As you offered us to ask a question: I wanted to ask that i am really struggling to create a branding kit for my education and career consultancy. In terms of typography, brand colors, logo etc. Any free resources that i can read/watch to help me with this? Problem is I think in multiples lol I do bot get satisfied with one font or color set. I always feel maybe i can do better. And it turns out to be a different looking feed after every other two weeks.(Sigh)
Hi Sama! Thank you for your kind words and comments! What you're describing sounds a little bit like shiny object syndrome, and I guess it happens to all of us who want to create something. I would proceed as following: Give yourself enough time for inspiration, but make this a closed process. Then check in with the purpose of your brand and your core values. Then revise your target audience in depth. Check out your competitions of course. Create up to three kits that make you stand out, then interview people in your audience about it. Now, what's important here: Don't ask them: Do you like this? Ask them how it makes them feel. What it reminds them off? What they'd think about an account like yours if they'd randomly found it. Where they would expect to find an account like yours. Check if the answers fit your strategy, Lastly, you are allowed to add parts into your kit, if you're on youtube for example you will see that you will need a lot more fonts and maybe even colors. But you should always make sure the essence of your brand remains in tact. I hope this was a good pointer ;) Hope to see you around!
