@campbellbuilt i have used many Jigsaw in my career, and they are all the same. My Mafell with the Mafell blade remains accurate, and for that, it is the best saw on the planet. It will cut 7" without a doubt, but I have not tested that yet.
Safety issue , dont know in what market, Japan ? One reason why i prefer D.handle jigsaw is the trigger , same with paddle/rattail angle grinder, tool stop cutting, when i dont press the trigger.
Really wish makita would make more of a push in the U.S. Think it would benefit them and benefit us Great tools

With that comment you better own one. Never ran a Mafell but love the idea of being able to reverse the blade. I may try one.

put a trigger under like the older jigsaws so easy

For me Makita just needs to relocate the button a little closer.
