- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- We once again get to open the best bottle design in the game, Wild Turkey Master's Keep bourbon. This year's "Voyage" is a rum finished 10 year bourbon that we've been hearing some mixed reviews on, and it has us a little nervous to try it, especially with it costing $275.

Earlier this year I just decided I’m done hunting for bourbons. I still stock a few bottles that I enjoy (Rare Breed, Buffalo Trace, JDSB) but the idea of having dozens of bottles, costing hundreds of dollars, that I rarely drink has lost all its appeal.
I have some i want to try. I will passively look for them. I will pay MSRP. I will take advantage of friends visiting distilleries. I don't fear missing out and i am satisfied just living vicariously through the vloggers.
I am really hating the pricing of bourbon now. I don't know that I can spend $200+ on something to drink. I am a drinker, not a collector. Great content guys. Keep it up.
the boutique bourbon market has gone insane
There’s many great “drinking” bourbons that are available and reasonably priced. Then there’s the high margin / high profit “select” product that people aren’t buying so much for the bourbon, but for the opportunity to own something rare/expensive.
The distilleries are moving to a price point where it meets demand. Price goes up because people are willing to pay for the demand. Sky is the limit and the bubble is already beginning
Best bottle flip to date!
You could buy 3 redbreast lustau’s and have change leftover for this one bottle, and I wouldn’t trade one of those for any bottle of bourbon.
Glad that Sean was able to give this the correct grade. These 200+ bourbons especially for something only 10yrs old is insane. Might be really good but price appropriately.
The problem is even at newly inflated prices these bottles sell out almost instantly. A capitalist would say that’s even probably priced to low for the market.
@@brandon_sprague I guess that’s the problem is the newly inflated prices on bottles of bourbon, but it is also the fact that there are so many people hyping these bottles up when they shouldn’t. The companies are making less and less and putting them in special releases to hype up the fact that they have $175 bottle that they want to sell for 300. Coupled with the fact that everyone feels like they have to have it means they’re going to sell out. It’s great for capitalism but it’s not great for the average bourbon drinker. I just appreciate when someone says it’s a good bottle but probably not worth the price, the person who still wants it will still buy it, but it does give you a basis point of where you should or should not try to get it
Wow I love turkey
Campari has gotten so crazy with their pricing. I really wanted to buy this, but was unsure at that price for a rum finish. Not ashamed to say I pulled the trigger on the new CN-F though.
Thanks for the chance to win a bottle fellas!
My brother got it this weekend and we tried it. It was phenomenal! Very sweet.
Ok, I’m going to tell you guys something you can’t unsee. The lights make a smiley face on the neck of the bottle. I always love the reviews guys, you guys are good shit. You guys do a great job and you developed a passion into a profession, I’m so jealous. Keep it up boys
I bought one, even though it was so expensive. It's the first time I've ever seen a bottle in the wild, I've never even seen it at a bar in NC. I wish it were cheaper, but I'd definitely buy it again because it's one of the best looking bottles I own.
and value will keep increasing
@@leesmith3917 there's no value in these, at least on the secondary market.
@@Dewey_Andreas trust me there is . i bought the master keep one for 235 dollars sold it for 600.
I’ve been subscribed, sent this to the four people I can still tolerate listening to their feedback, watched the ads in their entirety twice. I’m not much more help then that. 11k views after 10hrs, you guys just might make it. Have a good one and keep up the great content.
I really hate the pricing in the bourbon market. It's really starting to irritate me when I want to try all sorts of different bottles, and it's just getting more and more expensive. Loving the content. Would love to visit Virtue whenever its up and running!!
It's the same way in the scotch market, the prices have gone up and up. Some that I want to try is way outside my budget, and when I see on Reddit, the prices was lower a few years back, but not so much now.
Sure, you can get some scotches and bourbons for pretty reasonable prices where I live, but most that are aged or sought after is pretty dang expensive. Some brands like The Macallan is very expensive all over, so you have to look for alternatives that is similar, but better priced.
And you can basically forget about getting Blanton's around here, never seen it turn up, but regular Buffalo Trace is usually not hard to find.
With tax, $300, not even 110 proof? No thank you.
Great review still, keep it up fellas!
