- Let us break down the crazy numbers for the biomass of the earth! First we visualize all living things on earth, then zoom into the animals and finally to the mammals.
Since the dawn of agriculture the world has changed a lot and wild animals, not the least wild mammals have taken a hard hit due to human activity. Cows, pigs, sheep, donkeys, goats, camels, buffalo and horses now dominate the mammals on earth alongside humans.

Wonderful! what a lot of work, thank you. This is a really important point to help humans understand that it is not the sheer number of us but the impact of our actions. Just a suggestion - an info graphic on the amount of carbon absorbed each year compared to the amount emitted would be great. Cheers.
Fascinating! Thank you.
So the summary is that we should reduce our impact on earth quickly.
Yeah no shit
I find these visualizations very helpful, thank you.
Where were the reptiles and amphibians represented?
Probably to little for even one circle
That is a good question, I don't think the original source stated that but maybe I oversaw it. I'm guessing that it could be as suggested here, that they are less than .1 % but I'm not sure
this is really good video
Wow
This was really good and surprised it only has 1k views so far. I wonder where chickens feature on the chart as I once read that if aliens ever came to earth they would see a planet of chickens. Do they sit in the birds section and by what percentage. Only 4% of mammals being wild was a big surprise.
that's a really sad story
Don't throw away your food! It's precious!
