Great to see you bashing out the videos again 🥳 I’m really missing being in the air & your videos are giving me enough of an ‘aviation fix’ to keep me going! 😊👍🏼
Yes I reached a bit of a sticking point with the editing - it started feeling a bit tedious so whenever that happens I just put it down for a while. I make these videos for fun so if it stops being fun, I stop making them! Doesn't usually take me much longer than a month or two to get back into the swing of it! It's harder to actually get the footage this time of year though with the dodgy weather but so far it hasn't been as wet as it was last year! Hope you are well and I am looking forward to what I suspect will be a very interesting video from you sir very soon!
We have the hill to deal with and you have that steep and very low climbing turn! 😊 I didn’t get to fly a funny hat Christmas video this year but added my seasons greetings to my last video about the Nayland slope. Really enjoyed flying with you on this trip and smiled when I imagined all of you orbiting mid estuary. Thanks for posting Nick
Honestly, that hill! I didn't realise it was that steep until I saw that video! Yes - I have got used to the turn on climb out - truth be told, I actually quite enjoy it!
When you flew off the ground I could almost feel the awesome feeling of when I was in the plane last month. I also could almost feel my ears popping.😂 my ears popped a lot on my very first flight but I loved it!
Ah I’m not too worried about bird strikes do happen but they are rare. They are much better aviators than us humans and these engines do make quite a bit of noise so they tend to keep just far enough away!
Bizzare this tuned up in my feed - I was in the PA28 at Blackpool G-MZ who had no idea where the office was! Thanks for your help and yes it was it the same place!
That’s funny! Small world! Yes we found our way out eventually too but it wasn’t immediately clear. It looked like that whole row of buildings was closed! Hope you had a good flight back.
Very nice vid. Thanks. Brought back so many memories of seeing that part of the world from the cockpit of our Chipmunk - often upside down! The last time I flew into Blackpool I was on 10 as well. Vince C
I bet that was absolutely unbelievable! The chipmunk is a very cool piece of kit! Makes my Eurostar look like a paper aeroplane in comparison 😂. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! Yes I have been into Cark once actually - they were doing a lot of parachuting that day and it was very busy but had a great bacon butty! There is a video somewhere - it was on the way back from the Lake District. The landing fee's were only £14 which I thought was quite reasonable for the facilities. The pub next door was very nice too.
Hey Nick, with you doing a short trip like this, and with you taking off from a smaller airstrip, do you have to file a flight plan, and if so, where do you do it??
Hi Phil. No flight plan required! You only need to file a flight plan really if you are flying IFR or leaving the country I think. Generally all we need to do is call the airport for "PPR" - prior permission required for landing there so they know to expect you and in some cases, if you don't then turn up, check on you.
Is there much of a community ? I have had a 5 year break from flying but looking to getting back into it but don’t want to go back into pa28’s etc. looking for something light /cheap and sociable
There is indeed. The social side is great up here in the North West. I’m a member of Cheshire Flyers who meet once a month socially as well as have a flyout every first Saturday of the month and 3 x 4 day flyouts a year - and of course the fabulous Christmas party I attended just last week!
Hi John! I wasn't doing that I was doing an SSEA rating, however, the door opens next year to convert an NPPL to a PPL(A) so I am definitely be going to do that once the doorway is open! Thank you for watching!
Great video Nick, have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and here's to a blue sky new season. 🎄
@@ShortField Thanks Terry. Same to you!

looks like a few birds flying close when you landed 😱

Thank you Clive! Happy Christmas to you too! Hope you have an enjoyable December.
Nice video. I like the sports star too.
Hey Roger hope you are well! I also like the Sports Star but that is a Eurostar SL lol 😂
Bless you. Sorry. 🤣 They look so similar.
It's still a good looking plane.