I just can't imagine spending $275 on a bottle that I've never even tasted before. Only spent over $150 on a bottle once, and that was for a bottle of Stagg after I had already tried some for way too much money at a bar.
Been typing “ Bourbon Junkies Wild Turkey Voyage” for months on UA-cam! And today it finally happened! Popped up with the voyage review! Great review as always! Thank you guys.
Campari pricing has been getting so out of hand. Saw one in my local total wine for $280 and couldn’t bring myself to do it. Great review as always.
Love that you guys so often keep the value in you reviews/tastings.
I'd love to see y'all put this in a blind with RR13, a Russell's Pick, and WT101
101 12 yr
Comp vs the recent Bardstown Foursquare release would be good too.
Great reviews gents, keep up the excellent work and thoughtful reviews!
Appreciate the video review, guys. It's just become disheartening to see how expensive these bottles have become. (Bourbon overall, but especially limited bottles.) There are so many great bottles in the $70-$100 range that are available any day that it just doesn't make sense (in time and money) for a regular guy to hunt and buy these $250+ bottles.
I’ve heard so many different reviews on this. Glad y’all are reviewing it! I trust your reviews! Keep it up!
Crazy how the specialty bottles keep getting younger and more expensive.
this is a collector bottle flip. buy hold on for 1 year then boom price is 600 dollars
Saw this the other day and needed to know! Would never buy it myself, but always have loved Wild Turkey
Dan is the “Dude Perfect” of bottle flipping. I’ve seen some disgusting Sean flips though. Y’all need to make a compilation of epic bottle flips.
Pappy off the roof will go down in Whiskey UA-cam history
@@StonedSpagooter Right?! Did we just come up with a new segment of whiskeytube?
Y’all are the most entertaining bourbon channel out there. Love the video!
❤
These guys out here in the generosity of their hearts gonna send some lucky people some samples!
It finally happened... Bove can finally travel back to Texas and hang his hat high.
Hells yeah! Not in the budget… but a dream to try and the notes sound amazing! Thanks fellas! Always a pleasure!
Thanks for the honest review!
Love watching your reviews. Thanks guys. Keep up the great videos.
I've been watching for a year now, and I look forward to your videos every time. Love what you guys do
I love watching your guys channel. Especially the live streams.
Good timing! Have one coming tomorrow
Sean's face at that bottle flip was priceless, keep up the great reviews!
My first 29 years of life were spent living in southern Indiana. Moved to Massachusetts about a year ago and truly miss the bourbon selection and availability that Kentucky has to offer. Looking forward to visiting the area again so I can swing in to some of the distilleries…..And yes, from what I can see, that bottle is hands down my favorite to date.
Another great video, thanks guys. I’m a huge fan of Wild Turkey.
Great review... the prices of the specialty items just keep going up and they will not stop until the demand slows. Love the banter as usual.
Haven’t had it but would love to try it. Great video guys. Keep them coming!!! Got me intrigued with the ECBP reference
Haven’t tried a masters keep but seen those bottles and are some of the coolest glass in the industry
Love drinking vicariously through y’all! Keep it up boys
Commenting to support these guys these reviews are great
Never stop with the bottle flips
Great video. No luck finding allocated whiskey the past couple of years…lost my job and then win Total Wine lottery to purchase Michter’s 10 year and found Blanton’s Gold and E.H. Taylor straight Rye at my local grocery store for MSRP. Damn you bourbon gods!
Wild Turkey showing the future cost of special bottles. Enjoy the video's guys keep it up and good luck on Virtue Spirits. Looking forward to a bottle.
For anyone to be a lucky recipient for a sample of WTMK Voyage would be awesome. Here in Washington state with our ridiculous liquor sales tax of 20.5%, it would easily run in 300+. Great video guys, keep the great work. Thanks!
Your guys review has intrigued me enough to want to try it.
Finally bit the bullet because a friend offered to split it with me. So glad we did. Price sucks- but the price of most things suck these days. No one will be happy spending $300 on this- but I don't think many people will be disappointed after trying it either.
Love these guys man keep up the great work !!
