I’ve watched many people building U-Hauls and Brad is one of three that have the layout figured out and it just makes sense,especially the amount of solar !
Thanks for showing the Lowes dwawers thing. I work as a Carpenter & Cabinetmaker. and do plumbing/electrical also. The box truck is the best for mobile live-travel-work Life. 🙂

Loved this video Brad! What kind of saw do you need to cut out the doors and windows? This is my next priority. Have to say again, that your new counter top is so awesome! I just love your van, has such a sharp decor. If you do those outdoor storage boxes like that one gentleman's truck, can you do a video on it? I would be interested in getting something like that, to have as a little "garage." Peace ☮
Thank you! i cut out the windows with a jig saw and door with a saw zall. i have videos posted about both of those. ill definitely be adding those storage boxes and yes, ill make a video :)
I could go work on my box truck right now. Or I could procrastinate for another 20 and watch this. Edit: hope to give a tour of mine next year. It's so wildly different than anything shown here.
Brad can you run your split a/c unit with a 2500 watt gas generator or would you have to go with a higher power unit - the smaller generator would be more cost effective in my eyes. Thanks Pat
yes you can run it on 2500. you could run it on a 1200 watt. this unit pulls 800 watts max and does not have a surge at startup due the style of compressor
If I ever go mobile it will be in a converted 17’ box truck they are built to carry the weight and the ceiling height is awesome! I will be as stealth as possible!
