- Today I'm reviewing the Feelworld F5 Pro external video monitor. I've found it to be an amazing little monitor and I think it's well worth the money. External video monitors make such a difference with features like false color, focus peaking and the ability to load LUTs onto the preview.

Another good video. Thanks for sharing this recommendation. I'm thinking of doing some non-UA-cam material with my DSLR and your channel has answered a couple of questions for me and taught me some new things, which I definitely appreciate. Regarding the false color UA-cam videos: there seems to be A LOT of them. While I, of course, would love your opinion on false color as I am curious if it helps you with the atmosphere of your videos (great lighting is always a factor you excel at), UA-cam definitely has a lot of videos on the subject. Personally, I'd love to see how it affects your work, but I realize this may be a well covered topic that you are conflicted on whether or not to create a video for yourself. Enjoy your new video monitor. Hope it lasts for a while for you!
Thanks as always! Great point regarding there being a lot of other videos on false color!
Mate, I watched you kindle review. Thanks for that. Then I decided to just tip you on your mic, but I see you perfected it. Awesome stuff. Subed.
Thanks mate 😊 Yeah definitely been working through the audio issues over time.
Great video and sorry for the stupid question. But, can you use the screen just as bigger screen for the camera and still record 4k60 in camera?
Mil gracias por hacer estos tutoriales, son perfectos y super amigables 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Tan contenta de que sean útiles. :D
How to import the LUTS? I have one and can't seem to import them
This Guy, Legend!
This guy, absolute legend 👆🏼
hi does this monitor allow you watch recorded footage back through the screen? i have a diffrent feelworld screen and it doesnt let you watch recorded footage through the monitor (only when youre filming, not after) thanks!
Hi Nick! Can I still use field monitor features such as focus peak, exposure, zebra, even if my camera doesn't have those feature? Thanks.
Yep, you sure can! Works with any camera or video feed!
Dear friend, based on your experience, do you find it interesting to use the FEELWORLD F5 Pro V4 only in photography? Or is this monitor just for video? Thanks.
Personally I just use it for video 😊
Please do a video on false colors. Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! I've already already done a video on false color, you can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/3kUwUu-fWyA/v-deo.html 😊
Question nick, I shoot a canon 90d, does this monitor allow playback to review footage on the monitor itself using the on camera controls? I bought a Atamos Shinobi and it would NOT allow me to review my footage. My camera works using a HD TV as an external monitor and allows me to play back footage, but the shinobi would not. Trying to confirm I can play back footage before I purchase. Thanks for your review!
Great question! I’ll have a look and let you know!
@@NickKendall Just picked one up and it DOES playback so thats great. I'm really thinking that I had a faulty shinobi. Other question about the F5 Pro, if I mount it upside down, on say a gimbal, do I have to manually flip the image via the menu settings or is there a setting that will do it automaticlaly based on the orientation it senses in the monitor? I see it flips both horizontal and vertical. Was just curious if there's another setting that will do it automatically. Thank you for your reply!
Oh amazing! Yeah I thought it would. It doesn’t automatically flip the image but you can assign the flip setting to one of the function buttons which I’ve done so you can quickly change the setting.

@@NickKendall First of all, thank you for your replys. I have another question. I shot an event over the weekend and used this new monitor. Everything looked properly exposed on the monitor, (at least as good as I could get considering a low light situation) but after reviewing the footage today on my desktop, SO much of it is super dark. I know you can adjust things like the brightness of the display etc, but what is the point of having a monitor if the image you are seeing in the monitor is actually different than what the camera is recording? This makes no sense to me. And how do you ever "adjust" the monitor to match what the camera is recording, if you don't know what the camera sees until you download footage? I hope that makes sense. This is just incredibly frustrating to me.
I have canon sl2 pair with this monitor, why does mine don’t have a sound?
Hmm, do you mean the monitor isn't receiving sound from the camera?
@@NickKendall yea when I review the footage there’s no sound coming out from the monitor.
Hmm, I'm not too sure sorry! It could be a limitation of the SL2. Maybe take a look at the manual to see if it has any clues?@@NOTHINGXX1
@@NickKendall oh so the f5 pro have built in speaker?
@@NickKendall i look into another review, I scrolled down look comments and the creator replied on someone that ( it doesn’t have a built in speaker we need headphone in order to hear the sound ) so i think there’s no built in speaker
