The Democratic Republic of Congo, located in the heart of Africa, has been embroiled in conflict for nearly 30 years. Over 6 million lives have been lost due to this ongoing turmoil.
With over 6 million casualties, the conflict in DR Congo is the deadliest in the world. Based on the belief that "all lives are equal in value," it is surprising that this conflict does not receive more media coverage.
However, for some reason, events in the DR Congo are rarely reported. Despite being considered the world's deadliest conflict, the situation in the DR Congo remains underreported. Here, I will explain the reasons behind this lack of coverage.
