great Vvlogs guys......... you didn't show much of your visitors that you were with, quite looking forward to seeing chris and steve and smudge... see you next time
Thank you Tony and Jan for another wonderful vlog. Beautiful scenery and I always appreciate all the history you give us. Some places I have visited but never look at them from the view you get from the boat - you are so lucky to live this lifestyle. I am very jealous 😁🥰
Jan and Tony a great vlog with beautiful scenery. But it does seem like canals need a lot of maintenance good thing you both stay well informed and go with the flow
2,000+ miles is a lot to take care of especially as some structures are covered by things like preservation orders or are listed. It makes repairs costly and time consuming. Obviously we've just been incredibly unlucky these last 18 months that we've encountered closed lock flights, broken lift bridges and floods. But we're in no rush! Thankfully. 👍
Thankfully those occasions are rare, partly because there are volunteers who clear the canals, but it's disheartening that you do find areas that seem to be 'unloved.' Glad you enjoyed the history. Thank you ❤️
Glad to be aboard and see your canal travels. Yes, I was also wondering what those vertical lines painted on the bridge were. I think Teddy was wondering too. Aye, you started the video with your leather bush hat, eh! Beautiful country, thank you!
good see you cranking it on the cut and liveing the dream on the cut thanks four share on channel good see you working thje locks jan keesp up the great work thanks lee
Another great vlog! Was that a 360 degree camera you used to get some video of the back of the boat/canal? Loved it! Thanks for sharing your travels with us. It’s good to see The Boat back with AmyJo. 😊 PS: Don’t listen to the nay-sayers… we love you two.
Thanks Brigid ❤️. Yes, some shots going over the Burnley Mile were courtesy of an Insta 360 camera. We don't use it all the time, mainly using it for shots where a wide or unusual angle helps show where we are.
We use two music libraries. We list the tracks used towards the bottom of each video description and have a Spotify Playlist of some of the tracks used which you can find here: open.spotify.com/playlist/4HB1jCHLFpIskaTkQru2qA?si=XCTCGwmcQBOWEByFzTAOQA&pi=umZjNNTCQHCz7
its azazing what you can see from your boat its good .nice to see you both the weather is a mess one day its sunny then we get back to rubbish rain as a gardener it get me real down when i cant work im a 5 days a wek man but the way its going its not going
Ha! Welcome to England and the changing weather! It may slow us down, but only really bad wind would force us to stop and moor up. A bit of rain isn't so bad....at least the plants on our roof get watered! 👍
@@MakingNewMemories i can work if its very light but this week was real bad i had to ride home on me bike i got soaked right through i have one customer where i start at 7am it was ok when i got there but at 830am the heavens opened and yet yesterday was great real warm and sunny love the journeys you show i m a big fan
I think different parts of the country have different versions. My late mother always said "it looks grey over Bill's Mother" but I've heard other versions. All mean the same thing - it's gonna rain!!
The saying is "ITS BLACK OVER BILLS MOTHERS" Not grey....no one has ever said it's grey over bills mothers. You are allowed to say BLACK, it's just a colour....it's not racist to say the sky is black. Grow some!
It depends where you live. My late mother always said "it looks grey over Bill's Mothers" but different parts of the country say different things. And thank you for worrying about the size of my testicles, which I doubt will get any bigger now I'm in my 60's.

Hi Lyn. We weren't with AmyJo. Didn't meet up until we got down the bottom of the Wigan Flight (two vlogs away!)
From the south of England we’d often say looks like the heavens are gonna open again ( ref the rain comment) 😊
Ha! I think most areas have different sayings for how the weather looks.
My hubby originally Scottish but from North of England and I wife is from the south east.
❤️❤️
Always interesting traveling with you. Beauty and history.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you ❤️
Burnley is lovely 🥰
Loved it ❤️

Our pleasure Lesley! Sometimes you see the dark underbelly of a town or city and then the sights of hills and rolling countryside.

It's a real shame to see so much garbage floating in the canal near the end of the video. Thanks for the history!
