I loathe what Marvel keeps doing to Colossus.
Even though in the Deadpool movie, they did a fair representation of Colossus as a chivalrous steel giant (albeit in CGI).
Arguably, Colossus is nigh equal in strength as Ben Grimm, The Thing, he keeps getting short shifted by writers. He has lifted the Blob. He is far more skilled in fighting styles, Greco-Roman wrestling as well as rumbling (look who his teachers were: Wolverine, Cyclops, Warbird, Nightcrawler and Beast) and martial arts. The Thing is just a brawler.
He was the powerhouse & invulnerable one of the X-Men, far more than Warbird, Beast and Wolverine. He had the heart of a poet. A simple farmboy far from home.
Give Colossus his due. He has arguably been my favorite Marvel character because he is humble, innocent, talented and has great love in him not just for Kitty Pride but for humanity and mutant-kind too.
You have soul, brother, very well written.

Actually he is not Grimm's equal in strength..not even close. He has and will always be a class 75er meanwhile Grimm has been on a steady incline from a base of class 75 into class 100 via mutation advancement and exercise.
I hate how rob explains so much in the characters,and gets like 400 000 views while watch mojo put out short 1 minute vids on character origins and get millions of views. I fell like it's unfair

Short videos are simply more appealing than longer ones. I’m sure if there was a metric that actually measured how long people spent watching videos on each channel, Rob would be doing better than the clickbait channels.
I'm sure someone already said it but when Colossus transforms he undergoes a whole body transformation. Flesh, bone, muscles, tendons ALL convert to an Osmium like steel. This conversion is psionic in nature and results in his atoms being swapped via an apparent extra dimentional process with atoms very similar to Osmium . Osmium is a very dense metal that can actually be found on our periodic table. Pete's form of Osmium is more durable and flexible the naturally occurring Osmium.
Often, writters forget than Colossus doesn't need to breath while in metallic form.
Not only that but he doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep etc while he's in metallic form. He is sort of immortal in that form.
Marvel has always been ahead of its time when it comes to civil rights and social issues
Exactly...especially in the animated 90's cartoon. It's kinda funny that in those old cartoon alt right was a constant threat to peace for xmen

that backstory of how Colossus powers manifested is contradictive of how it was originally shown appearing. It happened when he protected his little sister from a runaway tractor. they even put that fact in the 90's cartoon.

Colossus is one of my top three favorite X-men, right next to Kurt, and Logan. There is a lot of potential for him, especially after the side affects he's suffering from being infused with the Phoenix force.

I feel that he as a character is underrated, especially behind the Thing (Ben Grimm). I feel if he gets his own solo series by a good writer (similar to She-Hulk's by Charles Soule), he'll get more respect in future team stories.

This makes me remember why I love comics. Imagine the Giant size storyline as a film. The superhero/horror/ sci-fi film would be something new that no one has ever seen. Imagine the Brood on film. It would be like Avengers meets Aliens. Maybe Deadpool gets Fox to wise up.
Colossus has been one of my top three favorite comic characters since I was a kid! Love this video.

As a teenager in the 90s, I used to argue with my friends that my favorite hero in comics Colossus could beat Wolverine in a fight. The issue with Arcade shows with his gentle nature taken away. Colossus could beat him. It all depends on the writing and could go in Wolverine's favor, but I think he would need a good deal of caginess and cunning to pull it off.
Ah yes, when America has mutants, they have a school for the gifted to help them grow and become heroes. When Russia has mutants, they are tortured into becoming evil for the soul purpose of destroying America. I would say this writing is dated but who am I kidding.

3:34 Why did you pronounce 'stamina' like 'STEMINA'? Not trashing but it was just...weird.
you may not realize it, but rob has a bit of a lisp. occasionally his pronunciation of words is changed because of it, but not so much that he cannot be understood or that the word sounds alien, just slightly off. it may not be why he pronounces it that way, since he could have vocal origins in the eastern, northern, southern us, speak another language, or a myriad of different things that effect how you pronounce words. i have a friend who lives in boston, he always asks if i want a glass of warter (water). its hillarious.

