I was about to freak out about the orientation of the external NP-F mount, good thing it's not fixed. Having no antennas on the transmitter is a bit of a concern for me. Thanks for the video
I find with all monitors mounted to a camera, that a lot of the functionality that you need to access can't be done while filming, if you run your demo back, every time you touched the screen of the buttons the camera moved ( jitter ), it would be a great thing if there was some way of control without touching the monitor. Because of this in the past I have always mounted monitors on the tripod and only connected the monitor via cable.
Hello Phillip and thank you for nice monitor review. I just got my first monitor Feelworld LUT5 and like it. Not yet used but trying already. I see you shows connected monitor in camera Movie mode and both , camera and monitor screens is working and monitor full screen displayed. Same with my rig. BUT when I switch camera in Photo mode then only display screen ON and camera screen is OFF and in display screen leave some black spaces around displayed view from camera, but I can see all camera information/change displays views - same as when using just camera. What about your display in camera PHOTO MODE ? Thank you again and have a great light for shooting!
Thanks for showing how you can rotate the adapter mount on the back. I just got this monitor so I'm still figuring it out. I actually ordered the V2 version on Amazon but they sent the V4. Not sure of the differences. I have used the USB Type-C input to power the monitor with a standard power bank.
@@olgadekell I think so, but the only ones I've tried are the ones on my channel so I don't have a comprehensive database or anything. I like its features, especially if you want to use it to power another device
Dear friend, based on your experience, do you find it interesting to use the FEELWORLD F5 Pro V4 only in photography? Or is this monitor just for video? Thanks.
I really don't know. I'm just a casual photographer and if I go out with the express purpose of taking photos, I don't bring anything more than a camera and a lens
I've noticed a lot of heat at the HDMI connector but nothing abnormal or concerning with the monitor overall. Maybe turn down the backlight brightness. That would definitely cause the monitor to get hot
It's probably a limitation of your camera. A lot of cameras do this. I'm not sure if it's a limitation of processing power or limited bandwidth or something
I like cables from Monoprice. They are slim, high speed, and affordable. I have 12", 18" and 6 foot lengths. I've had them for several years and they've held up well. If you like coiled cables, a lot of the rigging accessory companies--Kondor Blue, SmallRig, etc.--sell those
It displays a 4K 120p signal from my a7SIII, so... I think it will work with the a6300 as well. The display itself is only a 60hz panel, but it can show the 4K 120 output from the camera
I'm shocked that people are still using external monitors with Sony cameras, especially when apps like Monitor+ exists for years and when paired with a cheap 1080p tablet it will blast the external monitor in both brightness and battery life and functionality. Go figure.
definitely one of my favorite budget monitors out there! great video man!
Thanks!
Wow man. This was an excellent video top to bottom. Fair, high quality and thorough. Subbed 🫡 very underrated
Much appreciated!
Hey mate, really really good review, Straight to the point without messing around, love this kind of content. Hope the channel keeps growing!

Great review Philip I picked up one of these a few months back great peace of tech
Thanks Robert
That really helped me, thanks. I think I'll go with this instead of purchasing the Accsoon SeeMo iPhone monitor adapter that I was planning.

Even on a tripod you can see the camera shake? Maybe just use the monitor for framing, focus and use a camera app on your phone to mess with settings?
thanks for the review , keep it up 👌🏾💎
Thanks, will do!

It's not really clear what the differences between all the versions are. Glad I could help, though
Thats super cool!
@PhillipRPeck What bran of V-m is that my friend ? Great Video
V-Mount? Moman
Can you charge the NPF battery while on the monitor with USB-C? Nice showcase of the monitor features.
Thank you. I don't think so. It looks like it just switches to the USB-C to power the monitor
If you use the camera in vertical mode, does the monitor flip the orientation too?
It doesn't auto flip, but you can flip it in the menu
@@PhillipRPeck 👍 would you recommend this one as a budget monitor or is there are better one for the price?
@@olgadekell I think so, but the only ones I've tried are the ones on my channel so I don't have a comprehensive database or anything. I like its features, especially if you want to use it to power another device
Does it have the auto flip function?

is this monitor compatible with lumix g7? am having problems when shooting video
That would be a limitation of the camera but I don't know in particular what that camera's capabilities are regarding outputting video over HDMI
Hi , i have a question. I got this monitor but i notice that it gets warm very fast (10-15min). Is that normal?
I've noticed a lot of heat at the HDMI connector but nothing abnormal or concerning with the monitor overall. Maybe turn down the backlight brightness. That would definitely cause the monitor to get hot
I BOUGHT THE SAME SCREEN...why do my camera screen turns off as I turn the external screen on??

Can anyone recommend the best cable to use for this monitor?

Does anyone know if you can still shoot photos viewing through the monitor?
Should be able to but maybe depends on what camera you're using.
May I ask whether can it show signal of 1080p 120fps out of sony a6300? thank you

@@PhillipRPeck thank you for your response!
@@PhillipRPeck after 2 months, it still working perfectly fine, isn't it?
My monitor suddenly shows black bars on the left and right? You know how this happened…
On A7iii as well
Even a picture on my phone showing the monitor without black bars fullscreen… cant get it to go back
Did you turn on the aspect ratio to 4:3? On the menu bar, third from the top (has a magnifying glass), then Aspect Ratio (second item from the top)
Nope thats not it…. Im getting frustrated all of a sudden it happened. I even have a picture on my iphone showing it fullscreen…

I've not heard of Monitor+ but possibly people don't like relying on apps. I've only used the Sony and Panasonic Imaging apps and they're not great
@@PhillipRPeck They are terrible. I highly recommend you to check this app out though.
@@StringerBell I will. Thanks for the tip
