Head over to www.munrodrone.com for Scotlands Munros filmed from the air.
Whats your favourite Munro?
Wow, spectacular. That definitely makes me want to explore the heart of the Cairngorms, with the aid of a tent.
Been in the toilet in the bothy .. wow!
Another great video! I did this one from the Sugar Bowl carpark after camping near the summit of Braeriach for the night. Long walk back from here! Keep up the good work!
glad you like it it. Share like RT and all that social media stuff.....
Thinking of getting a drone myself. Do you preprogram the track before you do the munro?
No its all done by map recce/sun angle/flight paths etc.
OK thanks. And what drone do you use? My friend has a Mavic Pro which seems very portable
Mavic pro is very portable BUT imagery/camera is not good enough and tends to fall apart if you study it closely. Grass looks blotchy etc My clients would not accept end results. Fun to fly though. If you are blogging the imagery can be ok but for pro use it does not cut the mustard. I use Inspire 2,M200 and S900 depending on job and client requirements.
Adam I will put some photos up on my Twitter page. Ideal place to camp is below Devils Point on the bealach -close to water and dependent on wind direction sheltered. Enjoy.
I've booked a week in Braemar next summer. I intend to bring my mountain bike and use it to speed up access to Corrour bothy, from where I can climb Devils Point, Cairn Toul, Sgur a Lochan Uaine in a long day. Your video really shows how ice age glaciers have carved out the landscape.
@@adamlea6339 Mountain bike is a good shout from Linn of Dee to Derry Lodge then walk the rest in. Above Corrour Bothy on the beleach below Devils point is an ideal wild camp. High enough to be away from midge, water source and reasonably flat
