I can't believe I've finally found this!!!! I've been preserving a mono VHS copy of this concert that I recorded 24 years ago when I was in high school. Its one of my most valuable possessions. Thank you Grenada28 for posting this - AND IN STEREO! Mark Knopfler has been my favourite guitarist for so long - its fabulous seeing the mystro at it again after so many years. This was awesome on the night - Tunnel of Love was the highlight though - he got a standing ovation for that.
What can I add to what it's already been said....? This is what I call MUSIC. It's the quintessence of all that's enthusiasm, passion, emotion in music. So many guitarists have tried to imitate Mark, but still today his touch and sound are inimitable. Out of sight!

Wish I was there! Still I was fortunate enough to have seen the same tour performance at Red Rocks! I'm now at 53 and still one of the most memorable sights ever. I'm lucky.
I queued up overnight to be 2nd in line to buy tickets for this concert. We kept ourselves warm in sleeping bags. The guy behind me was hilarious. He spent the early hours of the morning trying to convince me that Bruce Lee was still alive. The four concerts sold out in a couple of minutes. It turns out that Australia was the end of the tour, so after going around Australia, they returned to Sydney and filled TWENTY FOUR concerts at the Sydey Entertainment Centre in a row !!!!!!
It makes me wanna cry, to say the least. Mark Knopfler is the reason I chose a Fender Strat when I got good enough to have a great guitar. He won't even look at the guitar while he's playing. Just brilliant and inspiring. Thank heavens for him.

Wish Dire Straights could remaster it - clean it up and publish it.

i've got the dvd of the sydney gig. the last of the brother in arms tour, over 2 years they did 276 gigs in over 100 cities.. and the interview before this show shows a knopfler who's completely exhausted. look at his eyes in this vid, he wants to get some sleep for sure.. still his playing is so frigging awesome.. and notice the ring!