Nice🎉🎉
Nice shirt Sean! I just went there on saturday and we joined their membership! We live 30 mins away so we'll be there a LOT! I got yall's bottle sticker from Kingslayer! Wish i couldve gotten the bottle. lol
I was there in September for my birthday when they had boxes of the voyage but couldn’t make myself spend 290 dollars on a bottle! Cheers guys!
Just happy having y’all as neighbors. Cheers from the land of the packers cheese and Hodag
This is the single best drink of bourbon I have ever personally had. I some at the WT distillery and I thought it was just amazing!
I had some at the WT distillery earlier this week. I love it. I wish it wasn't so pricy and easy to find. That cherry cola note with that rum funk makes it a perfect sipper. Especially when you are overlooking a gorgeous river view.
Love the content fellas and thanks for the review. Bit out of my $ range. Love to hear the comparisons. Again, thanks
Seems like this might be right up my alley!
I love that you guys review it so I can live vicariously through you! I love watching the content and the honesty in these reviews. Virtue spirits to the moon!
Great review guys!
Would love to try that. WT is always my favorite.
Best looking bottle. Great review
I always love a rum finish. It just seems to bring a funky sweetness that I love to whiskey.
Love the bottle and packaging.
Great idea with the free sappreciate the content and the review thank you
Always appreciate the shenanigans debating :)
Love your stuff, I’ve been thinking of getting this bottle.
Love watching you guys.
Is it just me, or does it seem like the more crazy price-inflated bottles that come out, the more used-to-be hard to find good affordable bottles are available? And some of THOSE prices seem to be dropping. Keep buying those unicorns, guys. You’re helping me out here.
Prices are getting crazy. Love the channel.
Great video! I wish it was closer to other masters keeps in price. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to try it one day.
I was in Kentucky and missed this by hours according to the gift shop staff. I wanted one so bad, love WT and Master Keep.
Thanks for the review gents.
Putting this video on repeat on all 2000 devices in my house. We getting them samples one way or another dagnamit!
Never had masters keep collection. Good looking packaging.
i love the sample idea!
I picked one up outside of Hartford in August. Outstanding.
Love the bottle look
300 clams. Things are out of hand! Thanks for the review - living vicariously through the Junkies, Portski, and Jason C. isn't a bad way to spend your time.
I neeeeeeed to try this. AE Rye is one of my favorites so I can't imagine how good this is.
Ive only had and have WTMK One, also most I've spend on 1 bottle. Got drawn in a lottery and thats what I picked and really enjoy it. Share it when someones wants to try, othetwise it waits for special occasions.
$275 is eye watering but Dan is on point about the glass, it's top notch glass.
Thanks for putting out the $$$ on this one for the review. Very fair and honest one at that. A sample would make a great stocking stuffer for the wife as she is a rum finished fan!
Loving the content, keep it up!
Always a great show!! I remember seeing MK at Costco a few years ago at $135. I broke down and finally bought the last one for $199 at Costco and I thought that was high. The pricing now has become so ridiculous for a commodity. This is a result of an industry that has segmented the market so much that the marketing is preying on the consumer who is easily seduced. They've done an incredible job.
Love your reviews, especially the heart aches Dan gives Sean every time he throws an expensive bottle
I think that's pretty amazing, boys. Love the content and I look forward to the videos.
Dan is right, best looking bottle out there.
would love to try one of these, keep up the good work
Usually love WT but having listened to this review I think this one is out of my league. That extra $100 is tough to swallow.
Great video!
Love the reviews of these
One of the bottles that is always interesting! Great video
I've always loved Turkey products, but never been lucky enough to pick up a Masters Keep bottle where I live. But even when I heard that this years was going for 270 my mouth dropped. The price increase from last year is crazy! Love to hear the juice inside is great though!
Really cool idea. I’ll be sending to friends too!
Definitely the masters keep I want to try. Love a rum cask
Let's go!!!!! Love your vids. Can't wait to get some Virtue!
It pains me to spend $100 for a bottle. So those high priced bottles will never be in my cabinets. Thanks for the honesty on this bottle. Give me a Rare Breed!
Love the content. Really wanting to get this one
Let’s get this covered!!!
Rum finished master's keep sounds amazing
Love the videos! Wish I could get a bottle of any of the Masters Keep.
Love the content guys…. Keep it up!
