Visited Sagamore a month ago. Total new appreciation for them. Picked up the DO, Meade, and Manhattan finish. OMG all great. Also, just hit my illustrious state government run PA Fine Wine & Good Spirits today. Snagged a Barrel #35, Seagrass (one of my fave ryes), 1792 Full Proof, and what I actually went for, New Riff 6yr 100% Malted Rye. That one blew me away. So delicious. Saw it showing up on PA shelves. You have to give your take on this $62 bad boy.
Glad you enjoyed the sagamore experience! I think I have a sample of the new riff 6yr malted rye it’s very good stuff for the price absolutely agree. To me though sagamore scratches the same itch and I always got a ton of sagamore bottles floating around lol

Bill - I've got a bone to pick with you - I tried to get a Sagamore Meade Cask finish bottle after your review and they had sold out already!! You did this to me my friend!!!!!! I love that Naranja finish and most of the others.
Haha my bad on having that review out a week late they sold through that in a heartbeat maybe lasted two weeks total go get an Albariño now. By the time my review hits it will be several weeks and it may be gone don’t want you getting heartbroken twice lol
Ill have to revisit Rare Breed, but first time i tried it, it had a sour note to it that I didn't care for. The price on Holladay stuff keeps going up. I wish the rickhouse proof would make it out this way.
Yeah craft usually isn’t cheap I would say Chattanooga is the only exception they are usually lower priced than others. Rare breed may not be for you turkey distillate is unique.
So I picked up a JDSBBP Ohio pick earlier this year. It was good but that banana was overpowering and made the sip seem unbalanced. Interesting this is the first jd bottle I was even able to pick up banana…🤷🏽♂️
The Spring 2024 Chattanooga BiB should be coming out pretty soon, shouldn't it? (You've had good experience with the Springs.) Do you get those pretty easily by you? When should we expect it to be out?
You would think but often they get delayed sometimes. And no I can’t get them in Pa I have a friend who gets them from TN for me. And I almost always prefer the spring profile over the fall the fall tends to have more malt flavor while the spring has less of it
Shelfer vs shelfer I slightly prefer the rye but the bourbon is always available in Pa the rye is still hard to come by so I picked the bourbon as more available but you could swap them out
Don’t drink from the bottle seriously if you’re using this for guests that’s just gross. I don’t want your backwash. I’ve left channels because they keep drinking from bottle. Just saying. Great list though. But please stop.
