiors!
Our shrink ray is getting better and better.
Did CP, CN and VIA use these cars?
They were initially ordered by CP in the 50s and were inherited by VIA in 1978.
It s last year, they still not came to hobby shop or available yet, too long waiting
They'll be arriving in November!
Already in stock. Mine came in.
Every single time I look at these cars I always think of the movie silver streak. 😂
Hmmm.... Wonder why? 😆
Those cars look like the ones in the movie "Silver Streak".
Hmmm... I wonder why? 😁
I have an excellent Canadian Model, that only cost me CAD $10! It is in 2D however, and I'm not sure which scale it is.
We have one framed on the wall at the office. Also 2D. It is "sorta" scale.
hi Jason :) a lot of stuff has changed at your layout
It's hard for us all to keep up!
@@rapidotrains yes it is!
Definitely don't offer those phone booths as Rapido Bits. No one would buy 4 of those for their layout. Definitely not!
Your reverse psychology Jedi mind tricks won't work on us!
What ! No disk brakes?
Unfortunately, no. These were tooled before we figured out how to do that...
Any plans for HEP versions or PV variants of the Manor series?
Of note, some of the amtrak cars are listed as being ex CBQ, if that is accurate will they be made in the future?
No HEP or PV Budd cars in the works at the moment, but we might have some new Burlington stuff coming in the future!
This is smart if you need free model trains just own the model train company
Everyone should start a model train company, as long as you make stuff for Jason's layout! 😆
yea think the janitor of the office had nothing to do yeap who did he think he was anyways
laugh
He thinks he's a big shot.... 😁

Thanks! They certainly would look nice behind a PA...so many potential projects, so little time...
You should have used this as an excuse to finally make figurines of yourself.
So far we're only able to shrink Jason down to G scale without risking a nuclear chain reaction...
epic
Thank you!
