It's not the hardest thing to make. I've been making these for years, just with cinnamon rolls filling.. If you can bake a bread, you can make this! 👍😊
3:30 What IS that large white thing in the bin with the eggs? Also, I prefer a babka where the layers kinda unravel a bit during slicing, exposing all that chocolatey (or cinnamon-y) goodness. This just looks like a loaf of bread with chocolate swirls, although I'm sure it tastes great.
i'm guessing it's a preferment being added for extra flavor, with most of the dough having a short ferment. like how biga or poolish preferment used in the best pizza places.