For anyone that doesn't get why that doesn't make sense, it's grammatically incorrect as 'lack of poor sales' would imply that the sales were at least decent or good. Therefore, the series being cancelled for average sales makes no sense whatsoever.

Where Wakandan Vibranium (what Cap's shield is made of) absorbs vibratory or kinetic energy, Antarctic Vibranium, through a means that is not understood, emanates vibrations which cause the atomic and molecular bonds in nearby metals of other kinds to weaken, which results in the liquefaction of nearby solid metals.
+Willie Robinson If I remember correctly it's the certain "anti-metal" vibranium and I don't think Cap's shield has that type in it. I could be wrong though.

Could you explain as to why Stan Lee is so popular in the general public and writers like Jay Lewis, John Bur, chris claremont, Martin Goodman are not mention when it comes to movies or anything. I know personal that a year ago before knowing about this channel, I thought that Stan Lee founded and created every single chracter and a lot of my friends still think that. I mean, Stan Lee is cool, but I wonder why he got so famous.
Because he was the face and everyone else were the muscles and bones.
Because Stan Lee made a lot of the characters, and Claremont and the rest while making a few characters in the Marvel U mostly just play in Stan Lee's sandbox. Most of what they create, they publish at a company like Image. So they can remain owners of what they create.

And Claremont is incredibly highly regarded in the history of marvel by fans, and critics! perhaps the highest, if not Top 3.

Regardless of creators of different characters in the MU Kirby, Ditko & etc Stan was developing origin and, or world building for 90 % of the characters presented to him. Read his stuff about history in writing scripts for several genres in radio & newspaper then comics take the same time. But for me and others Marvel approach to Comics was revolutionary, DC in my mind as a youth and older kids in H.S & College was viewed as a joke like Teen Titans Go is to Young Justice. DC hadn't really been relevant til Artist & Writers left Marvel most prominently Frank Miller and Image Crew and others to numerous 4 me to remember. An they reshaped the DCU to what you know from Dark Knight to what you see now. Marvel didn't dumb down vocabulary, subject matter, or complexity like DC back in the day while he was Editor of Marvel. THERE ISN'T LITERARY WORK IN ANY OTHER MEDIUM GREATER IN ANY ASPECT (Plot,Story,Drama,Romance,Politics, Horror, Complexity, Fantasy,ETC) TO COMICS BECAUSE OF HIM. In fact if anyone that you appreciate in literature, art,architecture, science, Politics,etc grew up in the 60s to Now, Most likely have been influenced by Stan and Marvel whether they read the comics or NOT. Marvel Ascension to the Top spot was founded on & during Civil rights movement. As a result the themes of Characters and stories were current with the political and social environment & philosophical ideas at the time for each decade since. That's why Despite Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman creating a stable foundation for the Super hero genre, Spider-Man is the most relatable Super Hero in Comic History and the rest of MCU heroes as well. In fact for those that hated reading books usually liked reading comics. Just based on that he & Marvel are responsible for literacy of WHOLE GENERATIONS OF CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD.
As a REMINDER prior to the Watchmen, Sandman comics & Dark Knight, DC wasn't taken seriously, among mature readers. The DC you know now is a direct byproduct of those that left Marvel over 2 decades ago.
So if you're DCU fan boy now born after or grew up during that time, THANK STAN LEE.
Please show me where the people marching for equal rights in the 60s/70s ever said a thing about gay or transgendered rights.

WTF!!!! The Civil Rights Movement was in no way shape or form a movement that focused, talked about or spoke on the right of gays, lesbians, or the LBGT community. Their struggle is valuable and important, but to put it on par or try to tie it into the civil rights movement is inaccurate and disrespectful.
