The 4kids era of the Pokemon dub is much more fondly remembered than the DP days but I also really love Dawn's voice actress. I wish some of these VAs got more recognition.

She was the saving grace of the Diamond and Pearl dub. After the ninth season we needed a new voice for the female protagonist. Michele Knotz lacks the vocal range of Veronica Taylor and sometimes she'd sound either too young or too old.

Did you know that Dawn's voice actress she has a daughter who used to voice Nancy Margaret Clancy on Disney Junior's Fancy Nancy? Ooh la la, Dawn says Nancy.
Honestly she was a goated character and I liked that they gave her at least a bit of character development. I don't recall how much they gave her but she's still one of my favs all the same.
Not just a bit! She had a full-on storyline. Wanted to be a Top Coordinator like her mom but sucked at it. Even gave up on it at some point to try Gym Battles, to see if that wouldn't be her true calling. Learned from all her mistakes and applied her learned lessons the following time.
