    Beautiful car. I own an F10, but the small 520d of which I am in love. Hope you enjoy your car for a long time.

      We don't have the 520d in the US, I would love to have one for a daily driver. We only have the 535d but they're hard to find! I will surely enjoy it friend, thank you for the comment!

      @@thesundaymorningdriver1656 it's a great daily driver, not thirsty if you have a light foot and the taxes are ok for a 2.0 liter engine. Starting from 3.0 the taxes increase dramatically. Have a lovely Sunday!

    “It does feel slow to a regular person” where I live I have a car that is not regular a e39 530i with 231hp and I think it’s fast now I imagine a m5 f10. That’s why I’m buying one next month

    I am currently looking at a 2014 F10 M5 with 91,xxx miles and 2013 F10 M5 with 53,xxx miles. I plan to purchase a third party warranty with whichever I go with but I wanted to know if I should look out for anything in particular in those mile ranges.

      Yes sadly the MMI is not the best. However, there amazing after market systems. I've spoken with other owners that have aftermarket systems with Apple Carplay and all the other features that modern head units have. Highly considering doing that upgrade in the future!

    How does the transmission feel compared to the 8 speed auto in the non m5 f10? More uncomfortable in slow traffic?

    • @thesundaymorningdriver1656
      @thesundaymorningdriver1656  2 роки тому

      I think you're referring to the 8 speed ZF in F90 M5? I don't have any experience driving an F90 yet but I'm willing to bet the 8 speed ZF is more comfortable around town, but at the same time is pretty aggressive when driving hard. The DCT in the F10 M5 will show some hiccups not being as smooth as 8 speed ZF at slow speeds, that's the trade off choosing between dual clutch vs torque converter. When it comes to driving hard, they both will feel different, one thing is for sure the DCT feels awesome as you can feel the car snap as gears change and clutches engage aggressively.

    How long have you had it? Is it your daily driver ? And how has the reliability been like ?

    • @thesundaymorningdriver1656
      @thesundaymorningdriver1656  3 роки тому +1

      I have owned this M5 for 2 years roughly and have put almost 20k miles on the car. This is my weekend car and not a daily driver, although the miles I put on it would suggest this is equivalent to a daily driver. Reliability has been really well, this car has never left me stranded. This car has only had two drivetrain malfunctions (puts car in limp mode), and has only been in the shop twice for those repairs. All the other shop visits have been for usual/preventative maintenance.
      Thanks for the comment!

    • @thesundaymorningdriver1656
      @thesundaymorningdriver1656  3 роки тому +1

      This car has Lane Keep Assist, as long as the vehicle's cameras detect clearly marked lane markings on both sides of the vehicle. No adaptive cruise control on this one.

    how many miles did you get it with and is the transmission jerky? I drove an m5 2014 with 72k miles and it felt really jerky and that suspension lose and honestly not fast. Maybe I need to test drive another one.

    • @thesundaymorningdriver1656
      @thesundaymorningdriver1656  3 роки тому

      I got mines with 56k and I put 20k on it already,. The DCT is really smooth especially in it's softest setting, it probably hasn't been serviced because I already serviced my transmission. If the suspension was really loose and it didn't feel fast, you most likely left the car in efficient and didn't put the car in M Dynamic Mode. When you do make sure you have dry, flat roads.
      Safe driving!

    How does this feel compared to the e60 M5 tho?

    • @thesundaymorningdriver1656
      @thesundaymorningdriver1656  3 роки тому +1

      From what I've spoken and learned from E60 M5 owners, the E60 is much more raw, aggressive, and better handling compared to the F10 M5. If you're going strictly for driving experience the E60 M5 is better. However, the F10 M5 is better in other areas.

      @@thesundaymorningdriver1656 agreed mate. I’ve owned both (currently have the F10) and the F10 is the better car, it just isn’t as special. A friend summed the F10 up perfectly - it would make a great AMG, it’s just not a great M car. For any time you’re not at full 10 tenths you want the F10. When you’re truly gunning it, I’d take rhe E60 every day
