Glad (but not really) that others are experiencing the cursor bug and the map crash bug. Along with the reload not working. With the UI pains its sad given how great the new map is. Ive noticed that the crash happens when i open the map post banish
Hunt Showdown's new era has a lot of good. The new map, graphics, and wild target are massive wins, and I look forward to what being on a newer version of the engine opens up for future updates. The UI is indeed a mess. I don't think its the end of the world, but it could use a fair amount of cleaning up. My two biggest gripes with it are the bugs when it comes to equipping consumables from the loadout menu (Stacked consumables will not equip if you buy a premade loadout) and redundant menu options. One example I brought up with a friend is how there is a throwables tab, and then right beside that is a explosives and fire tab. There is only so many throwables in the game, they could literally get rid of the Explosives and Fire Throwables tab, and just keep it all under throwables. Same goes for how many weapon sub menus there are. It could stand to be condensed down a little bit. However despite the UI being a mess, this new era of Hunt I am loving.
Yeah I updated the drivers for my 2080 super and I've been lowering my settings. I don't know why it's been running like piss for me. I've never had issues with running hunt before.
@@HuntersLodgeOfficialThis may be obvious, but if you haven't - DLSS has been added, my frames were atrocious until I put it on balanced, which brought me right back to 100+ frames on very high. I did just upgrade to a 4070, but seeing as you're still using a RTX card it should significantly help regardless.
Sheesh, that's unlucky with the tab crashing. I've only run into that once during the playtime I had. I really hope that crytek will be on top of the ball with fixes. Also, my system should be able to run the game just fine. Most of the time, the game runs around 100-110 fps. But I drop to 30-40 frames in some areas. The woods lodge is the biggest offender. I managed to convince two friends to give this game a try, really hoping they will stick despite the rough start.
I'm overjoyed to hear that you're trying to bring more hunters into the fray! And I suppose I had some back luck in that regard with the bugs. I was dumbfounded 🤠 I see a patch by next week in our midst.
Ppl keep saying this is tailor made UI for the console ppl and as a person on ps5 myself the UI has issues I liked the little circle cursor better and I think there is update to have hunter and gear selection all on the same page now that’s great! 👍I really did not like the new change to that
Are there any Consol players who actually like the new UI? I’ve been playing the game for four years from PS4 to PS5, and the old UI was 5 times quicker, better looking, and more intuitive
@@HuntersLodgeOfficial I'm getting used to it so it ain't that bad for me. The amount of sub menus we have is what really bothers me, stuff is just hidden behind things so it can appear simple but it doesn't really work. I also find it hilarious that we have two ways to access the battlepass, I have no clue why but here we are lol
It’s a bummer to see everyone blame the UI issues on the console players. I know they explicitly said the changes were made for consoles. But I can say as an Xbox player with just under 2k hours in the game, I hate the new UI. The streaming service design takes up too much space while somehow also giving us less information. The loadout screen is a mess. The filter system is not intuitive in the slightest and I am glad to see they are changing it so we can actually see what we are equipping at the same time (something the old system did very well). There are several instances where I have to press an unnecessary number of buttons to do the simplest things. For example: in order to select the special ammo filter I have to press the right bumper 16 times! (I counted) And there is no ability to go left once, it is a very rudimentary system. As far as performance goes frame drops are a guarantee during combat with other players. Making combat unplayable unless you actively avoid the core pillar of the game. Consoles have always been a lower priority for Crytec and we receive buggy updates weeks after the PC version regularly. It’s a smaller player base so I understand that it is more important to focus their limited resources. I just wish the minority of the community wasn’t being blamed for an objectively terrible UI. I love this game and I will keep playing it despite these issues. I eagerly await some much needed updates.
I'm impressed you counted down to that detail! I appreciate you taking the time to investigate it yourself! I always love getting the console perspective, rare in the hunt community! Very good points to read, I share a lot of the same sentiment.
It's some of the little things that I just don't get. The old tier 2 and 3 hunters are pretty much gone as options, which means the ones I have are super rare now. Can't equip the same charm on multiple weapons; why? Weapon skins require loading an entirely new window just to chose them, and it's cluttered up with weapons I don't own yet just to influence me to buy them? Why? That doesn't make me want to buy them, it makes me NOT want to buy them. I can't think of a single good thing to say about the UI. The rest of the updates? Yes, perfect. I do get glitches in my rendering sometimes, the stability of the old engine is gone, but they're so minor and short lived that it's a minor issue.
Wish they can fix and optimize it within a week. Got a bit above amds recommended and i cant play near the mines without it lagging to 30 fps with low settings and far balanced. That should NOT be happening
I paid for a game and I deserve to play the game I paid for. The new launch is full of bugs. For example, the audio isn't great; some sounds aren't rendered for certain players. I couldn't hear a chicken coop just 1 meter away, while my teammate could, even though the rest of the game sounds were working fine. My teammate found a first aid kit he couldn't interact with, while I had no issues. Then there are the crashes. On top of that, there's the inconsistency of FPS for PC players, dropping from 144 FPS to 70 in some areas-it's disappointing. For most AMD users, the lighting is bugged, making some areas completely dark. The DLSS implementation for RTX 3000 seems like a joke, offering worse image quality without any improvements to FPS. The water renders at the lowest resolution with DLSS for RTX 3000. And then there's the UI, which spams the shop in your face every time you want to click on play-it's unusable on PC with keyboard and mouse. Loadouts don't work properly if you equip more than one tool of the same name. Inviting players is a pain. The Spanish translation is just plain weird, with terms that don't match the English version. Shortcuts don’t translate from one screen to another. You constantly have to jump from keyboard to mouse without much reason. The introduction of bullet drop is going to be strange, likely favoring snipers. They announced a lot of changes to the UI one day after the review bombing. They KNEW the UI was bad but decided not to change it until the negative reviews came out. I know you don't want to be incendiary about the state of the game, but Crytek seems to be a company that only listens when it gets bad reviews or loses money. The game was deeply broken before the update, and now it's broken in new ways. They're either incompetent or malicious. As consumers, we should hold them accountable for their mistakes. We're not being paid to be their beta testers; we're customers who paid for a game and skins. So yeah, forget them for laughing in our faces. They deserve every bad review and more. I hope they fix the game, but messing up this badly should have consequences.
@@theturnip1111 So what? I paid for something with a sticker price they decided to put on it. I bought it 4 years ago so I don't remember if it was on sale or not.
It's horrible crytek decided to push this update in such a broken state. The UI is horrendous but inoffensive to the actual gameplay. The bugs however, I can't believe someone play tested this and approved it, they should be ashamed. The amount of crashes and issues I've had in the past few days since the update's launch is comical. It makes it hard to enjoy the genuine good content this update has like the map and new boss. Honestly speaking they deserve the negative reviews on steam and I left one myself as well. I hope it doesn't take them too long to iron this out but they seem to care more about making money from the store than to ship out a stable update.
You've got some fair criticisms. I share some resentment myself. I also left a negative review for now, but we must remind ourselves to go back and update the reviews once updates have filled out and brought the game to a much more stable state.
Who would take a functional, 2D, prerendered menu over a 3D rendered menu? Bring back the old COD4/MW2 menus. Watching you tab between these different screens and seeing your character load in each time with wacky clothing physics and popping-in objects and textures is painful.
I don't mind people leaving genuine negative reviews with critiques. The most important thing that bothers me is going back and updating your review once things are improved. People never do that I feel.
